I sure learned a lot about kdee couplers D so you have a recommendation on what kadee coupler might work on marx o gauge rolling stock
No idea about Marx. 805 and 740s work on everything, it's a matter of getting the correct height using spacers during the mounting process.

Do you use the metal box kadee on steam engine tender?
Yes but the spacers are styrene. I've never had issues going that route.
@@Laidoffsick Lionel smartly drilled holes, included screws, and two circular spacers (just figure that out). I will try their spacers with the 740 and see if I have any issues.
Highly Recommend Liadoffsick videos. He REALLY knows his stuff. If you're trying to learn Kadee for O scale, this is the only place you need to view...
What size center punch is that?
The biggest one I had...doesn't really matter as long as it stretches out the holes.

Where can one find the shims in those various sizes, or do you print and sell them? I just got into converting my cars over to Kadee. Watched a few of your videos, converted a few, and oh my God, what a difference. You are absolutely correct with the Atlas cars too, they don’t line up perfectly, and drilling out the draft gearboxes makes all the difference in the world.
I’d like to learn as much about this as possible and I thank you in advance. These videos are great.
