So you know, it does NOT work on fabric. I tried that exact tool on several book cloths and it was worthless. I tired waiting for it to get more hot and tried softer and harder pressure, nothing. I tried it on paper and it works perfectly.

Hi, would this work on any brand of hot foil? Like ones you'd put through a foiling machine like a laminator?
Hi! I'm not 100% positive because I haven't tried different foil, but I believe the same foil you use for foiling machines does work with this pen. I would definitely test out your foils before any project though just to be sure!
Have you tried the blue standard tip?
Hi Serina! Unfortunately, no, I haven't gotten my hands on a Standard Tip to try out. I will certainly post a video if and when I am able to!

Yes, I wrote out my lettering in pencil on the foil before using the pen just to make sure everything fit properly!

The foil on the items shown in the video is still surviving with no flaking! I haven't tried scraping it off really hard but I don't think it would be easy to scratch it off. Depending on what you're foiling on and where the foil is located, I could see normal wear and tear decreasing it's lifespan over a long period of time if there is constant rubbing against it, but I'm very pleased with the staying power of the foil!
Hi, can I use Them in Metall?
Hmmm, I'm not sure it would work on metal because it wouldn't be able to stick very well. You can always test your pen out on different surfaces though!
This pen seems to create uneven writing, would appreciate any tips though ??
Hi Eddy - I'd love to know what you mean by 'uneven writing'? If you mean some ripples in the foil, try making sure your foil is as flat as possible on your surface and write slowly to avoid pulling the foil while you're writing. If you mean uneven in that some spots don't stick well, make sure you're letting your pen heat up for enough time. Unfortunately, this pen will not work with all surfaces, so it might also be a materials issue if you're finding the foil just isn't sticking properly. I hope that helps!
Do you know what gold leaf pens would be good for signing on paper? (like a signature at the bottom of the artwork) and would they be permanent? thanks for any advice 🙂
Unfortunately, I don't know of any gold foil options for singing artwork, but you could always try using gold calligraphy ink! That would dry metallic and look nicer than a simple gold gel pen.

what temp does the pen run at? does it say on the box?
It doesn't say the temperature that I could find unfortunately. If you need temperature control as part of your pen, I would invest in a higher quality, more expensive one than this hobby pen!

This is the foil that came with the pen -- they provide you with a small roll of foil to start with!

Yes, it should work on real leather!
