    Can I just say: this is the first contouring tutorial that seems clear enough for me as an autistic person. Thank you, Tina, for making contouring a little less intimidating for me. :) Keep up the good work.
    Most of the time I find myself really confused when it comes to contouring. People just throw some product names around and start applying it in a way that I've literally never heard of before, and with brushes I'm seeing for the first time. That makes me feel like I have to be halfway to a professional make-up artist to even try.
    But this tutorial is really easy to understand. This is literally all of the information I need in a simple, precise explanation. And I finally get to find out what all those brushes I often see are for. I really wish someone would've explained brushes to me before, because they seemed so overwhelming when I first saw how many different types there were.

    I like how unlike other tutorials, Tina uses foundation that isn't as dark and concealer that isn't too much lighter than her skin tone. It makes her makeup look a lot more settle and really elegant.

      +Iliana Aguilar yeah, you do, and you aren't supposed to contour your forhead at all if you already have a small forhead, unless you like a small forhead of course, and want to make it look even smaller. Thats why I dont get why Tina contoured her forhead and only slightly highlighted it, when se already has a small forhead.

    I doubt she'll find this comment but Tina I just started doing makeup for the first time on my own. I'm 19 and I've waited for a long time to do makeup because it never occurred to me that I "have" to wear them. I'm only doing them now because I wanted to learn how to do makeup for myself. Everytime I needed help with the basics of makeup your video would pop up and I'd watched them. I'm so happy knowing you practically made almost all the basics of makeup that I need. Thank you so much and I'm excited to begin this makeup journey.

    I've never contoured before. I've watched several tutorials so far, and they were all super intimidating. The amount of steps was insane and the sheer number of products used was overwhelming. I personally would like to know what you love and how it applies and such rather than you settling for something you dont like as much but use because we demand drugstore makeup.
    On a separate note, I love how easy you make makeup application seem:)

    And here I am finally watching a beginner video that shows WHERE to exactly start the highlights on the cheeks. I always felt like i needed to know the angles because it seemed as though different people place it where it needed to be done on them which makes sense but there was never an explanation to why, just nothing but flawless results. this is a great beginner how to just know why and how so thank you! • @lisaaopignatelli
      @lisaaopignatelli 8 років тому +8

      Missi Vivi I don't know how old you are but baking can be rough under the eyes if u don't have an extremely fine powder and even then it can still be drying but powder is ur friend for setting ur makeup. Using waterproof or resistant products are key. Anything water based will slide right off in the humidity. Keep some things in your bag for touch ups just in case. Remember the places on ur face where the sweat will show up or gather the most like ur forehead, under the eyes n ear ur cheeks and over the middle of ur nose, the upper lip. Places like that need the extra powder. Not under your eyes too high though. Only bake where that sweat may be like just where your top of the cheekbone moves into your nose. Too high under your eye can cause texture or crepe skin where you don't want it. Also make sure there's some color to the powder. You don't want to look like u just smacked ur face with baby powder. Translucent isn't always translucent lol. If you go coo coo for contour please blend. Even in this video with a pro doing it the blending still wasn't enough to stop that 5 o'clock shadow look on the jaw and if you're in the sun it is soooo obvious. Practice ahead of time ,in the sun, till you think it's good to go on that day but don't wait til the actual day. Lol. Take a mirror outside and move that face all around checking from every angle so u can tell what works and what doesn't. Less is more with too much color or dark color when ur in the sun and/or sweating. Hit that setting spray. If your powder looks too heavy under your eyes a spritz of rose water works like a charm ( Wayne Goss has videos on this and anything else) Don't forget your blotting paper and have a great time. Good luck!😊👍🏼

      Hi ;) If you know of the store Sportsgirl they sell some cosmetics and their wind up Kabuki brush is amazing, it's all I use for contouring and blush and because it's wind up if I want it looser you just only wind it up a little so the brush bristles are tight and tougher- it was only $7 (Australian) !!! I love her she's so pretty without makeup. she always had good info. I'm a person who needs affordable makeup with the occasional splurge. I'm getting the message out if anyone is concerned, and some may know: MAC, Estee Lauder, Loreal, Maybelline, and Rimmel are not cruelty free. I am not a bully just sharing info because I was surprised. Flower, wet n wild, hard candy, elf. urban decay Kat Von D, Jeffrey star, cruelty free. I have been bullied for sharing this. Please let's not be negative, yes I'm vegan they can be oppininated ,and nasty like some famous you tubers. That's not my intention, just sharing. xoxoxo

      I would say that it's not only a right, but an obligation to inform people about these kinds of products. I mean animals are suffering just so some rich people can get prettier. That is way worse than just stating it. Even if it's "annoying" to speak the truth, well it is what it is. So well done and thank you for actually saying that :)

      I have to add ARBONNE!! Cruelty free is one facet but sometimes makeup still has animal bi-products inside. Arbonne is certified Vegan also, so you can be sure of what you're putting on your skin hasn't hurt anyone else... Send me any other ?s at ashewoodz@gmail.com - I'm an Arbonne consultant so I can get you discounts if you're concerned about the price:) Thanks for bringing this point up!!

    Why is it that when I apply concealer, it always looks very caky? I've tried Maybelline's FitMe and Instant Age Rewind concealer and they always look so caky and dry. I've tried using primer beforehand and also translucent powder afterwards, but they don't make it any better.
    Great video though! I will try this contouring method, but skip the concealing part. 👍
