That was a great video one of the best in terms of advice and direct information and very straight forward without any fluff. I have seen lots of video about career paths on UA-cam and this is probably the best. I wish there was part 3 😁
I want to get a job as a CSM but I don't know how to get this kind of job. do I need experience in certain products? I have previously worked as a Partner Operations specialist so I have experience in interacting with Partners, Distributors, Customers. Helping them in any issue that they might have, usually before submitting an order. But sometimes even after submission. I would create and deliver trainings, do presentations for them to inform about enhancements, etc. Would this be a good fit to continue my career as a CSM? Everywhere I apply they keep rejecting me. Or they require that you already have 2+ years experience as a CSM. But how can someone gain that experience if no one gives you a chance to learn. I'm absolutely sure I would do a good job.
Do you know if it s a good stepping stone into product management role down the line or it s just not really a good strategy to get there ? ( i have a strong sales background outside software / services industries and really want to get into product management down the line )

Very informative and useful thank you for sharing!
Wondering if you can share the uncertainties the director had about you and how you tackled them? TIA
