I knew Chris since we were kids and lived in the same neighborhood. Went to jr high and high school together, would talk while taking the bus to/from school and my mom worked for his mother for several years in their home. He was always a great kid, very polite and was a remarkable student. It was a shock to hear how he passed, but considering how some of our fellow students at Santa Clara High ended up, it wasn't such a unique downward spiral. Rest in Peace, Brother!

What’s really even more sad is the way Chris Burrous lived his life behind closed doors being a drug addict. The cause of his death made a huge embarrassment on his family. Chris had a great education, a great career in news broadcasting wearing a suit and tie everyday and he was very good looking, his co-workers and friends all seem to love him and respect him as well. He had high blood pressure that also contributed to his death. It’s such a terrible shame.

My heart goes out to their families and everyone at KTLA may you all find peace and comfort during this difficult time and you are in my prayers very sad day indeed.💔⚘

I really wanted to go & give him a big hug as I love the entire team on KTLA morning news. My husband said let the poor guy enjoy his food but it was so nice watching him his beautiful smile. Such a great person, an honest, simple young man who would've been a great roll model for Isabella, his positive view of life & all the people he interviewed, not just reporting but so deeply caring toward everyone. We lost one of the angels. May he rest in peace & our condolences to his family.

He was always a great kid, very polite and was a remarkable student. It was a shock to hear how he passed, but considering how some of our fellow students at Santa Clara High ended up, it wasn't such a unique downward spiral. Rest in Peace, Brother!
Thank you Mr Burrous, you made my weekend morning great, my heart goes to his family
He once was and always shall be everyone's favorite weekend anchor. And I will always remember meeting him at the salvation army back in August 2017 right by my school. I Will also miss his bites segments 🍕🌮🌭

I can't believe that he is gone, just seeing him on the news the other day. I too feel like I lost someone in my family. My heart is heavy. Prayers for his family and friends. Such a loss.....
If his consciousness was transferred into another realm, I'm sure he would be comforted to know he still has many adoring fans that does not judge him.
I loved Chris Burrows. I'm still crying cause I miss him. He was my friend.
I remember hearing the news for the first time and I have to say I was truly shocked….my mind couldn’t process it….
So sorry for your loss. Loved watching Chris, he was so fun to watch.
I generally don't watch the morning news on weekends, but I did because of Chris. He was my favorite. He seemed so down to earth and really connected with his audience. RIP Chris. You will be truly missed.
Blessings to those strong, courageous KTLA staffers who so graciously brought this mornings' sad news. Your care and tenderness helped us through this with grace. You are all amazing.
Everyday in the morning it was always the best to watch KTLA.The best of Chris Burrous was Burrous Bites and it won’t be the same anymore since he brought fun at work with the crew and cast in the news station for years. Rest In Peace Chris Burrous, you will be missed by many in SoCal

Thank you for sharing this on UA-cam. I was unable to watch the Live and my heart is completely broken. We have lost a fabulous person. I really want to believe that the future findings will come up as accidental.
This is so sad, we met Chris once and he was just the nicest person...
Our condolences to his family
I loved his sarcasm he did it well he was a cocky but sweet guy he also noticed when someone was feeling bad so he stopped but he was a nice man i never met him but he was nice
We all have to leave but we dont know when.
Spot on. I have visited 3 of the places he mentioned on Burrous' Bites, and he was right. His sarcasm was done with class. I cannt imagine what Lynette and Liberté would manage NOT to cry during the show.YOU ARE BEING MISSED CHRIS.
RIP from the UK. Thoughts are with his parents, his daughter and his wife. Not forgetting coworkers. He obviously loved what he did and was so good at it. Pioneer yes. Beautiful tributes. ❤❤❤😢❤❤❤

Rest In peace Chris Burrous. Addiction is a real struggle and I’m sorry you had dealt with it for a while. Condolences to your wife and daughter.
Its so unfortunate that people still fail to realize that even the individuals that put on the most happiest face are usually the people who don’t really have it in them but they radiate it out to everyone else to avoid the suspicion of their genuine feelings or emotions :( Its clear that his happiness mostly came from making everyone else happy when he probably wasn’t himself...

oh my, am crying just seeing this...I turn to KTLA 5 to just see him and his fun humor n facial expressions and Burroughs bites. My heart feels for his wife n daughter. I just saw his visit to Hawaii w/ them. So warm and friendly. I will miss him, his awesomeness. May he soar in the universe with beautiful energy.
There was something special about watching him on TV, such a pleasant personality, I couldn’t believe it when I heard the awful news, my deepest condolences to his family as well as to the KTLA family.
May he Rest In Peace.
Rest in Peace Chris. Im truly saddened i feel like ive lost someone close to me. I loved watching Chris Saturday mornings while drinking my coffee hearing his laugh and jokes
I haven't cried in a long time. Dang, I feel like I lost a family member. The morning show won't be the same, im sorry.
WOW!!! I have watched the morning show for almost 20yrs. I felt I was family many as these anchors have come and gone. Like everyone said he was a spirt that no one could deny. He did help me stay awake during those ungodly hours. Working in the medical field you work any hour. I can honestly say he was genuine guy
I met him last year at my job when he was reporting there. He and the crew where hilarious off camera and he was even more on air. You will be sorely missed but, he will be up there with the big man making him laugh with tears as he did for all of us for many year's! We will miss R.I.P😢
It’s such a terrible shame.
like Robert Reed.
No one knew Mike Brady when he wasn't Mike Brady
WOW! First Jessica Starr and now Chris Burrous so sorry to hear this and so sad to see some of these news personalities losing their lives. My heart goes out to their families and everyone at KTLA may you all find peace and comfort during this difficult time and you are in my prayers very sad day indeed.💔⚘
He was such a great funny anchor on 5 RIP :( one of a good kind..
So sadden. When I was little I would always wake up early to watch KTLA with my father before going to school and on the weekends. It makes me even more sad because we lost an amazing news anchor such a humble guy and sweet guy. Rest in Peace. I lost my father in July and now he gets to see Chris up in heaven.
Chris you were the best ever for my morning news early morning before I go to work and made me feel great, God bless you and your family and ktla family, my coffee will be sour without you but I know your in a better place now. R.I.P CHRIS BURROUS WE WILL MISS YOU SO MUCH..
Me & my along with our little grandson went to Costco in Pacoima to buy a few things. My grandson loves the pizza at Costco so I took him to the food area got him & my husband a slice of pizza. While my grandson was eating I noticed Chris with his wife enjoying their pizza. I heard him say Costco has the best pizza.

Rip Chris Burros 😭Condolences to his family. My favorite person 😭😭
Edit: Its Saturday where i am and watching Ktla without Chris is just weird to me. My favorite part of this new channel on the weekend is the 8:38 stretch 😭😭😭😭
My deepest condolences to his family and specially to the KTLA staff. I am so sad, he always brought a smile to my face. He is unique and we were lucky to have known him, I as a viewer and you guys as a friend.
Sorry for your loss. Have watched you all grow and have watched KTLA in 3 countries since 1980 before morning shows and cnn. 🖤
Chris will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to his family, including his KTLA family.
Rest in peace I used to watch Chris on cbs13 and good day Sacramento when I was way younger . Man it's such a loss
WHen I woke Friday and turned on the internet and saw the news of Chris passing, first I thought that it was a bad joke. Then at 4 a..m. I turned on the news and found it was true. I must say it just devastated me. I absolutely love watching the news with he and Lynette and Liberte. It was always the highlight of my weekend. It broke my heart. He was so young and always seemed to be happy. I tell you, watching the news can be devastating in itself but those three made it so much fun to watch. I Watched this morning and cried the whole 5 hours. You ladies are amazing and God blessed you with His strength to do what you did today. My prayers will go out to all of you at KTLA and to Chris family. You are all so loved, you have all touched many lives. Please continue on and I will keep watching. Love to you all.
So sad. I've been a fan of KTLA for a long time, it's always been been amazing and Chris was one of the best. RIP Chris and heartfelt condolences to all who loved him.
So sad for the family. To find out this guy wasn’t quite what everyone though he was and the unexpectedness has to be really hard. (Not trying to slam the guy, but let’s face facts.)
What a horrific and embarrassing way for a wife to find out the way he killed himself.
My heart is broken.💔 This news of his passing has left me in complete shock. He left us way too soon. My deepest condolences to his little girl, his wife, his family, and the KTLA news team. This is a terrible loss. Let's be careful with our own journeys in life. Time is a gift. We can spend time and we can give time but we can not get extra time on this planet. Make good choices.
Unbelievable. You touched so many hearts and brought so many smiles to this world, I know you will continue to do so in the next world... Miss you already.
Wow I can’t believe two great anchors from KTLA have passed. Rip Chris and Rip Sam
my thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family
Can’t take away from his career but now his wife and daughter have to deal with his fatal mistake. They are left to figure out what he was doing in that hotel room, with whom and why. That is so not fair.
Yes indeed my god he was living a double life 43 damn
That’s what addict do.
@@davanmani556 yes indeed I'm dealing with one now they have a good loving family children that loves them but the addiction is powerful they lies they give out fake love fake story telling along with fake tears it's sad he was living a double life his wife and daughter will never be the same again I know his wife is shaking her head like wtf was goin on wat was he doin this man was beloved by so many people so many that never met him but fell in love with him through their tv addiction is horrible it hurts the ones who love them dearly it's sad he lost his life at 43 that person in the hotel room was either his dealer or someone he do wat he do with it's heart breaking he forever change his family life
He made a Mistake! (nobody's perfect). I'm positive his wife knows what he was doing!
By now his wife has the full story of what happened. The police are obligated to tell her.
I met him at the Apple store I worked at and each time he came in, we took the 5 photo. I am. just now finding this out. Prayers to his family.
This just randomly popped up on my feed and I was shocked! He was my favorite when he was here in Sacramento. My condolences to his family and friends.
Good anchor delivered news with neutral. Enjoyed his show on Sat. will miss him.
Truly very sad. I'm heartbroken to hear this. My deepest condolences to the Burrous family and to the KTLA family. I'm going to miss seeing him for the 8:38 stretch. A truly tragic event.
He was on the local news here in Bakersfield. Our community grieves with yours and his wife and child. RIP
I’m so saddened by his loss one of a kind anchor so much charisma. I’m going to miss you Chris Burrous you impacted so many lives. 💔😔
Shocking and sad. I know him from Good Day Sacramento. Just turned it on and this was the first story. I liked his humor, kinda sarcastic and offbeat. My condolences to his family and his work family.
He had it all, good job wife & lovely daughter.he was greedy putting his own foolish pleasure above them.i have a hard time with how he put himself before his family.ktla makes him sound like a great dad & man.
Chris whatever demons you were dealing with you surely was a welcomed edition to my home. I pray you find peace in the hereafter from what you couldn’t find here.
RIP Burrous
Can only watch weekends and you made it fun
Your low key jokes and zings were the best.

Tom Tobin ... speak for yourself loco 👹
My condolences to the family, this comes as such a shock, I admired how silly he was, this teaches me to absorb life, live, love, laugh because we never know when our time will be. RIP
Well said
I watched this guy every weekend morning for many years. The ktla morning team has always made me laugh and enjoy myself. Such a tragedy. RIP CHRIS
Holding back some tear's. There are some people on tv that just makes life a lot better.
He was my favorite news anchor. He would make me laugh so hard. Burrous Bites was fun to watch. I will miss his smile and laughter!! My prayers are with his wife and daughter!!!
This comes as quite a shock, for a beloved TV news anchor that was so full of life to leave this world so suddenly, and at such a young age of 43, and leaves behind friends and family, co-workers, and countless fans. Burrous had the opportunity to work in 2 of the largest TV markets in the country, and may have even had offers for the networks and newsmagazine shows. May he rest in peace.
From Ohio KTLA . I watch your news on UA-cam God bless you and we morn your loss too .
Wow...I can't believe it:( i enjoyed watching him every morning on ktla 5. Very sad hearing this. Enjoyed his presents on our TVs every morning & weekends. Prays to his Family.
