Love your videos 👌 Which city do you like best on the Costa Blanca ? We are looking for a house, but do not know where we want to live. I like Altea, Javea and Calpe.
Hello Ann, firstly thank you watching my videos. Secondly I hope you have subscribed to my UA-cam channel and joined our community. Which town would I recommend, Calpe has lots of high rise apartments and hotels and it’s very popular, great beaches. Altea had beautiful beaches but are stoney, the old town is beautiful. I think it’s expensive on the property front. Javea is very British with a lot of ex pats, beach is lovely, lots of restaurants, I would pick Javea. I really hope this helps, I am in my 12th year now and love it here. Barry
@@AllAboutSpainbyBarryHaylor I have subscrive 👌 Thanks for your answers. I like Javea a lot, and hope we find a house there in about 2 years. Continues to follow you, likes when you tell about the places you show
Great video Barry! Question, in that region do locals openly speak Castellano or more the Valencian dialect? I ask just because I only understand Castellano & was wondering about getting around there. Thank you for your help!
Both dialects are used plus lots of English, but you will find that out as you move around. Myself I do not speak Spanish only bits. Great question thank you. I hope you are subscribed. Barry
My parents had built a house in Calpe when it was still a fishing village, in the 1970s. Sadly, it no longer resembles the old Calpe. Too many tourists and when my parents left and sold the house on the hill (one of the first in Calpe from non Spaniards) too much corruption with EU money. I never went back.
Some call it Calp as well, but it’s still Calpe to me. You must remember accents as well. Thanks for the comment, I hope you have subscribed to my channel and joined our community.
