- Anthony Mason joins singer Rosanne Cash, daughter of music legend Johnny Cash, on a road trip down South, exploring the landscape that helped shape the songs in her new album, "The River & The Thread." They also visit the boyhood home of her father, and the bridge made famous in the song, "Ode to Billie Joe."

Very moving story
The wealth of the south and the tales recounted by parents who once traveled the roads of Arkansas and Mississippi are unforgettable. My father recounted the hardships he endured as a black child in Mississippi, but he also shared stories of joy, laughter, and fun. I understand this woman's feelings. I do not know where in Africa my progenitors are from, but my love for America and even greater love for the south makes me proud. Wonderful video; keep up the excellent work.
There's always a time and place in our heart that we call home, that calls more and more to us as we become older. Sometimes it's a melancholy place, where nobody you knew remains, they've passed on into family history, and few, or only you, remain to remember those days.
Love this where Roseanne revisits her journey this time with more feeling.

No, not 5 bedrooms - if you listen carefully Rosanne explained there were 5 rooms in total! And if you look at the video you can see that the rooms were small - there were 7 children and 2 adults who lived there. Definitely not a mansion - Johnny Cash and his parents and siblings had a very hard life growing up.

I was kinda let down by her, in the "My Darling Vivian" video. She put down her Father quite a bit. I did a search on who Johnny Cash left his inheritance to. All of the daughters inherited one million dollars. John Carter Cash inherited the rest, which was a great deal more. I guess a million dollar inheritance and his child support, wasn't good enough for her. I wish I had it so rough.
Her dad left her mom and never really did anything for her. He allowed June to treat her mom badly. So yea
