Sorry for the late reply. I doubt it, veld (Grass) fires are common during winter in South Africa. If the grass doesn't burn then it doesn't regrow as well.

Didn't like the music, but nice-looking design. These kinds of drones will probably be catching on more and more due to their range and endurance advantage over normal quad copters. They're also quieter operating in fixed wing mode. Imagine flying in an area with thermals and updrafts that let you use this as a glider.

i bet it costs over 100k. because it's gonna be marketed towards government and police entities. who have tax dollars to spend. when really, there's no more that 300 bucks worth of parts and materials in that thing total.

actually there is about $3000-$4000 worth of parts in that UAV. I have built a similar type of aircraft.

This one starts at 95k, so you're in the ballpark. It has a 900km coverage (not range, so half it?) and 1.5kg capacity. They make a larger one (The Reach) with 7kg capacity, 1800km coverage, 6 meter wing span and starts at 295k (S. African rand?). Bit spendy, but it's not for home hobbyist.
