The Enzo is my favourite Ferrari ever. It's got such a gorgeous shape and the fact that it has the name of the creator of the founder... It's truly something special.
I love the Enzo, every year get more and more gorgeous!!Interestingly, you can reprogram the Enzo gearbox to the same configuration as the 599 GTO without any mechanical modification, just remap the ECU, that makes it much faster, and even more fun! And just remember the Enzo go over 220mp/h not 211mp/h! Great content as always
Are you sure? Have you a link where it says that? For example the CS gearbox software in an standard 360 doesn´t work without hardware modifications....
The Enzo is timeless, extraordinary, iconic, and legendary machine. James, your knowledge and ability to relay your experience driving these amazing motorcar's is much appreciated. Thank you mate. from Portland, Or USA
One of the greatest engines ever. The sound is so damn masculine and raw, like a huge lion. Long live, Michael and long live Enzo! My most favourite car ever :) P.S. The folks cursing the slow shifting times, it becomes much rapid in Race mode. 150 milliseconds is still faster than almost all normal road cars of the current era.
That V12…What a thing. What a sound!! The Enzo is, indeed, iconic. And to get to drive HAD to be epic, especially with the added bonus of driving the F40 and F50. That’s just awesome.
Awesome - remember driving one of these to the Top Gear track @ Dunsfold in the rain and breaking traction in 3rd on a wet crown in the road 🤪 and suddenly searching for talent. Its raw raw raw and wonderfully balanced , cracking vid 🦾
What an experience! Interested to know if you felt the gearbox was considered good when you first took it around the track when it launched? I couldn’t see past it after the F50 and F40 🏁
I was skeptical when you first launched this series, the first outing felt a shortchanged teaser, but with this introduction, the descriptive, historical nuanced depth you import with parallel referenced comparisons re past clutches, models, etc, I'm sold. You know what you are saying and not just spewing armchair rhetoric. Thank you, looking forward to the next chapter.
I also expected it to be in better condition but I guess they don't want to spend the money, time and effort on detailing work or they want to leave it as original as possible and to preserve the thickness of the clearcoat for the next owner. It's not realistic to keep up a flawless finish, within a few washes and test drives it will start to accumulate paint defects. Even in reviews of cars which are practically brand new you can see swirls in closeup shots in direct sunlight.
I will never forget being 13 and seeing an enzo for the first time at the local dealership. My friend and I were shaking with adrenaline looking at that spaceship sitting there
That Enzo, as amazing as it looks, it needs a proper detailing on that beautiful nose, you can see through the video the holograms on that nose. Great opportunity for NVN haha Great video James ✌️👍😂
The Ferrari F50 was the first Ferrari I seen. It was a poster of course, but definitely made an impression on me at 8 years old. Still my favorite automobile of all time.
@@drewmorg., as far as possible, I'll NEVER again ride a motorcycle, considering my unfortunate experiences with my first motorbike. If it were not for the fact I was wearing leather pants, I'd have massive scars on my legs right now.
Enzo engraved itself as a pinnacle of supercar in my generation's minds, and nothing else can still hold a candle to its status! I dont care how many hypercars come out these days, I only still live for the day I see Enzo in real.
Note: the car is actually called the Enzo Ferrari. It says that on Ferrari's history page and in the museums. Unless you're talking to the DVLA or DMV, that's how it should be referred to.
It's such a legendary car and I'm sure an epic moment in life to drive one. The only issue I have with it is the color. Obviously a car this awesome it's hard to pick any nits from it but if I were going to be nit picky, I'd have a FLY one instead of Rosso Corsa. However, I do understand where Ferrari's most iconic car would have it's most iconic color. Congrats James. Truly the stuff of legends mate.
The only Ferrari I was fascinated with because of Michael Schumachers input, the F-1 nose styling was icing on the cake. I always wished it had a rear spoiler to match and I still think it's missing one, not sure what they were thinking.
This is still number one on my list of cars I want to see in person. The head of design at Pininfarina was Japanese at the time and it shows in the coolest way.
The shifts do seem pretty slow in comparison to modern DCT's. But just having that sort of gearbox in 2002 must have been wild. Car sounds amazing too.
Nice video JWW - so weird seeing you driving that around where I grew up. Saw them all parked up the other day. Amazing cars. Looking forward to seeing the F50
Great video as always James!!I think you should have more external footage to these beautiful B roads!!And why not footage from the rev counter!!Amazing car and that sound...epic!!!
This video should go viral not 111k. Come for years there were no videos about one of the absolute special Ferrari ever made car. The ENZO. Ferrari have only 2 super special car F50 and ENZO. Thank you so much letting us see this beautiful cars.
Great review and series. Love it and I would love to see you do the OG Hardcore Supercars like the MCLAREN F1 LM, Porsche GT1, and Mercedes CLK GTR. That's my favorite 3 car lineup of modern classics.
The way you describe this Enzo is like I would describe the LaFerrai. Different but consider the years betwenn those 2 cars is the a oint betwenn your age and mine. This is the car that we all Dream ! Tank’s
i was very lucky to have a drive as a passenger and then as a driver of an Enzo even though i didnt get above 60mph it was one hell of an experience back when it had been out only a couple of years, one thing about the enzo is its sounds mega and sounds faster than a modern day car
I don’t get what people like about twin clutches unless you need it for racing. I feel like a single clutch manual paddle is the best of both worlds. If you’ve ever driven a car with this and you are an enthusiast, you are well aware it feels incredible. It doesn’t lose the traditional manual tactile feel.
I have a poster of a Ferrari Enzo signed by Michael. I got it 12 years ago and wasn't in driving age back then. Today, I dream of driving this car on a track with a legend like Michael teaching me (be it just forb 1 hour).
These are great videos James... Are they not going to allow you to drive the 288GTO? That was the granddaddy of them all. I was lucky enough to be a passenger in one, and it is AMAZING....
Definitely one of the first hypercars. I remember an Enzo trying and failing to undertake me into the Torino airport entrance. The engine sound is really reminiscent of my old AM Vanquish S with a similar robotised semi automatic manual. Seems like more intense drive though from this great video!
That's why You need to convert that Enzo into Manual Shift James ... to Unleash Her Full Potential & Truly Pull on Your Heart Strings ... If i had the Good Fortune to Owning an Enzo that's the Modification i would have done ... Thank You James for Sharing this Beautiful Macchina ... She is a Gem .

This was the last really nice sounding V12 from Ferrari. Everything else after that was just high pitched screaming noise which I really don't like. This Enzo on the other hand sounds just awesome!
Man! I'm a huge fan of the Enzo, however, seen how long it takes for those shifts.. ☹️ it feels like forever. P.S: that road is really narrow 😮 I'd be scared shitless.
I don't know why it bothers me but out of all of those cars Mr JWW mentioned the LaFerrari is the only Hypercar! It has and always was if a car does over 240 mph it counts as a Mega Car and if it has a Hybrid system where electric motors are working with a combustion engine then it's a Hypercar.

One must wonder, in the age where cars are forced to be so "safe" how the heck are motorcycles still legal?
