Thank you to @rlew49ers, @henkhessel3651, @jimivison5837, @TkTX6975, and @user-de3zz6fc4z! Right again, it was really nice to see the whole female side of the family sing together and for Mother's Day too. 😊
Your are very correct. This song makes everyone smile. Of course these three lady are just totally tops when it comes to class. Thank you so much Aleks for this wonderful reaction to a wonderful family. Please stay safe, healthy, and free.
Absolutely agree Aleks, it just makes you smile. You can’t help but be touched by the obvious love and joy they have, being together. Brimming with visual “warm fuzzies” and beautiful warm voices to boot. Thanks for presenting this 🙏🏻
What a wonderful ensemble of beautiful and different voices all from one family. This is the first time I've listened to any of their music, thank you for another great personal discovery.
You're so right! It was in the back of my brain, but yes, very different voices actually! Also, I am more and more happy to hear someone discovered new songs on my channel. Feels like I'm returning the favor as I keep discovering new music through you. Thank you for telling me. 🙂
Thank you Alexs for reacting to this old Nat King Cole very famous song, Lucy & Martha plus Louise their mom have made such an amazing cover of this great song " Smile " it is just so good when you listen to the cover it does make you smile. Take care, Barbara.
So, all the girls have the talent. That's got to be fun in the family. 😉 Added to the list, seems you're not the only one who thinks so btw. Someone else suggested as well. 😊
I don't know what training or performance experiance Louise has but she is apparently well known among family and friends for bursting into song at any opportunity car radio around the house or whenever. Probably where Lucy first got the interest. Lucy said in an interview that at 7 years old at her grandparents 50th .she jumped on stage and started giving a concert, many people recommend voice training to her parents so at 7 she started and Martha 6 years younger followed Lucy into training when old enough with the same voice coach.
Hello, Aleks! One of the cutest videos ever, right ?? Very talented girls in that family, that's for sure. I believe Lucy had JUST turned 19 here, which I think would put Martha at 14. Though I MAY be wrong 🙂 Together, the video and your reaction definitely made me smile, so thank you for that 😊 Love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥
Thank you, Sharky! Once again, we agree. Much love to Norway ❤️❤️❤️ Actually, I think I'm switching to Sharkster! Sounds a lot more serious than Sharky. 😀
Got that rolling pin ready? I guess I am just slow these days, I have heard Lucy Thomas before, on your channel and I've even posted comments! I guess the whole family thing threw me off, and yes it still was on your channel that I discovered her. 😁🤣
Nah, that's only for heavy transgressions. 🤣🤣🤣 Given that I'm slow oftentimes, I can't hold it against other, now can I? Really loving the fact that some of you are finding music through others on this channels and my reactions to their suggestions. ❤ Thank you so much for telling me that!
Hi Aleks! Talent definitely runs in that family! I've heard a lot of Lucy, a little of Martha & this is the first time I have heard Louise - they made me smile too!😁 I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you, I have links for the young singer I was telling you about, Maria (Masha) Mirova. I included 2 clips of her singing when she was very young, only 8yo on the No More War song, and 9yo when she was on The Voice Kids Russia in 2015. If you're familiar with the song she performed, The Winner Takes It All, by ABBA, then you'll know how radically different Maria phrased this song from the original! In fact, the lady judge, Pelageya is an excellent singer, thought Masha was dragging then catching up - she was amazed that she could do that at such a young age. But what she was actually doing was not dragging at all, but phrasing the song in her own way, completely different from Agnetha from ABBA who wrote the song, or from any cover I've ever heard. That's even more remarkable to do at 9yo! Maria is especially talented in the soul/jazz genre of singing. I included a clip where she is singing jazz, part of Lullaby of Birdland. I wish I had the whole song, sadly it's only an excerpt. Hopefully you'll be able to view it, it's from her dad Vladimir's VKontakte. He and I have been friends for a long time now. Her range is probably in the contralto to mezzo area, not super high, but she can get very powerful, as you'll hear. I was just taken with how much emotion she sings with, even at that early age! The last two clips are somewhat more recent, I think she's probably 19yo by now. Hope you enjoy them! Thank you so much, Joe! Happy to hear this was your first time listening to Louise - we're discovering something together, which is the point of reaction channels in my view. I've noted all of the videos of Maria Mirova, and will be sure to do a reaction to at least 1-2 of them, so I'll hold off on listening to them until I do that. It will be especially interesting to hear the old Abba hit that I do know by heart in fact. I'm even more glad to hear that friendships still extend across the globe, like the one you have with Masha's dad. 😊 You also mentioned Pelageya, which is a lovely old fashioned name (we have it in Serbia as well). Should I listen to anything specific by her?
Thanks Aleks! I'm glad you're very familiar with "Winner", because the way she sings it, it's almost like a different song! Her English is pretty much impeccable now, but back then she mispronounced several words. Didn't matter to me at all, I was just captured by the emotion she sang it with. The way she stretched out some words and changed the phrasing almost reminded me of Sarah Vaughan, crazy for a 9yo! But I saw an interview with her from around the same time, where she said she listened to a lot of jazz. The band also played it at a slower tempo, which helped with that kind of phrasing. The original is so beautiful of course; when I heard Maria's version, I looked up as many covers as I could, & every one I heard besides Maria's basically tried to emulate Agnetha's original rendition. I just thought, wow this kid is different!😮 I can't think of any songs or performances offhand to recommend for Pelagaya, but she sounded great in everything I have heard, so you probably can't go wrong. I know she does some traditional folk music, and then more contemporary also. She's been a star in Russia for many years. Yes, Vladimir's a great guy! I really like to make friends everywhere & whenever I can, especially when I find great musical talents. It seems easy to get along with people all over the world, if you're at least open to understanding people & things different from your own culture. Being a lifelong musician, as I've grown older & my health has declined, I still play my guitar all the time & do what performing and teaching I can, but I've focused more on what young people are doing. So many young prodigies and geniuses to be found on UA-cam nowadays! That's why I love reaction videos I've discovered a lot of music through them. Very interesting to get reactor's thoughts, as well as all the comments. Thanks again Aleks, I'll look for any reactions you'll be doing!😊
I listened to Abba a lot as a kid. My mom and dad both loved them. That's where most of music taste comes from. E.g. I don't listen to what's called "turbo folk" here in Serbia (god-awful noise really), but I do love some traditional old songs with soft, clear voices and no weird guttural yelling that seems to pass for music around here now (sadly). I've listened to quite a mix of classical, some jazz and soul, even some American Western movie music (Franky Lane), local and international pop/rock, my own taste grew into punk, Brit new age and metal, then went back into softer tones. I did miss some of the seemingly big artists in the USA that just weren't that big here or were simply before my time, though... Speaking of traditional old songs, I'd love to hear Pelagaya sing some of those. Generally, traditional folk music from any country is interesting to me. Loved some of the Irish songs, found them gorgeous... We are similar that we both believe music and culture go hand in hand and can really connect people, especially the differences. Personally, I love the differences between people's culture. They add color to the world and in my mind, make one think, look for a different perspective, try to understand more, it's both useful and fun. I will keep going. I found I am enjoying this even though it does require effort sometimes (no one is always in the mood for everything), but I've heard so many new artists, discovered so many amazing voices and melodies and my mood is lifted by mostly wonderful comments. Once again, thank you for being among those! ❤
"What A Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong is covered beautifully by Lucy & Martha: ua-cam.com/video/gHenRzcnBOQ/v-deo.html another song to add to your ever growing list! Thanks for doing the Thomas family cover of; Nat King Cole's version to my ears will always be the Gold Standard.
Ah, it's already on the list under your handle. I just added the link now as well. 😉 Fully agreed on the Nat King Cole's version, though this was lovely in a different way. Thank you for watching.
Nice reaction! Please react to Chakra Khan's cover of Teneseee Whiskey live performance at See You On Wednesday Room Mate Project. He's an Indonesian singer. You're gonna like it👍 Thank's🙏
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. For a moment there I thought I read Chaka Khan instead of Chakra Khan and got totally confused that she did a cover of Tennessee Whiskey. 🤣 No worries, I wrote this one correctly. As you might know, I add new artists from time to time, so Chakra Khan is likely to pop up at some point. 😉

This video is a gem. Louise , Lucy and Martha will treasure this keepsake for the rest of their lives. So unique and beautiful filled with love.
I haven't thought of that. You're right, this is a great memory to have. ❤️
So much talent in a single family. It's not fair 🤣. And yes, this reaction made me smile :)
It cannot miss. Simply makes everyone smile. ❤

I have heard that the Grandmother also sings. Lucy and Martha's cover of "o holy night" is beautiful. It's a shorter version but well worth watching.
So, all the girls have the talent. That's got to be fun in the family. 😉

Clearly! 😂😂😂
Lucy would have been 19 in February 2023 when it was released so still 18 when recorded Martha was 13 here and turned 14 in November 2023
Both young and talented. 😊

Hi Lucy just dropped a new song I dreamed a dream
Thank you for letting me know. Guess I will check it out soon. 😊
Lucy is only 20 and Marth is 15 so Mom is probably in her 40's.
I thought mom would be well in her 50's, but even for 40's she looks very young, it might be more her expression and comportment than anything else.
