I wouldn't worry about the noise. The washer is from the 60s. And man... I didn't know washers like these existed back then. Love how the control panel lights up. The solid state electronics were and is still reliable compared to today's standards
Fixing that washing machine 🙌 is just about like fixing a classic car 🚗 that has been out in a field, or in a barn for 45 years. The part that counts, is getting either one into perfect 👌 running condition. The only part that got to me, is turning the washing machine upside down, or laying it down. It's often said not to do so, for that the oil can leak out of the transmission. GREAT JOB 👍, and video length. Your friend, Jeff.
Love the video but I about died when you flipped it over straight on to concrete…..protect that finish with a blanket or rag! Edit: whew looks like you had one that wasn’t visible at first haha. Great video - thanks!
Hey how's it going? I have a huge favor to ask. I want to replace my moms super old washer back in the UK/Ireland. There are limited options there top load wise with there being two whirlpools and only one maytag top loader. Is there any way you would be able to check out those online for me and recommend one? I would really appreciate it. Failing that I would be more than happy to import one across from you guys if thats possible. Appreciate it in advance. I know its a big ask.
@@Thedonsmoney25823 I know the belt on my aunts lady Kenmore machine broke off many years ago and she had it fixed . My moms machine almost the same problem and we had the same machine as my aunt had. The Sears repair man tightened the old belt to tight that it recked the bearings in the tub. We also needed a new pump because access water would stay in the tub . That was the problem to begin with. This is dating back to the 80s . We wound up getting a new machine back in 1983. Bought the whirlpool with the surgilator agitator
Wow, seeing that much water in this washer seems soooooo wrong now, although this is when clothes used to “get really clean” and smell clean, not like todays washers where the clothes smell sour and towels smell like, well, what is that stink. Sad if you think about it. Just miss the olden days.
Yea because today's impeller blades aren't as tall and long compared to back then. I don't know how they came to the conclusion this is better than the washer impeller back then
Amazing the engineering that went into these.
Man, I haven't seen a sudssaver valve in more than 40 years
I might have one of those 350367 pumps laying around somewhere.
I miss those older model washers they were so much better than what's being made today an they were very reliable as well
Bought one of those used from a nice Mexican couple in Dallas for $75 in 1977 - drug it halfway across the country and used it another 10 years!
Eugene, love the beard! It looks good on you.
This kind of washer was considered for the rich people. We didn't have a washer like this when I was a kid. We had manual
The beard is cool. Makes me think of a leprechaun type cut. Perfect timing.
The haircut and beard look GREAT, I’ll try keep my comments PG 🤭
Love this colourway , looks to have plenty of programme options, what type of filter does this washer use ?

Les anciennes étaient toujours les meilleures !

Short of washing your laundry in a river and beating it on a rock to remove excess water; there is no such thing as an antique washer.🎉
Beard is amazing
The single rinse where it fills and empties was...interesting.
Early 1980, direct drives came out
1983
That's cool to know... companies are advertising as if it's the new thing
I wanted to run it first so I can see it run. My name is fabian from the US.
Eugene you look very Dapper with the beard!
Good washer 😊
that looks like a car belt.
Who's the office mascot?
My aunt had a woo wooing Kenmore oion 1984 70 series
1988 1990 direct drive
That's very easy to repair
