Thanks for the Emma reaction, Emma never fails to deliver. Sorry to hear about your health issues. Owing to Emma's health condition, and attitude to life generally, Emma is a strong supporter of health related as well as other societal causes. She is an ambassador for a childrens' research hospital as well as for a government fund supporting extra coaching for music and sport. Emma has sung for the Queen Maxima (of The Netherlands) childrens' cancer charity, as well as to help flood victims in Limburg (the area where she lives) and for those affected by the Turkish earthquake. Emma has also supported commemoration, freedom and educational events linked to the National Committee for the 4th / 5th May remembrance of the Dutch Liberation in WWII. Emma's message is typically linked to peace and harmony. These performance in your video were almost to 4 years apart, Emma 12 and 16 respectively. In between these and mostly in the last 18 months, Emma has sung live to more than 1.4m people globally so yes, her experience is substantial and growing. Last night Emma completed her 99th concert with Andre Rieu, each sold out with 12000 to 15000 in the audience (Emma is doing the 2025 world tour too). She did 4 Fred and Friends concerts each with 16000, the MotoGP in Assen 110000, 4th/5th May related liberation / freedom concerts, she did a tour with the Dutch Customs Orchestra and a multitude of other smaller events. Emma is also regularly in demand with TV appearances both singing and for interviews. The 'Carrie On Friday' TV show, where Emma sang John Lennon's 'Imagine' in your reaction video, was an opportunity for Emma to promote her first solo concert, which will be at the Royal Concert Hall (Concertgebouw) in Amsterdam next October. To put into context how prestigious this venue is; Mahler, Richard Strauss and Stravinsky have conducted there, Rachmaninoff, Leonard Bernstein, Yehudi Menuhin, and Ella Fitzgerald have all performed there. Its superb acoustics place it among the finest concert halls in the world, along with Boston's Symphony Hall and the Musikverein in Vienna. The venue is naturally protective of its reputation so performers have to submit a resume etc to be considered to be allowed to put on an event there. Presumably the appearance on TV was partly to kick-start a year of ticket sales ahead of her concert. Emma had first announced the concert at 5 pm that evening on social media. However, by the time Emma stood up to sing 'Imagine', after less than 3 hours since her first announcement, Emma's show was already fully sold out! (and luckily I got my 2 tickets 😃) I expect we will see a lot more of Emma Kok in the coming years - I very much hope so at least. 👍
I'm very sorry to hear of the unpleasant health issues you are facing. As you know, Emma is also one who deals with difficult health issues. Her self-prescribed medicine is to create beautiful music. She does this not only for herself, but also to help and inspire others like yourself to face the tough challenges of life with courage and resolve. God bless you and keep you. All the best.
All the best to you Jimmy and keep that faith. Very nice of you to do these two performances. Warrior was her TV-debut and Imagine was the latest. This latest performance was during a weekly talkshow that is recorded in a soccer canteen. She also gave an interview prior to the song. RogerC, who is one of her fans, did a great job in creating subtitles for this video. You might want to see it for your self in private. It gives an insight into Emma's life, her condition and how she copes with it. ua-cam.com/video/QUOzSj4_wFw/v-deo.htmlsi=NPamn4-YFCtpWrZd Emma gives inspiration and hope to millions of people around the world. I know she inspires and comforts me day by day and just made a better man altogether. Thanks again for spreading her incredible talent. Keep safe and keep strong.
