Fix You and The Scientist were the two songs that legitimately KEPT ME ALIVE as they were playing around the time my father passed away. They break me and mold me every single time along with "Father" by Demi Lovato.
My dad passed on September 19, 2009 and still think of him every day. Actually dreamt of him few days ago. Its been years since the last and wasn't sure id ever dream of him again. It feels real for that short time period.
When my 17 year old son died a British soldier pen pal sent me this song cause I was really struggling...thank you so much Jayy for sharing a little piece of who you are... I can see how much it means to you as well... I just wanna give you a big hug and wipe away your tears...🖖🏻🇨🇦😢
This song helped me get myself out of a very toxic relationship. It holds a special place for me. It really made me realize I couldn’t fix him and I deserved better.

The band's lead singer, Chris Martin, wrote the song for his then wife Gwyneth Paltrow when her father died. They have since "consciously uncoupled", aka divorced.
I've heard this song a dozen times -- it's my favorite Coldplay song -- but I've never cried to it before this. A combination of seeing you tear up, Jayy, and hearing the crowd singing along at the end... that did it. Thank you for posting this.
Now you know why I am in Love with Coldplay.....such beauty in message and lyrics. Such talented musicians. And every time I see or hear Chris Martin......the lead singer...I cry. They are the gods of Rock n' Roll of Old...today. Certainly one of my All-time favorite bands!!! Listen to Coldplay's "Fly On."

Amazing Song! Amazing Band! Amazing Voice!! I was at the concert that you see in this video. It was shot at the Reebok Football Stadium in Bolton, UK. They did the song twice to get two different takes. Amazing memories 🙂
This song reminds me of my wife who left me after 15 years as she said she was unhappy so I can't help but feel like I wish I could of fixed what was broken.
It’s truly amazing how music can bring us all together by connecting through songs that touch our hearts. Simply WONDERFUL Jayy!! I really needed to hear this today! This song, "I will fix you" is such a tough song imo, your so glad to go for that comfort song when you're happy cause your insides wants to fix other ppl hurting but when you yourself is hurting you don't want that help but this song also helps at the sametime. Such a lovely band and song.
Very powerful song. For some reason the first time I heard it it didn't really resonate with me, but then a mate told me to listen to it and I did and I was just blown away. The start of the bridge until the end of the song is one of the most euphoric pieces of music I've ever heard. Still gives me goosebumps. Took my mums clothes into a charity shop after she died in my arms, possibly the worse time for this record to come on. I fought so hard to hold back my emotions, had to kneel down to pretend I was looking at something, was Christmas time too. Sometimes you need music to break you down, its a natural release.
to those who recently lost someone you loved most, i just want to say its ok to lose someone in your life even tho it hurt so bad and want it back, its alright. let the memories about you and someone you once loved will always be remembered and keep remind it to yourself that the person you missed will never coming back and start move on. if that person comes back to you in "damaged" condition, its your oportunity to fix it, but if it never comes back then find the new one but first you need to *fix yourself* until you're ready to find or accepting the new one. Good luck! ❤

I have, on a few occasions felt so down and alone. There have always been reasons for me not to go down the path of serious contemplation of suicide, but I've come close on a couple of occasions. During one such time in the not too distant past, the Simon and Garfunkel song "Bridge Over Troubled Water" used to turn on the waterworks for me... mostly because I desperately wished I had someone in my life who would sing those words to me:
(the first two verses, in particular):
When you're weary, feeling small
When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all, all
I'm on your side, oh, when times get rough
And friends just can't be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
When you're down and out
When you're on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you
I'll take your part, oh, when darkness comes
And pain is all around
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
