Easy 5-minute Gravy

  • You'll Need:
    1 quart of beef broth or stock
    4 Tablespoons cornstarch mixed with equal amounts of water.
    And favorite seasonings
    Directions:
    Bring the broth/stock to a boil and add the cornstarch mixture and wish vigorously until incorporated and reduced to a simmer. Taste and add any seasonings to your taste. For a thicker gravy, double the cornstarch and water mixture.
    Side Note:
    I made my stock with grilled beef bones,1½ quarts water,salt pepper (1Tablespoon each),1 small onion sliced,1 carrot sliced,4 bay leaves and one stalk of Celery chopped.
    I then boiled everything in a 2 quart pot for an hour and reduced to a simmer for another hour.
