That's good you have a certain time to have a child. Ppl think b/c they "want" a baby then they can have 1, but it def doesn't hurt to also be financially stable.

that figure is reported as a lump sum. Loni simply broke the figure down by month but realistically it is not equally distributed across the months. it was to make it more simple and people are still confused. If you give your kid the bare minimum, of course it wont cost that much but who wants that?

my mom said with both me and my older sister (who's 20 now),excluding college, she said she probably spent about 125,000 to 150,000 all together taking care of us, and that's on the low end because she had hard times on money before. I actually believe this is true, imagine what those parents who are super rich spend? I'm 16 now btw, soooo yeah lol, not having kids!

Holding kids for ransom money each month is what many are doing now. Can't afford to raise the kids then give them to the father. Most men that get the kids get little to nothing in child support. Women pick only the things they want to be equal in. They leave the responsible stuff to the men. Then cry when they aren't equal
Here.. In Hong Kong.. It's about 4 million hk dollars. I can't imagine my parents raising 5 kids.. I'm 20 and I still live with my parents and they still support me 😂

1,000 is not accurate... formula, clothes and food isn’t 1,000 a month. Sure it’s expensive but the gap has sales and so does target Walmart.
I feed my kids organic and organic diapers and I don’t spend that much .. perhaps one or twice a year I go clothes shopping and spend that much but not every day.
Total Horsecrap !!! It only costs that much if you buy the kids all new name brand clothes everytime they need them-which is often. You can get $40 outfits for 25 cents at a garage sale that have been hardly worn because kids outgrow clothes every 4-6 months. Used bikes instead of new. Local amusement parks instead of Disney. Diapers and formula or the amount of food they is still less than 3 meals a day for an adult-Until their teen years. Don't let the costs scare you. Even if kids did cost as much as they say they are well worth it !

why do men only have to pay child support?
There are some women who have to pay child support, for example Halle Berry pays her child's father a lot of money although she has her daughter most of the time. It's just so the child won't notice a difference in her life style.
Because the way the system works, usually men make more money. Plus, usually the guy isn't the one taking care of the kid so, if the woman feels he isn't going to do right by her and the child, he is going to be forced to help.
It depends on the situation. In a lot of cases the child lives with the mother and the father isn't living there too, so he has to help take care of his child and pay child support.

Whoever has custody rights over a child, can file child support from the parent(s) who lost their custody for whatever reasons.

So men should only be paying $550 per child rather than what they pay now.... most are paying much more. Since you women want to be equal you should supply the other half right.... and how are welfare mothers ab ml e to raise kids on so much less? Child support is nothing more than payments to the x for her to use how ever she wants. No need to prove she spends it on the kids. Give the men 50/50 custody legal and physical then that would be equality for women and men, now wouldn't it. Each can put in their half of the money to raise the kids no need to make payments to an X.
