My review on some rare and exclusive Japanese made Oliver Peoples.
• Oliver Peoples Review-...
I bought Ovvo last year. Great brand.
Mykita should be there
Great review! I have a pair of IC Berlin (steel) and Lindberg (titanium) -Both are amazing in style, quality, and super light weight
Hey guys. Great vid.
I have two pair of OVVO's
(Matthew & Stratus) absolutely favorite glasses I've ever owned. Enjoy them daily & never had any issues.
The Lindbergs are great. I have the Titanium Rims and would never go back to standard frames again.
Definitely give Lindberg Thintanium a try. It's even better than rim, In my option. I should review it soon.
Also Mykita would be good choice as it roots with ic berlin. Also thank you for introducing ovvo. Didn't know there was a brand in America with screwless design
When I get a chance I’m coming to visit your location I want some Lindbergs and Ic Berlins
Always love my lindberg air titanium rim morten.
Hi joker, have your tried the new Lindberg Thintanium? It's like a elevated version of the rim. It's great
I had two pair of ic berlin break. They replaced it once, the second time i had to pay $260 for the front half that holds the lenses. Under their dead twitter page, there is a pinned tweet with a lot of pic from people with the same breaking point. I still love 'em but am having a hard time deciding if I want to pay for new lenses if they will just break a 3rd time.
I definitely would NOT buy a BMW if I wanted my car to last a lifetime, lol. Maybe they lasted in the past but nowadays they’re known for being overengineered and expensive to maintain, something you lease and get rid of when the lease is up. A better comparison would probably be Lexus.
Overengineered means that it exceeds a specification, is that a bad thing? and BMW are not making long life claims as they leave that to other people
I've been hearing a bit about the ic berlins falling apart a lot. Do you have any knowledge of that? $500 for just the frame is a lot for glasses that fall apart easily
hi nicky, my family business, the mott optical group, has been selling ic Berlin for years. We probably sell about a thousand pairs fo IC berlin a year, and from experience, they do not fall apart easily and customers find a lot of value in the technology and design for the price. The temples have a way to snap off, but the beauty of the design is that it can snap back on easily with the proper technique. Thanks for the question
My ovvo leg/temple comes off… can someone please let me know how to reattach…?
I have Lindberg NOW and has a bent hinge and cannot find anyone to fix it. The Lindberg optic shop went out of business and became Oliver People's store at our mall. I am wondering if you can put up a video to show how to fix the hinge that is out of alignment. I paid so much money on this glass frame, I am afraid to take it to any untrained person or myself
Where do you live? Usually authorized lindberg dealers can fix that
Can the nose piece on ic! Berlin frames be adjusted to fit?
yes, definitely. We adjust them all the time at Mott Optical Group stores. If you are in NYC, come visit or you can find a local optician to adjust it for you.
I have -6 prescription. Would rimless works for me?
Yes, just make sure you get high-index super thin lens.
hey i own a pair of screwless glasses and now i cant figure out how to tighten them. They're lose now.
any idea how to fix them?
If you still need help ovvo actually has a video on how to tighten the arms yourself. I had to do it, super easy. Took less than five minutes once I was used to getting them reattached.
What sizes fit asians
Hi edwin, these frames do come with nosepads so they all will fit asian noses pretty well. I will do a video on asian eyewear soon so stay tuned!
i suggest a hair cut will be more presentable. No offence.
Ha! Yah it was a video i did during covid where all the hair solans were closed. Thanks for the suggestion
Not very nice - his hair is fine.
