Definitely Loot Goose over Frugal Goose. "Frugal" just reminds me that I SHOULD be frugal and not buy gaming stuff I don't need, and the last thing you want is to have the name of the store discourage people from making impulse purchasing decisions :)
Speaking as a foreigner, "frugal goose" reminds me of a particular brand of imported fruit-flavoured breakfast food-stuff typically served with milk. Or an exotic fruit drink. I'm perfectly aware that's not what it means, but I still can't get the association out of my head. I hear "frugal goose" and I smell fruits and berries. Just so you know.

A few things for your delivery department to think about: Why are you delivering with a large trailer in residential neighborhoods? You should use a box truck. I see you have them. Box trucks are much easier for (inexperienced) delivery drivers to navigate corners and turn around in tighter spaces; they drive more like a car (which is why most delivery companies use them, i.e. Macy's and other furniture delivery companies, even UPS, Fed Ex, etc.). What happens if your driver gets sick or injured making a delivery? Anyone cannot just step into a trailer and continue the route. Larger trailers should be used with delivery to furniture companies (where they have a dock) or pick up items from a large building. The biggest problem with a box truck is its height; thus, large tree limbs can strike the canopy and damage the cap. A driver needs to be aware of the size of the truck and surroundings, be ready to steer towards the center of the road to avoid hitting tree limbs (since other box trucks travel along these roads, they are mostly cleared out). Scrapes ARE going to occur along the side of the box with any big rig and that is going to happen in residential areas. One last thing. Have you purchased licenses/permits to deliver in most cities? I know that in the South that many small cities require a city permit to deliver within their limits. Be aware, you could get caught and cited for delivering without a permit in some towns.
I think Loot Goose is better than Frugal Goose, though honestly I'm not find of either. If it's a part of the Wyrmwood brand then the branding should reflect that in the name somehow. My suggestion, Wyrm's Horde.
Hoard, then, because Horde will have every dead English teacher on the globe roll in their grave until the combined centrifugal force dislodges the earth's crust
I’m glad Big Mama Ted and Ryan made it ok even with the trucking issues and incredibly expensive shrub damage. I hope you guys can find some great experienced people to add to your team so Wyrmwood shipping can be successful.
Not sure I agree @2ks4. Almost all the wyrmlyfe content isn't silly/goofy other than editing tone. The actual content is behind the scenes look at things. Yeah they joke around but that seems more like a glimpse into who the people behind the vaunted Wyrmwood name are and not a comment or impact on the brand. The only real exceptions I can think of are the couple recent episodes with crazy Ed (whom I do enjoy) with explosions and destroying things which did seem a little off.
I agree. I think that Wyrm Lyfe often has a light, breezy tone that works well for a show that is supposed to be entertaining at the end of the day. But I think that the company itself has a sincerity and professionalism to it that makes randomly absurd branding a bit baffling.
If you're really into the goose, I'd go with Loot Goose, but it does seem way out of left field, unless it's not meant to be associated with WW at all.
If I had to choose between the two, then definitely Loot Goose. My question is, why have the goose in the first place? I dont see the connection to WyrmWood.
This is a professional writer person here. "Frugal" means someone who searches out good deals for quality, lives inexpensively, wastes not. The kind of person who, if they bought one of your tables, would do so because of the good price, high quality, and multiple use modes. (They would not buy the screen because that tech changes too fast.) So, a frugal goose would NOT wear a top hat and a monocle, because those are silly signals of status. A frugal goose would wear a good quality Harris tweed jacket, probably inherited from a parent, because those things last for generations. A Loot Goose, OTOH, is going to break down the door, take your stuff, and probably knock over a shrubbery on the way out. Both birds are bad new for you. Frugal will probably spend more with you in the long run, if you continue making quality stuff, but it will be a long run. Loot will, well, move fast and break things, then complain about it. Think of better animals.
Wtf? What does goose have anything to do with the wyrmwood brand? There were much better ideas in the comment section of the video where you guys first talked about this.
I feel like the motto of this first section of this video about the name is "the best way to get the right answer on the internet is not to ask a question; it's to post the wrong answer"... Any name with a goose is wrong and here we are - a busy beehive buzzing better names.
As the son of two Truck Drivers, I can tell you, you gotta be tough as hell to do that job. There is a reason truckers make good money. It's an industry that does not get nearly enough credit for what it does.
Some thoughts 1) Hire a truck driver and send someone with him OR 2) Buy/rent the trailer(s) load them and lock them. Then hire a truck driver to take the trailer to it's destination and have the guys meet the truck and unload/deliver the product. If the trailer is rented then you are done. If you own it then the driver returns it to you. You could develop a group of independent truckers to support the venture.
Frugal can be used as a derogatory term depending on context and where in the world you are. Loot is common enough that 99/100 people who have played games will get it.
Loot goose is the most idiotic thing I've ever heard, Frugal Goose is even worse, that's my .02 Also there were some way better and amazing suggestions by Wyrmlings in the comments on previous videos.

The guys did a fantastic job on my delivery. After hearing about their precious delivery that day, I think they were VERY happy my table simply went right inside the front door. No stairs involved. It was fun talking with them as they put it all together. Incredibly happy with the quality of the table. No shrubbery was harmed either!
Where's the goose coming from? I thought it'd be something simple like Wyrm Loot or Lootwyrm or, you know, something wyrmy. Having said that, top hat, frugal güse and "buy our shit" as a slogan is a winning combo.
Loot Goose reminds me too much of Loot Crate - they went bankrupt b/c they kept their prices low by selling absolute junk in their subscriptions. I'd hate to make that connection when i'm looking through your new shop. Not saying "frugal goose" is any better, sounds super awkward, but still better than sounding like a crap company that's already gone under once.

Great content. I like the feel up in Pa. Now by watching the training video that was my first clue to failure. My brother drives trucks and he loves it. He's in Texas so I'll pass this video on to him and see if he contacts you.
I think its less the damage caused to the trailer and more the toll of being on the road non-stop for days on end. Reducing trailer and property damage would come with time...but being mostly alone on the road non-stop isnt something everyone can do regardless of training
Also, it isn't just the driving, it's the stress of having to deal with a large vehicle on roads not designed for that vehicle. I can remember driving to Sydney once in my dad's Mazda BT-50. It's not the biggest ute, but it is big. Going from open Highway to the tight City driving got me so stressed out, my dad had to take over driving for the rest of our holiday in Sydney. And we didn't have a big honking trailer on the back.
@@lordmordor4805 I'm just getting the impression that these guys have no prior experience and they were just thrown into this because they thought they might like it. That previous video of them backing the truck up at Keystone was such an omen of what was to come. The videos are entertaining and funny at times but stuff like this makes the company look irresponsible. These mistakes should be figured out in a driving school in a massive parking lot with rubber cones on the ground and other easily reusable obstructions to simulate buildings, docks and imported shrubbery :D
Loot Goose. Edit: Discord mentioned adding The to the name, for example The Looting Goose or The Frugal Goose. I think it sounds pretty neat! Credit SMP and WaffleKing
Please make a call out to hire truck drivers with minimum 2 years experience. Truck drivers always look ahead before they turn. All the damage could've been avoided that way without a loss in time. Also if you are doing coast to coast it might be good to get a small warehouse space on the west coast to help with deliveries.
It's so good to see more of you, Bobby. Doug's not wrong... you are the special sauce. Editing is on-point in this vid. Oh, and eeeeeveryone is right... the goose thing is weird.
Loot Goose? What the heck? How does that have anything to do with the original Wyrmwood branding? I would not think that this would be associated at all with Wyrmwood and probably wouldn't buy anything from it if I didn't know it was associated.
The whole Goose naming seems like they plan to completely disassociate that line from Wyrmwood instead of posing it as Wyrmwood's budget line. Maybe it's targeted mostly at people who don't know Wyrmwood and therefore they don't feel the need to make that connection, but I feel like if these will be good quality items they'll still be more expensive than competitor's lower quality items in which case you would want the Wyrmwood connection to instill confidence in paying a little extra.
• Bobby & Matt, love the opening montage of seeing the workshop and craftsmen back again. • LOL. You watch Wyrmlyfe, you learn about Mennonites. 😂 (Hilarious how Doug seems to be teleporting between MA and PA now) • Wait... why does it have to be 'goose' in the first place? It just sounds disconnected with everything else you're doing. I say go with Loot Goose if you absolutely must but I would seriously suggest brainstorming something a bit more.... on-brand. Like WyrmLair, WyrmLoot, or Wyrm-something.
1: Loot Goose 2: Stage the trailer on your deliveries. Pull the trailer with a truck or van that can hold your largest table. Arrange for nearby temporary storage at a parking lot, preferably close to your interstate exit, take the one or two tables that you are delivering into the truck bed, and deliver them with just the truck, not the trailer.
I can't associate "goose" in any way back to Wyrmwood. I could see When Shop or Wyrm Lair or Wyrmwood Loot, but I think you lose a bit of your brand recognition by tossing a goose in there. I do always love seeing behind the scenes product naming conversations though xD
I like that you have a discord for team comms. Also, getting on the road and delivering to customers is a useful way of taking a break from the shop and spreading the load. Fwiw, I'd hire a dedicated driver that's likeable and have your team that wants to travel and earn a little more bank take turns being the drivers assistant / labourer.
Holy crap, was that "Save dat Money" because it would be the perfect light background subtle intro to the Frugal Geuse website. You guys need to reach out to Lil Dicky for a spot on all of this SAVINGS of gaming stuff.
I've never done any sort of shipping like this, but does it make sense to send a second truck with this big rig? That way once they get to town, they can move the table to some sort of cube truck, which would be way easier to get in to residential areas. I guess you'd have to weigh the extra gas cost against potential damage, and time saved.
I know I'm WAAAY behind, but I like Loot Goose. It has assonance. Which, so you don't have to look it up, is: Assonance: Resemblance of sound, especially of the vowel sounds in words; the repetition of identical or similar vowel sounds, especially in stressed syllables, with changes in the intervening consonants.
I feel your guys pain. Trucking is not easy. People don't realize it's more physically demanding beyond the normal work drive. Plus you have HOS regulations to follow if your above 10,001 Lbs. You could try a fine art shipping company. I work for one and all we do white glove everything. Install, pack, ship, you name it. I've delivered to Christie's auction house, the Smithsonian, countless museums, and galleries. What trucks are you using? A straight truck is immensely easier than a trailer for backing up, cornering, and the turning radius is better. Ryder does lease contracts. You pay them and you get the truck, fuel at any of their service centers (there is atleast one in every major city) and they'll handle maintenance.
Agreeing with the comments regarding confusion of the "goose" branding.. Seems tied to an already dated period where Untitled Goose Game was all the rage.. and any branding logo is just going to mirror that dated reference. That, and goose figures people dress up outside their house. "Loot Goose" sounds better, but harkens back to Loot Crate.. which I already associate with Hot Topic and Target's repackaged leftovers. Using confusing marketing names certainly is one strategy, considering the "Wii" banked on the very concept. Personal opinion to tie the name back to Wyrmwood somehow.. 'Ling Loot, Wyrmling Wares, Crazy Ed's Explosive Emporium of Exotic Equipment... something...
Definitely Loot Goose over Frugal Goose. "Frugal" just reminds me that I SHOULD be frugal and not buy gaming stuff I don't need, and the last thing you want is to have the name of the store discourage people from making impulse purchasing decisions :)
Agree with this. Loot reminds me of a shopping haul, etc. Frugal tells me to stop spending my money.

To not use "loot goose" would be a honking mistake.
them: discussing whether frugal or loot makes more sense and is more topical
me: why the hell is it a goose?
Loot Goose. Edit: Discord mentioned adding The to the name, for example The Looting Goose or The Frugal Goose. I think it sounds pretty neat! Credit SMP and WaffleKing
Not feelin' the goose... that goose logo was amateur looking, not Wyrmwood quality
0:44 straight up thought that guy was rubbin down a block of wood with a hamburger.
Loosey goosey- its all dumb- brainstorm a better name
The King, has returned... glad to see you guys record some Ian again!
great episode best in last 3 for sure 👍 loved hearing about the truck stuff.
Editing on this was top notch frugal goose material
definatly anything over something goose, what does a goose have to do with wyrms, wood, or wyrmwood?
The most entertaining thing in this video is that you guys are taking those names seriously.
I'm with Jason - we Jasons are never wrong.
"Indubitable" Best Word!
Bravo for dropping Lil Dicky in there
Is it just me or is the editing just getting better and better? Guys great job. Also props for Monty Python
Loot goose sounds just so cool
Loot Goose for sure. Great vid cuts today and really enjoyed the ending song!
Impeccable choice of Outro song... also Loot Goose all the way.
"alleged shrubbery" might be my favorite phrase ever spoken
Loot Goose? What the heck? How does that have anything to do with the original Wyrmwood branding? I would not think that this would be associated at all with Wyrmwood and probably wouldn't buy anything from it if I didn't know it was associated.
I’m going to register those domains so they can’t use either.... ha ha
I'm just at the part where he says how brave he is and its the best thing on the internet
Either they really want to make a silly joke for their slogan, or someone in Wyrmwood Marketing is really into the Untitled Goose Game...
Wouldn't Loot Goose run afowl of Loot Crate IP? Or is it just different enough to pass gander?
• Bobby & Matt, love the opening montage of seeing the workshop and craftsmen back again.
• LOL. You watch Wyrmlyfe, you learn about Mennonites. 😂 (Hilarious how Doug seems to be teleporting between MA and PA now)
• Wait... why does it have to be 'goose' in the first place? It just sounds disconnected with everything else you're doing. I say go with Loot Goose if you absolutely must but I would seriously suggest brainstorming something a bit more.... on-brand. Like WyrmLair, WyrmLoot, or Wyrm-something.
1: Loot Goose
2: Stage the trailer on your deliveries.
That Goose discussion is comedy gold
I've never done any sort of shipping like this, but does it make sense to send a second truck with this big rig? That way once they get to town, they can move the table to some sort of cube truck, which would be way easier to get in to residential areas. I guess you'd have to weigh the extra gas cost against potential damage, and time saved.
Are you guys looking or needing to cover the south eastern territory? I noticed keystone shipping only covers North Eastern.
*Loot Goose* is fantastic for the main store, and anything in the SALE section can be under the *Frugal Goose* banner!
The Wyrmling's Hoard just feels so right.
I know I'm WAAAY behind, but I like Loot Goose. It has assonance. Which, so you don't have to look it up, is:
Assonance: Resemblance of sound, especially of the vowel sounds in words; the repetition of identical or similar vowel sounds, especially in stressed syllables, with changes in the intervening consonants.
I have to say i just love you got little dickies 'save that money' playing in your outro. love it. also hope white gloves finds its legs.
