Daron is more serious in interviews lately, it's just a different side of him, which is fine. Scars rocks! I didn't like them very much at first, but my brother seemed to love them so I gave them a second chance, and I now I love them very much too! It's a shame that they have broken up :(
SOAD stands for System of a Down, the lead singer of this band is Serj tankian, the guitar player and mostly song writer is Daron malakian, after 2006 SOAD enter into a state of hiatus and Tankian went to make his own solo album "Elect the Dead" while Malakian created another band named Scars on Broadway
I also hope they come back, right now Malakian cancelled and pretty much finished Scars, Tankian is preparing his second album, Shavo is with Achozen, and Johnny must be in comic con or something, I belive there would come the point when they see the fans really need them, and all the stuff in the internet,,, they will sit down and do an amazing new record, you know with all the shit combined, and there will be a great come back.
Personally, I think this turned out better not having Serj involved, if you listen to his latest album, you might see the direction he wanted to pull the band into. Daron's the most rocking one in the band.

I am fan enough to buy it, but it hasn't come to india yet so i just downloaded it, and i don't think that one needs a booklet, you can easily tell that daron's the only one singing. I'm not too sure about Exploding/Reloading though, i think there's a track with a different vocalist on that one.
ok, I think we all want SOAD back ofcourse. I mean, think of Serj having a verse in They Say and Daron's voice in the background of Serj's song Empty Walls. It would be way better, but as you know. We can't control their minds and tell them what to do. I mean, It would be awsome if System could come back together but, they have to do what they want and forefill their dreams, not just do what we want. And Scars is'nt that bad. And Serj's Solo album is great, but as I say. It could be better.
Oh, now that is very very intresting... when daron says, at around 1:30, that scars is a natural progression from system, but how he feels that they are "moving forward, not backwards with this band". I dont think he was happy with where system was going, very intresting.

There were musical differences between all of the members of the band and Serj. And there were also political differences. Daron and the drummer are both more conservative. And if you listen to the Serj's last album, it's overly political. And sorry, but the new Scars on Broadway album rocks way more than anything Serj is doing lately. Elect The Dead was damn good
when are they gonna come back, could be next year, in three years, what I know for sure is that IF by 2015 there is no announcement of their return there is not going to be such a thing, why? 2015 is 10 fucking years after their last record and the 100th anniversary of the armenian genocide, I tell´ya if this guys haven´t come back by then WE ARE DOOMED!

Sorry Daron... but no Scars is not a step forward from system.... System is uncomparable to anything.. Daron, Serj, Scars, FCC - anything. The combined power of four guys going crazy.. It's just unbeatable.
