  • I know I said I was going to talk about rage baiting in Kpop, and Min See-jin this week, but I remembered that I haven't talked about my revisiting of the FREEZE/UNFREEZE mini documentary series and how WRONG I was about that and a few other things as well, so I decided to make this video to talk about that.
    I will revisit the two other topics next week. I'm still working on the scripts for both of them so look forward to those topics. Also, I am working on getting back to reactions, so please be patient with me🙏.

    If he didn't do anything then the company knew that and rebranded him and now he's performing again. That was the company apologizing; for what exactly? If Lucas didn't do anything what are they apologizing for.
    So, he was falsely accused of something, just like many other idols.

    It's like these artists/idols are just a piece of meat for these companies.

    No forgiveness needed. SM wasn't clear in their messaging or true intention of both Freeze & Unfreeze. Nor his hiatus and it's duration.
    SM had Lucas deliver vague statements that (I felt) actually hurt him and made him look guilty of "something" and it did not help his solo debut.
    Note that I"m not a Lucas stan and only got into K-pop last year. After watching, my assumption was that if he was truly guilty of anything, it was extremely minor and nothing the public should be concerned with. Otherwise, he would've been involved with the legal system and wouldn't still be in the industry, especially not withn SM. The fact that other SM artists were still friendly with him publicly also made me feel that he may not be the awful guy that so many portrayed him as. They have a reputation too, so why possibly damage it and their career for someone who has committed some real immoral (and possibly illegal) acts?!!
    Now it looks like SM has decided to repeat their behavior with Seunghan in RIIZE. It's already been over 5 months since he was unjustly put on hiatus and made to apologize (for the 2nd time). I can't believe that SM is not only hurting their artists, but they're cutting off their left arm in the process. I can't understand in what universe they actually believe that they're actually capitalizing in a positive way by severely mismanaging their artists this way. The casualties are large and wide, it's not just the one artist on hiatus. Regardless of which side you're on, everyone can feel the negative impacts of SM's decisions in both of these scenarios. You would hope by now, that they learned their lesson. I'm still holding out for Seunghan's return although it's looking bleaker by the day.

      I feel the same way about this whole situation. The first time I watched the documentary, I noticed the vague explanations that didn’t really give any clarity to anything, but taking a second look at it, I saw even more, and it just made me think to myself, SM is doing a very piss poor job at simply being honest. I think that if they were being honest in that doc you series that the truth would just hurt SM, even more. (Not that many of us don’t know the truth already), that he actually didn’t do anything wrong.
      And also with the Seonghan situation, SM looks like hypocrites. Now that other members are getting lied on by netizens, SM is just now stepping in with taking strong legal action against them…. Where was all this outrage towards netizens when they attacked Seonghan? SM are two faced, cowardly, and hypocritical for doing things like this.

      I'll keep hoping and praying SM starts doing right by these two and other SM artists going forward. I'm safeguarding my sliver of hope for this.

    Ya that's what. They didn't even fight off the accusers legally. They didn't help him clear his name at all. All of it was fake and fabricated. The only mistake he did was post the pic of the privacy invading freak on bubble . That's it . That one thing ruined his career 😢😢😢😭😭 unfair tbh . Poor guy . I totally understand why esem artists are leaving the company. Eg taemin was also not being treated right

    Bruh am i the only one who never fell for the hate train for lucas? only because there just wasn't enough evidence and clarification for me to judge. so for me Lucas is still lucas to me. his 'incident' was never clarified initially and felt haters blew it out of proportion because lets be real, Lucas had haters way before and they finally got their weapon.

    • @moonlight_antonio

      You’re not the only one, I know he didn’t do anything wrong, as did many others who weren’t fooled by the accusations. I think for me, at the beginning when I first watched it I thought 💭 ‘what is he admitting to?’ ‘And why is he admitting to it?’ But when I got no answer, I was a little confused as to why they would go to the trouble of making a documentary and be so vague at the same time.
      After I thought about it and watched it again, I recognized a lot of things that I didn’t notice before, especially the fact that the CEO literally said that the questions he wanted to answer in the docu series was, What is SM going to do with Lucas? And what’s the plan? Which was a dumb thing to say because the documentary existing in and of itself was the answer to those questions??? So duh you’re gonna bring him back.
      Three years and they give us a vague documentary that doesn’t tackle the serious accusations leveled against him??? Other K-pop artists are hanging out with him while he is on hiatus??? Would the company even allow some thing like that to take place if Lucas was such a bad person??? and furthermore, would the company even allow him to stay in the company for this long, knowing all this stuff???
      It didn’t add up to me. So I promise you, you’re not the only one who didn’t fall for the hate train, especially considering I’m telling people constantly to never fall for the hate train and the herd minded people.
      My only mistake was thinking that SM, in that moment, had his back by creating a documentary series for Lucas to open up and talk about what was going on, but that was all in my head.

    I’m just seeing Nephew!! AND YES!! NOW YOU SEE!! OOH & it’s even deeper than that!! Lucas knew the ONLY WAY he would ever be able to live his life ‘publicly’ let alone perform as an idol; was to apologize and do whatever SM SAID. How does one explain or give credence to some far fetched hoax that never happened?? It’s impossible so we’ll never get an answer.. it doesn’t exist (except that it was SM drumming up the rumors in the first place but that’s ’my personal theory). Bottom line is Idols can be the ones gaslit by the ones (SM) doing the true gaslighting! SM ceased an opportunity to literally ’kill’ 2 birds with one stone; 1. CAPITALIZE 💰 and 2. TEACH LUCAS A LESSON FOR WANTING TO DO A SOLO. Yes!! I too seen those punisher punches.. smh 🤦🏽‍♀️ I don’t believe for one second that Lucas wanted to leave NCT nor WAYV.. Lucas simply wanted a solo that SM didn’t want to back for whatever reason. For this reason I am 1000% in that young man’s corner. Now, there’s another thing I’m seeing too but I’ve got to try and catch up with your content. Auntie Rob’s own physical health and peace of mind was being challenged so I stepped away from my PC to realign. Still, I’m always thinking of you ! ❤🫶🏽

      I never would’ve thought that SM created the rumors themselves, but it just might be true. After all these years of being controlling and manipulative, I would put nothing passed them at this point.
      I am really sorry that Lucas had to endure such terrible treatment from the community and online liars who call themselves “fans”.
      And you already know it’s not the same in the moonlight community without you, but more importantly, I’m glad you’re doing better. I love you Auntie, and I’m glad you made (you) the priority. Your mental wellbeing comes first. Mama moonlight and I are sending you love from Bmore 🫶🩵✨

Please give Mama Moonlight my hugs and my love to you both!! You two remind me so much of me & my son (he & my daughter got me into Kpop)! I’m off to ATL becoming a Grandma (again)! ✈️🙏🏽

      Yes! I still agree he was set up by the company and Chris was gaslighting him in that document and saying it’s his fault and he needs to be sorry. Lucas definitely knew he couldn’t move forward in career unless he apologized. Poor thing was literally backed into corner. We talked about this on IG before but I still feel like SM used Lucas as a distraction to cover the fact that kris wu was still signed to SM and he was about to list names of ppl in higher authority that helped him or knew what he was doing. SM was already in enough heat so they used Lucas (another popular Chinese idol) to cover their tracks. They’re helping him recover his imagine because they caused this in one way or another. Ofc everyone else benefited from his scandal as well and he got even more hate

  • @atinyarmy4407
    @atinyarmy4407 2 місяці тому +3

    For a sec I believed it ngl because u never know what kind of person these ppl truly are. But a day after the scandal I was like wait 🤔 looked up the SuperM world tour and realized it matched up with the girls hotel dates and was like wait… I was at the concert and his hair was blue but in the pic the girl posted of him meeting her on that date his hair was blond. Also I remember August 2021 when everyone was talking about kris wu and that same wk kris was suppose to list out a group of names of other immoral entertainers that helped him, all of a sudden Lucas had his “scandal” and all attention was on him. Then I remembered Kris wu was still signed to SM until 2022 😳 I honestly think they caused this whole thing so they could cover their tracks and not make the company look worse having kris connected. I think they threw Lucas out there as a distraction and it backfired and killed his career. They’re helping him recover because they know they’re the cause of it

    Sometimes emotions can cloud logic and reason and we don't see things for what they are until we go back and see it in a reasonable way.
    This is why Kpop stans can't take anything seriously when it is a serious issue because their emotions cloud their judgement. They are not agreeable with anyone and don't want to see the truth because it's a form of fear. The emotion of "fear" clouds everything.
    The thought of losing an idol, the thought of disbandment, the thought of all that appropriation of other cultures, the mistreatment of idols, etc. These are all forms of fear, anger, and abandonment.
    Kpop is a form of escapism and it's detrimental/harmful to many people.

    • @moonlight_antonio
      @moonlight_antonio  2 місяці тому +2

      That is very true. I will say that while I was watching it for the first time, It wasn’t the emotional stuff that I was looking for, it was the information, but I was noticing that they weren’t saying anything of real value concerning what he did or what he was accused of doing so I just felt it at that.
      However, the one thing that grabbed my attention was his description of the mental state he was in during that time and that broke my heart, because while I’m not a Lucas fan in the general sense, I see that he suffered through so much to the point of blaming himself for the whole situation simply by virtue of being alive, and that he wanted to end himself. “I was so sorry, I wanted to die”, those words sent chills through my heart when I heard them.
      Both the company, and the netizens that accused him, are evil people for what they did, not only to Lucas, but to every other K-pop artist who was a victim of false allegations, and I hope they grow a conscious before it’s too late and another artist does something fatal as a result of all of this.

    • @AwakeningWings
      @AwakeningWings 2 місяці тому +2

      @@moonlight_antonio When I saw the video, it felt very vague. It didn't really explain what actually happened to him. Still no one knows what exactly he's apologizing for. Was he apologizing for causing the false allegations? I still don't know why idols need to apologize for something they didn't do, just to appease the toxic fans.
      I didn't think you would look for the emotional part but more of the information. I meant this in general, people let all their emotions get in the way of knowing the truth.
      Yeah, I felt really bad for him when he talked about how it affected him mentally. You can tell he didn't want to talk about that too much.
      This is very true. The false rumors cause so much harm to everyone involved, the idol, their company, the people around them, and actual fans who care about them. It's sad that it never gets resolved and those idols still suffer. And even if it was resolved the damage has been done and it is heartbreaking to see. They don't deserve the hate. I hope this doesn't continue and companies actually do something about it because losing another idol is not an option. It was never an option. I'm also glad now, that idols can leave their companies because before they couldn't and it caused so many problems. Losing a member of Shinee was difficult and that should have been the sign to stop pressuring idols to stay at company when mentally they can't stay in a toxic environment. Or they change and don't want the idol life.

  • @japanesekoreanfan2
    @japanesekoreanfan2 2 місяці тому +3

    What's really sad to me is how bad the company's gotten since Lee Soo Man left. Sure, he wasn't perfect and even under his leadership the company didnt always protect the artists either, but he was always a lot more willing to be personable and interested in his artists as people. I hate all of the decisions this new CEO has made, from removing Lucas from friends/found-family in NCT/WayV, taking Sungchan and Shotaro away from their friends in NCT, and deciding to stop the NCT limitless expansion concept with NCT Wish. Don't get me wrong, I love the Wishies, but only because they themselves are precious hard working babies since they started training at SM, not because this asshole CEO had a hand in picking them. I am just glad that members of EXO, SHINee, and other groups who've already left SM for their solo stuff want to stick around for group stuff. Also, lower level SM staff are great and love working with the guys. The problem is always in the upper levels.

      Also, was it a SM sub-label or something that made Woojin apologize again? We know the company 10X cleared up things but why was he made to apologize again. Was he forced to? Or was it his choice?
      It's weird because he didn't do anything but leave the group. That was it. He was young and didn't realize what he did. Doesn't this sound like part of what Lucas said in his apology? He was young too and thought he knew everything. Although, Woojin didn't say he knew everything.
