It’s not as scary as the time I was at my gfs house. I shidded so hard it broke the toilet, so I snuck out the window. They told my family, and sued to get repairs. All my college funding wasted

Who gets dragged 2 miles away in their sleep.. and doesnt wake everyone up when they get back, from almost being killled... to at the very least ask everyone WTF? And tell them what happened?

A relative of mine dragged an unconscious person just a short path to drive them to a hospital. His wounds from the dragging were actually worse than whatever caused him to faint!
The clothing he wore was also trash afterwards.
It's not surprising that dragging people by horse or cars is a form of execution! (and quite a painful one and a humiliation to the relatives that get a mangled body back)

Thats what i was thinking. I think that story is BS. Seriously u get dragged 2 miles away, have rocks thrown at you and make it back to camp and dont say a word n just watch your friend sleep n say nothing?? NO WAY! You'd be screaming as soon as you saw your camp, wake everyone n pack up n get the F*ck out of there.

I was actually dragged off my bed and didnt wake up I mean I opened my eyes slightly and could hear but I was still asleep I didnt remember until the next day when I woke up on the floor I went to my brother and said why the heck did you pull me off the bed he looked at me strange and said no I didn't. Then the memories hit me and I remember seeing something dressed in white pull me off the bed I can still see it now in my mind like 13 years later but and I could hear myself hitting the floor but not feeling it but within seconds going back to full sleep

My family lives in a townhouse. A few years ago, me and my mom heard a sound coming from the woods behind the neighborhood... screaming. Like a child in horrific pain. My mom frantically called 911, and stuck the phone out the window so that the operator could hear the sound too.
    "Ma'am... that's a fox."
Foxes sound like they crawled right out of Hell, but don't worry, you get used to it.

I personally don't mind the woods as long as you have someone with you. When I was kid in South Carolina I was playing in the woods and learned a valuable lesson. I stopped and took a step and the forest floor caved in under my foot and I fell backwards. If I would have fell forward I would have fell into an old well that was covered with leaves and rotten boards. My father told the land owner and he had it filled with gravel and concrete. He was grateful we found it.

Anyone else get the feeling the first story was a dream, I know its usually an easy way to explain away some stories, but for this one I think it makes sense. For example, most stories where the protagonist ends up in the same place where they fell asleep would suggest this, also how they didn't try to wake their friends or mention seeing any drag marks in the morning. Still enjoyed the story though.

Can't wait to hear those stories your looking for... love all your stories.
As for delilah, understandable why you don't visit your mom, but on the other hand I think you should explain to her why you don't. I'm pretty sure its hard enough that she lost your father but to lose you as well has got to be just as hard to her as it was for you losing your father. If she doesn't believe you, at least you told her, and she can also be aware of the dangers around her. I would tell her asap, better late then never.....

Fast forward 10 years and I was visiting family and walked across the street to the same woods I got lost in at 10. Well.. entire stretch of woods was maybe 150 yards long and maybe 100 yards deep. Road on both sides and pasture on each end. But to a 10 yr old that was a forrest. Lol

Had recently read a Missionary account of Native American "legends". Early 1800's? Can't remember . He was contacting a superior. One of the "legends " was about the giants that lived in the mountains nearby. They would come into their camps at night and take food. Threw rocks at them. Sometimes they would wake up at night in the woods and have no memory of how they got there.

Goat man demon sounds to me like Pan-- the spirit of the woods in Greek mythology, the demiurge, the old god who caused fear for the laughter, but he did not hurt you-- only your fear could make you harm yourself (if the narrator had stayed out long enough for hypothermia).
Pan is where our word panic comes from.
