I don’t have a sewing machine and this would be my first time with fabric collage, could I thread paint by hand? Thank you for your videos they are very helpful, I have been looking at your kits but just worried because I don’t have a sewing machine. Many thanks.
I have a photograph I would like to make into a collage. If I trace it out on parchment, it will have pencil lead on it. Do I work directly on the traced parchment paper? I do not want it to be reversed, so working on the back won’t work. I appreciate your input. I’ve enjoyed watching your tutorials.
@@corinnehowland3349 Hi Corine, best way to do this is to use a light box or the window, trace your picture onto normal paper then enhance those lines with a black marker pen and then put your parchment paper over the top. You can work on the top of the parchment with no lines. If you struggle with that we make bespoke patterns so could do it for you. If you are a Facebook member come and join our group we have all sorts of tips, and I answer all the questions put to me on there. www.moofacedesigns.co.uk/bespoke-patterns.html#/ facebook.com/share/g/qcjzN5vjbWzGTJjY/?mibextid=K35XfP
Hi Dawn, You can do fabric collage without finishing with threadpainting especially if you are just going to hang your quilt or stretch over canvas. In my opinion threadpainting finishes it off (but it is ONLY my opinion) I know of other artists who don’t threadpaint. It would be lovely to embellish your quilt with whatever you would like, sequins, beads and including ‘slow stitching’. You can do anything you want😊 It is your artwork, just have fun! 🤩 If you purchase the pattern do post on our Facebook group, we’d love to see facebook.com/share/g/w6ESxVFpoZERhdDX/?mibextid=K35XfP
