I like Roger's sense of humor and how he can laugh at himself.
Which is something the #generation have yet to learn to do. None of them can laugh at themselves.
Daltrey is like a jolly working class landscape gardener. Townshend offers considered, complicated answers like a lecturer.

The Who is one of my favorite bands ever. Im really glad these two legends are still alive.
Been a Who fan since the early 70s and got to see them “live” when Moon was still alive. Always felt they were under rated and still do to some extent. Glad to see Pete and Roger have remained friends
I don't know if being considered a legendary band is underrated. Plus, funnily enough, they became friends rather than remain friends.

Best concert I ever saw was the Who doing Tommy at the Community Concourse in San Diego in, I think, 1971. I've never seen another live band on that level.

Saw them with my two boys about a decade ago. They blew my (remaining) hair back. They are every bit as good as the Beatles or the Stones or Queen or AC DC. They were and still are epic.

I saw them live in Berlin the 12th of July 2006 with a dear friend of mine, they were amazing - i was blown away. Luckily they released that whole tour on dvd and cd so I can revisit that night. Long live The Who!

Roger Daltrey is a legend for what he just said about Brexit and FIFA. Excellent.
He made it to the top purely because of exceptional talent and hard work, so he is beholden to nobody and can speak his mind. Lesser artists dare not challenge the "progressive" orthodoxy demanded by their owners, for fear of "consequences".

The Beatles will always be my number one but it is close for 2nd..The Who, Jethro Tull or CSN&Y, but if we are talking live shows, The Who win hands down, even over the Beatles. I'd love to see them again but honestly, I don't party like I used to. 😏

Good to hear Pete give props to The 1975. Always curious to hear what the old timers think of today's artists, good or bad. Incidentally, I saw The Who in '75 along with my brother and our neighborhood buddies - a couple of times during the concert they turned on these HUGE floodlights, Roger tossing the mic way in the air, Pete's right arm windmilling like crazy. Went to school with RD, JE & PT, recall Roger D being pissed and running round the playing field John E even came round my house many times as he was my brothers best friend, and I was totally unaware who he was at the time,and what was to come. Brilliant band, brilliant blokes, such a shame music lacks the creativity of that time. Perhaps youngsters should see that opportunity gap in the market, and replicate it today?
dude there are still plenty of artists/bands today who are very creative with writing music. It's just mainstream music that's become a bit too saturated

The problem is that it's all been done before and no one is interested in buying a new rock album on the level of Tommy or The Wall. The album format is dying. It's all about individual songs now.
Not everything must be mainstream to be a success. Look up Steven Wilson and his albums.

what townsend says about music being repeated inadvertently by other artists is something that occurred to me many years ago. I remember thinking 'how the f**k do musicians keep coming up with new stuff all the time' it was a real mystery to me.

I was at the tragic Who concert in Cincinnati Dec. 3 1979 when 11 people were crushed to death getting thru the doors. Hard to believe it will soon be 40 yrs! 😢 Still Love this band!

I saw Roger last summer and he played all of Tommy (one of my favorite albums and movies ever!). My parents took me to see Roger last summer for my eighth grade graduation present and I loved it! Both of my parents have always been huge Who fans and I have too. I can’t wait to hear the new album and I’m hoping to maybe have the chance to see them this tour. I haven’t see Pete live yet and I’ve always wanted to see him live because he’s one of my favorite musicians ever and he is certainly one of my all time favorite guitarists ever!
I grew up with there wonderful music. Still talk about Charlton with my friend who was there and I wasn't. The Who is still the top band for me. Just great.

I discovered The Who when I was still a teenager in the early 2000s. I spoke about them to anyone during any conversation.
It still hard to believe that these 2 gentlemen here are two of the most brutal, raging rock stars of all time.
