Hi! Relatively new Neo Geo fan here! The console I currently have is the Neo Geo CD and I love it. I am aware of the longer load times, but as you already mentioned that really only applies to late release games. The rest load up fairly ok, not much different from a 3DO or PlayStation. Others like the Last Blade games are dreadful, you can go make a sandwich in the time it takes to load those games. One thing I like about the CD games is that they also have really awesome Redbook audio and soundtracks. Far East of Eden Kabuki Klash in particular sounds really good this way. I am planning on getting an MVS with a Supergun so that I can play the titles that never made it onto the CD as well as other arcade boards like the Atomiswave and Sega ST-V. I wouldn't mind the AES, but the console and its games cost way too much. Even the Terraonion flashcart for it is over $600, talk about wallet rape. Either way I'm glad to be a part of the Neo Geo community, long live the arcades! :)
I also love collecting for SNK hardware and I have an AES, CD and CDZ myself. If anyone wants to know its really easy to fix the rgb output on the AES-6 revision consoles and the RGB output with sound works with the HD Retrovision RGB cable for the Model 1 Sega Genesis\Mega Drive. I'm using it that way right now! Also the CD\CDZ models output RGB over a simple S-video cable. Plug your CD\CDZ into a CRT with S-video input and prepare to be amazed. If the load times spook you when considering buying a CD system, keep in mind that it has really simple and affordable RGB output. Also the CDZ does have much improved load times.
I'm looking for one, very hard to come by in my country when you have a tight budget. Would be great to review normal one and then upgrade with LCD for example.
Nice - I only have a NeoCD for the low meg and the otherwise silly expensive AES/MVS games like Last Resort, Mutation Nation and Sengoku 2. The more common less expensive titles I have got the AES, and for all those other Neo games I use one of my MVS systems :D An AES mini would be neat collectible - the AES styling is still awesome - but it would be just an Android based soc pcb in a case ie. emulation, and you can do that quite easily nowadays anyway, with many low cost options already available. Some have converted the Neo X case into a Pi Case for a similar effect.

Another run of the Analogue Wood Grain System id love to see. Its like the Atari style design with great games. :P I actually love the mini I got it for under $70 but that's as much as Id pay for one. Its a great little system if you just want to play a few games now I like the new console MVS as far as the favorite , using a muticart or sd cart way cheaper then buying the games. I finally dipped the toe in Neo Geo I always wanted to and now i have the funds to jump in. I will do a tiny review on them maybe.

Nice neogeo collection,I have the neogeo mini USA version ,I have the mvs player except mines has a cover all around it I bought it from alliexpress,I have the neogeo cd with a good collection of games ,I have an extra mvs system just laying around ,I bought that mvs system way back in 2015 on eBay for 445 .00 it comes with the bios chip ,it plays very good ,it had AV hook ups,And I have all four controllers ,2neogeo cd controllers ,the bean controller,the aes stick too,there very pricy controllers,but very worth it😁😁😁

I would love to see a cartridge based system with an internal hard drive. Wifi enabled Neo Geo store front so you can buy digital games if you want with online play for both cartridge and digital so you can play other people online if you want.
I could have sworn SNK announced they may have something planned for Neo Geo? Not sure if its just games, they may make a (micro) console? Or, I'm thinking SNK might do a virtual/digital console. Something like Steam.
Luckily I still do posses the original "arcade" home console with its original controler since 1994, that time I bought it with the Super-Sidekicks2-Cardridge, which remained the only one I could afford (and which is still the only NeoGeo-cadridge I have!)!🤣😉
Ah man. I have struggled with this. Since the release of the Neo Geo X. Now SNK always was and should remain a premium brand!. Now the Neo Geo X and that fisher price lookalike.....wtf! Although being a fan of emulation I still get to play all the great games but I really, really like the look of the consolised mvs system on aliexpress......thanks to you Mr wicked!
Excellent video! I believe the new Chinese owners of SNK ruined the company! Like you said they are just milking the cash cow putting out horrible mini emulation systems. Not to mention how many variations of the mini can they release???? I’d love to see a fpga neo geo aes mini that has a cartridge slot to play original games for nostalgia plus an SD slot that you could just load roms on. That would be the ultimate!

I am fine with really good emulation as long as it's as close to the original as possible. I would be happy if SNK would put out a single disk for PS4 and Xbox One with every single game SNK ever published under the Neo Geo brand. The few that can be bought from the Xbox store run superbly on the Xbox One. Right now you can get Xbox One digital download copies of Metal Slug, Metal Slug 2, 3, 4, 5, X and XX plus a few other titles at $7.99 each. I would want the collection to be on a disk that in a nice collectable case. A disk is a tangible item you can keep, sell trade and have some feeling of ownership. It's convenient to have everything disk-less and never have to get off your butt and load a disk. I would gladly pop in a disk for a full Neo Geo collection. If sold at $100 or so a copy, SNK could make a lot of money on the deal while making a lot of people happy in the process.
Neo Gunloc I did like seeing the neo geo x. Playing metal slug on that handheld would be fun. Couldn’t afford neogeo as a kid so never got into it until recently.
