This video calls into question, the balance between decent results weighed against the massive amount of potentially toxic waste generation and self harm. I can’t get my head around the amount of dust from invasive power tool wood annihilation that occurred. I realize that carving, woodworking and even stone sculpture are subtractive processes but geeez folks…. Is it worth the effort for this type of project?

You might not know this, but you can hold that router down and take the excess off and if you did that with the excess, you wouldn’t have to sand as much. Now, if you’re using that technique for a certain look that I’m not aware of because I have no experience carving whatsoever then keep doing your thing, not criticizing just trying to give a helpful tip.
