    I met Chris in Lomita while he was covering a story. I was watching the news and learned that he was not to far from where I lived. I found him sitting in his car, walked up to his window and called him out. He quickly opened his car door and stepped out to greet me. I told him who I was and asked him to do a segment on Burrous Bites about the Pacific Dinner who serves an amazing breakfast and Busy Bee Market who makes the best sandwiches I've ever tasted. After doing so he asked if I would take a selfie with him while holding up our hands in support for channel 5 news. We did and I loved it. Great Guy. Here's to you Chris, a loving, caring, charming and real person. May God bless your soul and may you rest in peace. High 5.

Went to jr high and high school together, would talk while taking the bus to/from school and my mom worked for his mother for several years in their home. He was always a great kid, very polite and was a remarkable student. It was a shock to hear how he passed, but considering how some of our fellow students at Santa Clara High ended up, it wasn't such a unique downward spiral. Rest in Peace, Brother!

    Its so unfortunate that people still fail to realize that even the individuals that put on the most happiest face are usually the people who don’t really have it in them but they radiate it out to everyone else to avoid the suspicion of their genuine feelings or emotions :( Its clear that his happiness mostly came from making everyone else happy when he probably wasn’t himself...

He did help me stay awake during those ungodly hours. Working in the medical field you work any hour. I can honestly say he was genuine guy
      I met him last year at my job when he was reporting there. He and the crew where hilarious off camera and he was even more on air. You will be sorely missed but, he will be up there with the big man making him laugh with tears as he did for all of us for many year's! We will miss R.I.P😢

    What’s really even more sad is the way Chris Burrous lived his life behind closed doors being a drug addict. The cause of his death made a huge embarrassment on his family. Chris had a great education, a great career in news broadcasting wearing a suit and tie everyday and he was very good looking, his co-workers and friends all seem to love him and respect him as well. He had high blood pressure that also contributed to his death. It’s such a terrible shame.

    Me & my along with our little grandson went to Costco in Pacoima to buy a few things. My grandson loves the pizza at Costco so I took him to the food area got him & my husband a slice of pizza. While my grandson was eating I noticed Chris with his wife enjoying their pizza. I heard him say Costco has the best pizza. I really wanted to go & give him a big hug as I love the entire team on KTLA morning news. My husband said let the poor guy enjoy his food but it was so nice watching him his beautiful smile. Such a great person, an honest, simple young man who would've been a great roll model for Isabella, his positive view of life & all the people he interviewed, not just reporting but so deeply caring toward everyone. We lost one of the angels. May he rest in peace & our condolences to his family.

      What matters to God is :
      1. What WE are as Christians is more important than what we DO;
      2. Our GODLINESS is more important than our giftedness;
      3. What we are before God takes PRECEDENCE of what we are before men;
      4. Our private life takes PRIORITY over our public life.
      5. How we LIVE is more important than how we serve.
      6. Our WALK with God is more important than our work for God.
      7. The size of our HEARTS is more important than the size of our Church.

    WHen I woke Friday and turned on the internet and saw the news of Chris passing, first I thought that it was a bad joke. Then at 4 a..m. I turned on the news and found it was true. I must say it just devastated me. I absolutely love watching the news with he and Lynette and Liberte. It was always the highlight of my weekend. It broke my heart. He was so young and always seemed to be happy. I tell you, watching the news can be devastating in itself but those three made it so much fun to watch. I Watched this morning and cried the whole 5 hours. You ladies are amazing and God blessed you with His strength to do what you did today. My prayers will go out to all of you at KTLA and to Chris family. You are all so loved, you have all touched many lives. Please continue on and I will keep watching. Love to you all.
