Joochan is a rare talent. It's really unfortunate that they make him as a boyband member. They just waste his talents to the max. If he follows his track to be an indie artist he can be the next Jung Seunghwan, Dean or K.Will. He can explore more of his musical abilities without worry. He has the ability to hit many ranges and his vocal color suits every music genres. Like this, this song is difficult to sing many technique needed and he nailed it perfectly. But when watching him singing with his group they just using his flexible pitch as a benchmark for low pitch to high pitch so other members can follow according to their own range. His agency is really clever at using his vocal range at its max without being obvious. If you listen to Golden Child songs, Joochan's parts always require him to hit the lowest pitch until the highest pitch but mostly all of us didn't notice it until he is absent on performing. When he is not performing his parts will distributed to many members according to their vocal range, but they still can't cover all the pitch perfectly. Because he is in a group it would sound a bit selfish when he shows more of his abilities as a soloist, so that's why I said it's really unfortunate for him to stuck as a boyband member. What a waste of amazing talents.
That's right. We can't deny that he is a great singer. Sadly in K-Pop when you are a member of a group it will be hard to going all out as an individual, especially at junior year even if your talent is more than enough to go solo. The main obstacle is mostly fans. K-Pop fans are complicated. If he is an indie singer it would be easier. I hope for his brighter future as a singer and musician. People shouldn't waste his talents.

@@ruthlovegood544 Actually no. On his solo interview he said he is not interested in idol or being an idol. He was studying music and instruments to become a musician. Woollim recruit him to join the company when he and his band performed at a concert. Among all companies that gives him business card, he chose Woollim because they approached him first. He also said at that time he didn't know that they'll debut him as an idol. His music style is different from Golden Child or Kpop in general. So I as his fan also feel sorry for him, because he can't make music like he used to. And sometimes I also feel sad because everytime he gets the chance to show himself, Golden Child fans will complain and treat him as Woollim's favorite. The situation is really difficult.
Yuu Miii he was 18 at debut, the fact that he stay and eventually make a debut should mean something. he work so hard to be with golden child and because of the group we can see everything bout him from his talent to his dumber side and as a fan i appreciate everything that he do. You might prefer him to be solo but i think its too harsh to say that is unfortunate he was doing what he do now. Just because he did not hit big YET does not mean he is wasting his talent all this while. We saw him grow so much already and who knows he will continue to do so and eventually following sunggyu path. golden child is a sweet group and we know they are a super active lurker in every social media, this kind of comment can put huge pressure on them.
