Hello Prerna, actually there is no certain operating temp of scrubber. This is depending on the exhaust gas temp passing thru the scrubber. Some scrubber design has the what we called venturi and the other called jet section where in the exhaust gas was pre cooled. After the scrubber, in almost 10 makers that we have, the max temp setting for the alarm is 55deg C. And the purpose of it is to protect the gas analyzer from being damage.
Hello Sir, yes it really does. Infact, the equipment is approved by the classification societies, MEPC and other regulating bodies including USCG. These approving bodies has their experts confirming that this equipment meets the MARPOL requirements, to reduce the SOx. Scrubber is being widely used not just only to the ships but even to the industrial companies at shore. 🙂
