12 valve CUMMINS Swapped Dodge D200 Sweptline Truck (COLD START!)

- Most people would just cut the firewall to fit the 5.9 first gen Cummins into the engine bay of a 69' Dodge D200 Sweptline. When doing this, the motor goes under the cowl, which causes the dash to move back, losing space in the cab. It also will cause the engine to become too difficult to service. Therefore, we will be fabricating the core support to give the 3 inches we need instead.
Hope you enjoy the video and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

I am getting ready to do this swap on an incredible 1967 D200 I found! I’ll be running an intercooled engine, so that will be the only real hurdle. Done a few Cummins swaps, this one looks pretty incredible! Nice work!
Appreciate it!
Truck 🚚 🛻 is getting ready to Roll. Great 👍 Job.
Very close! Can’t wait
Live in Central Canada. Currently -32 Celsius outside at 7am. Luckily our cold snap is over for now lol was -48c couple weeks ago
Burrrr
I am loving this series, looking forward to seeing what she looks like completed and for other cool truck projects you guys have waiting
Thanks!
I live in the south-eastern part of Texas near the gulf, it got down to a nice brisk 16°F with a feel like of 2. Cold, but nowhere near what you're experiencing
brrrr! Hope this winter is better
The ole squint and pray death wheel action, get dude a face shield! I did not cut my firewall out either and crammed an intercooler in front of the rad, tiny pusher e-fans. The bracket I built for the fans became the brace for the core support. I like the way ya'll did this, good work!
Wish this one was intercooled! Thanks for checking it out.
I live in Sunnyside Washington it is currently 7degress at 11:20pm
We got down to -6 2 nights ago
Wow, brothers. I'm so glad to have found this build. Stoked to watch you all work on this. God bless you guys.
Getting very close to drivable!
@@RealSteelFabrications can't wait to see the progress!
love it
All the innuendos and 70s pornography music add to the content lol
Hard to beat content, you know what I mean?
Did you guys just use the frame from the Cummins and just body bed swap the d200 to the frame or did you just use the d200 frame
Used the Cummins chassis, had to stretch it. There’s a video on the channel of when we did it
Thanks for the series, getting ready to start a build as well. Can you tell me the radiator and fan you used and did it come with the new relay? I want to use the same set up, looks perfect. Thanks
was a cheap one off of eBay, fans came with
It's colder than a witch's tit in a brass bra 😂😂😂 I really enjoy your videos, guys!! Thank you for the great content and good humor!!
Appreciate it, hope to have a crew cab video out soon!
You broke your hand?
yes, all good now
Great build. Neverr thought of putting a cummings in mine. 20 years ago. It going to be a fine running truck. I live in europe now and own a couple of 1970 Mercedes 508 5 tonne campers. Has a 314 diesel. Not fast but garenteed to get you there. Great mods you did. It gets cold in Sweden. Was -0.4f the other day. Good for your blood. Have a good Christmas. 👍
I’ve heard those Mercedes are very slow! I’m ready for Spring lol. Merry Christmas to you as well! Appreciate the comment
@@RealSteelFabrications 55 mph is the fastest you can go in europe on B roads. Need to put a turbo on it..Big big tyres on the rear. But the trick is you don't pay no road tax or need a inspection because they over 50 years old..and insurance is 100 USD a year. And can get a good brakedown package for 50 USD. And a true classic. Made when Mercedes was quality. Engine good for 500.000 miles min. And can get the parts anywhere in the world. And can find um cheap. There is a good cult following in Europe. Plenty utube vids. Have a good one guys. Great build. I miss my D200.
@@fyou4122 will have to look into them! Thanks
@@RealSteelFabrications ye man. Have a sniff around see what's hiding . Think 307 was over there. Check 406 also. Then the bigger 6 series. With 6 cylinder engine. 613. Might choke down a nitros injector if I get to the big hills. Lol. Adios.
