- I have seen so many incredible musicians - including singers - from the Philippines. This young lad y was suggested to me by one of our members on Discord, so I checked her out.
After spending some time looking through some of her stuff online, I found this beautiful duet cover she did along with Daryl One, who looks like he's also got a huge following in the Philippines.
They reason I liked this cover is that both these singers have beautiful skill. I think they did a great cover of the song, and - it's live!

Yes its live! Gigi and the Vibes do a 2 hour session every week where Gigi gets requests. As has been said, check out "Fly me to the Moon", which is in a Jazz style. Gigi is known as "The Queen of Covers" in the Philippines.
I also request that you do GIGIdeLana and the GiGiVibes, especially "Fly Me To The Moon" , but you can't go wrong with any selection of GiGi and her band - so versatile in their genres.

Gig is my favorite artist today. Her tone is truly something else. Reminds me so much of the late Karen Carpenter.
Great vocal analysis. You are spot on about vocal muscle memory. Both great artists with different styles but sound so good together. You're going to have a blast with Gigi's BETTER DAYS (cover of Diane Reeves). She plays with different techniques with her voice here. Its a good video for a vocal master class. She can do any genre, pop, jazz, rock, goth, alternative rock, etc. Shes a chameleon. Also check out her ALL I ASK (Adele). Yes they are a close-knit band, they've been together 10 yrs singing for parties & weddings. Their UA-cam channel blew up about 2 yrs ago, so now she has gained some popularity in the Philippines.

Actually, both Filipino and English are the national language of the Philippines.
English a second language as administrative language not a National language.
@@marierocher4422 google it or visit the Philippines because you seem to have not have the experience. You will see that english is in everyday encounter. It may not be spoken in straight English in casual conversations but you will see it everywhere in signs and media. People converse in code-switching of Filipino and English in the form most commonly known as Taglish.
English is Philippines’ second language and I believe Spanish is second. It’s a pet peeve of mine when people make assumptions that people in Asia would have a hard time speaking or pronouncing English. That comment really turned me off from your videos.
Maybe not for Filipinos but for other parts of Asia. It should not be a problem if mentioning poor diction or pronunciation is RELEVANT to the review or the critique. Of course if it was gratuitous (has no bearing to the discussion) then it is understandable to be turned off by such comments. Diction is part of vocal technique and if you have problems articulating the words clearly then you are missing an element of vocal skills. This does not apply to Asians only. It applies to EVERYBODY!

The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world that videos of pitch corrupted performances are live.
