- Опубліковано 15 чер 2023
- Comedian Ari Shaffir began his Skeptic Tank Podcast thirteen years ago in hopes of better understanding humanity and to make fart jokes. Over five hundred episodes with guests and topics ranging from parents, drug dealers, cops, orphans, sex, religion, internet e-rage, politics and much much more. I recorded episodes from airplanes, cars, parks, studios, from countries like Ecuador, Romania, Guatemala, France and more…Now it is time to lay to rest Skeptic Tank Podcast. Thank you to everyone who has listened and watched! I hope you enjoyed it.

All hyperbole aside, this really was one of the best podcasts there ever was. Much love Ari
Agreed. Back in the day when I could just listen to a podcast during work, driving or whatever. But these days a podcast has become an event.. "I MUST ALSO WATCH".. Thank you for the time back, Ari the Jew.
Huge stretch. No one watched ari unless he was a guest on anoher podcast
@@rickybobby76 fr idk why people say shit like this. Not many people are genuinely fans Ari just his circle😂😂😂
@@rickybobby76 I'm curious how you came to be on THIS video to be making that post.
@@Genious. algorithm? Like I just said. He is on legion of skanks, bonfire, tigerbelly, etc.
If it died, I can't wait to see what you have to say about it...
Fair point.
Hahaha😂❤
Kobe.....
Lol
@@damiengirvan5020 It was his thing to say shocking things when people died before the Kobe beef happened.
This podcast introduced me to some of my favorite comedians. Thank you Ari, for everything.
Another benefactor of that skeptic tank BUMP!

The table read of your Scooter script remains one of the funniest podcasts ever recorded. I re-listen to it annually and enjoy it everytime.
That was an amazing show
Ooo, andawa I got the powa Iliad been stuck in my head for years lmao
I would pay for a better production of that. Even if it’s just another table read with better mics
Listened since 2014. Most memorable were Henry Rollins, Rolf Potts, Joey Diaz and Duncan Trussell. Thanks Ari. See you in travels
You're voice has somewhat been a part of my life's soundtrack for the last decade - Thank you Ari - for being there for people you don't even know. RIP Skeptic Tank.
This podcast hit when it really hurt. The day my ex broke up with me, Ari released episode 343. Breaking up is hard to do. Just crushed me.
My dad broke up with me. The pod got me through it.
@dogchaser520 My dog died. I cried while fucking him for the last time listening to this podcast.
@@dogchaser520 you dad broke up with me too. Damn I miss rawdogging his tight ass
Been listening since the podcast started. Genuinely sad about this. Love you Ari and hope to see more of you man.
Dude. it breaks my heart.
Thanks for always mentioning First Responder, no doubt the episode forged a friendship I'd never thought I'd have. For that I'm eternally grateful and of course to all the fans that reached out. Thank you!
You were brave to come on. First and last Italian I'd ever have.

This podcast changed my life. Made me start traveling. “Not all those who wander are lost”. Thank you Ari. ❤
Great ep! That funeral pyre in India was wild.
In 8 days I'll be homeless. Living out of my car. That episode has helped assuage any fear I have. I don't know what's going to happen, but for sure some things are going to happen.
The full phrase is “not all those who wander are lost, but, not all those who are lost wander.” It means the opposite of how everyone uses it. Read a book.
@@TheWillrocks51 “Not all those who wander are lost” is the name of the episode I was referencing. Before commenting, think of the context maybe. 🙄
@@TheWillrocks51 no, it comes from the lord of the rings and the full phrase is:
“All that is gold does not glitter; Not all who wander are lost. The old that is strong does not wither.”
Also the phrase you wrote doesn’t even mean what your claiming it means smh. You might want to read easier books, your reading comprehension is truly terrible.
The closing is a work of art. As so much of Ari's comedy is. He is THE art-comic.
Hahahaha. Thank you!
My favourite moment was your story about making it as a regular on the store. When you start crying, I start crying. Love that story. I have been listening since the beginning. Thanks for everything man! Excited to see what’s next.
Which episode is that?
Oh man that episode was so beautiful
Thanks for having me on Ari. RIP Skeptic Tank.
Stay down when cops start shooting! It was an honor having you on.
Thank you for your interview Jake!
Love you Jake!
Noice
Jake you were on Skeptic Tank! Fuck I gotta watch that one :D
I will never forget Ari's emotional goodbye to Ralphie it still resonates with me. On the positive side now you are free to do a podcast with Soder.
That got to me too
Ditto, same for the one when Mitzi passed.
Dam, I remember him talking about Ralphie but not sure I heard the one when he said goodbye. Do you know what episode that was?
The background of the city and you being in a cemetery fits this so well..RIP skeptic tank ...your special was one of the best I've ever seen ...well done sir
thanks for 10 years of great content. my favorite episode was the one you did with the guy who owned that caving company in SE Asia.
John Spies. I heard he left and gave the whole lodge to his workers for free instead of selling it to an investor.

Rip. Thank you for introducing me to the entire new york comedy scene.
Untapped market. Somebody should really try to make Normand, Schulz, Gillis, Stav, Morrill, List, Vulcano, Big Jay, and Seinfeld into bigger names.
@@arishaffir - Hargus Seinfeld?
Me too... I remember the transition from LA to New York and have since seen Ari twice at skankfest. Listening to that episode was like time traveling. Remembering milestones with Ari's voice in the background. Was a simpler time not too long ago...
My favorite moment was hyping us up for You Be Trippin then never giving it to us😂 Enjoy your summer vacation, we'll be waiting for you
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve cried listening to your story of getting passed at the store. You’re a good dude Ari. Thanks for all the great motivation and entertainment.
Skeptic tank became my JRE for many years now.... love that it had an interesting topic each episode and not just MMA and Comedy! Ari is a true artist and I can't wait to see what he does next! Thanks man
The one with Dan Soder talking about his dad is one of my favorite podcasts of all time. Thank you for all of them though.
Soder rules!
Dan soder talked about his dad? No way! 😂
I was listening while going on a walk and I started straight up crying listening to the Soder episode. That was so good, just Soder candidly taking to his friend about his life and how he overcame was so genuine.
@@onedeep6460It was a little less humorous and more factual and cathartic I felt that episode. Not funny, just very sad at parts.
@@rawpower12xu naw, I understand all that. But that's part of the reason I gave up on the Bonfire. Seems every five minutes he's got to bring up 'his gary', comedicly or otherwise.
I've been listening to this for the last ten years. It's been great Ari, love you bro.
How could anything be as good as the State of the Union shows? Dave and you work so well together.
I hope they will continue doing those.
thank you for all the years, you got me through many shifts at work and late night trips home.
RIP Skeptic Tank!! Many thanks for So many great interviews and so many new comedians you introduced us to. Some favs: The multiple State of the Unions, Troll with Milo was amazing! Tim Crockett, Henry Rollins, Rolf Potts and Chuck P were favs too. Your easy interview style was excellent and will be missed. Ps - that story of the hit man on auyahuasca losing his mind and punching the ground is stuck in my head. Enjoy your summer!
Your pod can be with Kobe now
The Danish and O’Neill episodes were fantastic. If it wasn’t for Ari I would never have spent 10 bucks a month on the Beach Cops Patreon for the last 5 years.
Beach Cops is a wise investment if you’re in the market for big beef hoggers
One of the best podcasts ever. Thanks Ari. I'm going back to replay these you mentioned for sure
Legends never die
The only podcast that never lost its integrity thank you for the year of entertainment ari
Hahahaha. I love seeing my friends book all celebrities and no friends any more. #forthealgo
@@arishaffir just rename the show and keep doing your podcast your way. But Skeptic Tank was a fire name.
@@arishaffirWhat do you mean? All your friends just turned into those celebrities dummy. 🤷

Been here since the start.
I dont have a fav part.
I loved it all.
Thanks, Ari!
Nooo.... Its truly the end of an era. Thanks for the years of laughs and good casts Ari
It's dead like Kobe
RIP skeptic tank, thanks for all the entertainment! My favorite episode recently was Maryland episode with Sickler. Hilarious and it introduced me to old bay seasoning!
It's never not the right time for Old Bay
Lol. I can't say it introduced me but brought it back and I went out and purchased some next day. Now I'm putting Old Bay on everything.
Thanks for all the podcasts man! Enjoy the summer
Passed at the store, knifers, bonaroo with Norman, and the homeless episode will always stick out in my mind. Those immediately came to me when seeing this. Thank you for all the great content over the years!
I loved the Iceland and cock fight episodes. WILD stuff. Your approach to other cultures is superlative. Thank you Ari.
Iceland was so cool! Podcasting from in front of a geysir
Thank you for all the laughs
Rolf Potts hands down one of the best podcasts not just of Skeptic Tank but all time. So motivating. Makes your skin crawl with excitement to go travel and explore. Thanks for everything Ari
Glad to have caught some eps. Congrats on gettin it. Thanks for sharing. Safe travels
The one about getting passed at the Store was my favorite. But, they all had a bit of magic in them. Cheers Mr. Shaffir. Enjoy your summer🍻
I forgot about that one! Probably my hardest goal I ever achieved.
@Ari Shaffir yea you were super emotional. Really cool moment though. I'll miss the state of the union eps
my favorite episodes are the deep dives on all of the stand up specials. thank you ari.
Those are fun!
Ari your travel podcasts where you met people and talked with them were my favorites. I’m so grateful for the show and your work on it. I’ll miss getting new episodes, but mostly what I’ll miss is you man. RIP Skeptic Tank ❤
have a great summer off Ari . man how much my life has changed in that time , thanks for the inspiration and all you do , all is love man
Listening since the beginning. Ari you got me through a lot of bad days at crappy jobs, listening to your crazy stories and learning about how the comedy scene works. Thank you for all these years and keeping it real.
This is my favorite podcast hope to see you do more stuff in the future. Your traveling episodes got me excited to try solo travel and get out of my comfort zone.
Solo travel rules. So much freedom
Knife hits in Alaska with Soder and Bill Burr's episode about Boston Sports are two of my favorites. I listened to both of those many times over the years. Thanks Ari.
Thank you for the content ❤ been a listening for years.
thanks for all the years of great episodes. a lot of those episodes got me through some awful days delivering for amazon and then way back in my earlys years as a brand new funeral director
🤘❤️🔥
I'm actually uncomfortable with how much I love you Ari. It's just not right that at 50 I'm such a fan boy of the mayhem and wanderlust you inspire in me. Thanks for the whole run it was loads of fun and inspiration.
Thank you for all the amazing episodes!
I just loved hearing you figure out how to close the shows
Truly one of the best podcasts. Thanks for everything Ari! ❤❤
i'm in love with Ari's freedom in life! He shows no anxiety ever. Good for you Ari!
Love you dude. Will miss the podcast
😢later man thanks for the memories.
I’m genuinely saddened by this. But with who ari is, we know he’s going to do more amazing things. I’ve listened to every episode for 6 or so years. I was introduced to so many comics because of Skeptic Tank. Love you Ari. You’re the G.O.A.T.
The Sarah Tiana heartbreak ep was really beautiful. And the one with Donovan P… an example of a wonderfully entertaining, fascinating, talented, troubled, flawed, and ultimately decent human being who I will always be rooting for.
And that description applies to you too, Ari. Thank you.
your podcast helped get me through years of working at a grocery store, being an amazon driver, and then being a tow truck driver. incredible catalogue of great topics and guests! ive loved this podcast for a long time and i appreciate and connect the amount of work you put into it! i love you ari!
Thanks, bro, for all the years of great content my best moment from the pod is just you keeping it real and showing us a glimpse into the world of Ari and the many guests you have had over the years. thanks, and can't wait to see what's next from such a talented dude.
All good (and great) things must come to an end. I've been here since the Redban days, it's been a great ride.
Thanks for the many years of insight into different lives and topics. I especially enjoyed the ones on travel. If you decide to do another podcast in the future, please make it travel related, that would be awesome. I'm looking forward to seeing you on other people's podcasts in the future.
Right before the pandemic I helped Ari build a studio for the pod in NYC and even got a shout out on an episode. I'm just a fan who happened to live close and had skills to lend. I loved the pod and I'm super proud to have made a contribution to it.
Thanks for the countless hours of laughs and thoughts!
That's awesome.
That's sweet man
Thank you! Been listening and watching for years - great to get older with you (outside only).
Thanks for the endless hours of content Ari lots of great memories!
You're podcast was one of my favorites. Thanks for all the laughs over the years. A stand out episode for me was the interview with the 9/11 first responder. I look forward to whatever you do next. Chaos reigns!
yeah, that one was aweseme. Italians really are the worst of the whites.
On to bigger and better things. Keep making comedy specials like 'Jew' and you will be another Dangerfield. No lie, that was one of the best specials I've seen and I've seen them all. Respect!
Agreed
So true, it was fantastic.
Nothing but love for this podcast and all the people that made it and were a part of it. Thank you Ari, this was a cool thing to experience.
I literally just started watching
Brilliant! Thank you for introducing me to Jessa Reed, speaking with Henry Rollins, Duncan Trussell, Tim Dillon and so many more ❤
One of my favorite moments was when you were remembering Ralphie May shortly after his death…… that entire episode was great. The state of the union episodes were always amazing..
Long live Ralphie. He was with us longer than he should have been.
@@arishaffir - HA! what a masterful ending… One of the last of a dying breed of true punk-rock comedians… I love you 🤙

Its crazy how underrated this show was ari will still be one of the goats
This podcast will be missed.
one of the things i always liked about the podcast is that the questions always got better as the podcast continued. you were great and it started when there wasn't that many. ahhhhhhhhhhh the good ol days many. thank you ari......
This podcast is one of my favorites since isnarted listening to podcasts 12 years ago.
It's my mental health balancer, my getaway at work, my learning tool for something new, introducing me to new comics and professionals, my friend in a lonely time. I really can't say enough about how much this podcast has meant. I'm sincerely very sad about it leaving, I hope the episodes will still be accessible, but, either way, thank you Ari Shaffir.
Thank you for being so curious and being one of my hero comedians.
Goddamn, Ari. That was a perfect ending episode. The first episode I heard your podcast was when I was fighting my way out of the religion of my birth. I was in my mid 30’s, then I stumbled across your podcast with Kurt Metzger. I looked it up; episode 24. It helped to hear other people telling their story of out growing belief was helpful. Then hearing Ronnie tell that closing Fez story. I was holding back tears because I had a feeling a punchline was coming. “Then he didn’t die!” Thanks for all these. Also, Jew is a masterpiece.
I was introduced to Ari (Airy) through the Big 3 Podcast. My favorite skeptic tank has to be the one with Don Barris where they discuss road rage. Loved hearing how Ari, knowing Don has little patience while driving, would intentionally antagonize him if he spotted him out on the road.
He would get so mad! It was hilarious!
