I think headshots is the key. I use muzzle booster and heavy barrel (cleaner faction) which does enough dmg. I feel its a fun weapon to use.

m44 is an upper chest and up sniper only. Keep mind this is without attachments. You can get one shots for the most part just depends; if you are sniping shield users that have 120 hp vs the regular 100hp.

You are aiming low, the times you do hitmarker it's because you hit stomach or lower
