Great Job! Glad you mentioned about washing the Lava rock. I just about put Lava rock straight into my filter build because the site I saw never mentioned that Lava rock as well as other types of rock are very dirty. The Lava rock that I washed put off a TON of red mud and other debris. But my filter works fairly well. My pump isn't too strong, the best I could do for a poor man, and my pool for the ducks is about half the size you show, and the rented place where we live is not very big, however for virtually nothing I think I've done pretty well. How do you get ducks to be friendly as our duck are terrified of us, they have been since we got them as babies. We need to find a way to catch them so we can trim their wings now. We live and learn.

Define friendly? They tolerate us being in the pen area with them but will not let us pet them. It is so relaxing to watch them play.

We don’t have a list from the original duck pond setup but we are redoing it and will have a parts list for everything for this one.
How do you determine filter size for a given number of ducks?
I pretty much guessed at it! I am working on a new system as we moved the ducks to a different part of the farm.

Yes but we think it can be better. We are currently redoing our setup and plan to do things a little different this time.
