Guided Missiles and Bombs in Kerbal Space Program (Stock Parts)

- Just a quick video to showcase three weapons I created in Kerbal Space Program: Air-to-Air Missiles, a Surface-to-Air Missile, and Guided Bombs. The aircraft I used was a Panavia Tornado replica.
This is all using stock parts in KSP 1.12 with the Breaking Ground DLC (I also have Making History but I'm not sure if any parts from that DLC were used) so if you want any craft files please leave a comment saying which ones you want and I can create a link to download them with instructions on how to use them like I did in the video. You will need the Physics Range Extender mod to be able to switch vessels in the atmosphere. - Ігри

the SAM seems more like an Aerial Battering ram than a Missile because it looked like it stayed together for the most part. honestly seems a LOT more effective given KSPs damage models.
I temember i had made an intercontinental missile in the same style as the surface to air missile. I successfully creashed into the desert pyramids, right before the desert runway. But i had anough fuel to go further.

Very good video, I made a drone with guidable bombs but this is a huge step up.

Make a first stage recoverable rocket and kamikaze the first stage.
Can you make all of them workshop items? There isn't really anywhere else to go for this kinda stuff

Use motor (dont take mine cus i dont play it)

dont. the motors make the wing wobbly and useless,any robotic part also does.@@br80a31
How did you switch vessels from a plane to the ground missile launcher? I never could do it, it says can't switch vessels mid flight
I was using a mod which bypasses this, I believe it was Physics Range Extender.

what probe core did you use? Cause I made a bigger one with an srb kinda like russian missiles and it can barely turn.
On the surface-to-air missile I used the RC-001S core along with the Advanced Inline Stabiliser and Z-1k battery. Other than that most of the actual turning force comes from the fins on the side

@@zulu1 physics range extender breaks my game sometimes, i sometimes become a flag going light speed

what fuel tanks did you use for the air to air missile
Those are Oscar-B Fuel Tanks

@@tybergt5879 I believe they are Twitch engines but I can't be 100% sure because I don't have KSP installed right now
Does swept wings really increase the speed?
I don't think it has a huge effect, they're mainly just to make the plane more accurate to the real Tornado.
whats the capsule on the rockets?
The air-to-air missiles are controlled by the OCTO2 probe core

Do you mean the vessel labels? They can be enabled in the general settings under "gameplay"

how do you set target
If you have vessel labels turned on in the settings you should just be able to click on the box around the other vessel to set it as target

The parts are stock, but i used some visual mods and Physics Range Extender to switch vessels in the atmosphere
how did u get the sweep wings to not wobble and fly off?
These wings are small so they shouldn't wobble too much without extra backup but all I can suggest is to autostrut the wing surfaces to the rotation servo (or use regular struts between the rotating end of the servo and the wing surface) and add struts between the static end of the servo and the fuselage if possible. Autostrutting the servo to the fuselage usually locks rotation and rigid attachment will probably cause the wing to snap off more easily.
@@zulu1 ok but why is it that whenever i put a rotor, it must have autostrut on cuz whenever i dont enable autostrut, it falls off at launch
