- In case anyone is confused this is a reference to the Taboritsky ending of the mod "The New Order"
This is a reupload of a video i made on my personal channel, i didn't expect the video to get any views but it got around 15k so i figured i might aswell post it on my timelapse channel.
It's not a timelapse so i don't know if it's a good idea to move it here but since it's themed after a Hoi4 mod it might be easier to find with the algorithm or watever.
The bitrate of the video keept being lowered on youtube side so i decided to upload it in 4K, it's not real 4K but the quality is far better than my previous 1080p upload
I used movies that i had on my hard drive, i didn't keep track of what movies i used then because i didn't expect many peoples would view the video.
So i'm 99% sure thoses are the movies i used, but keep in mind it's just from memory so i might be wrong on somes

As an Orthodox Christian ☦ myself, Taboritsky is one of the most horrifying things that can happen to an nation, in many ways Taboritsky makes Himmler look good.
I just imagine a daily life in Holy Russia:
You wake up to the sounds of sirens at 7:00 (7 is a holy number), you had a deep sleep and were wondering about the past, your name was originally Boris, but after your baptism your name got replaced by the name of a saint (happens in the orthodoxy), to the sounds of sirens repeating the teachings of the Bible, government soldiers dressed with icons and priests go to the home across the street to bless it with holy water and set it aflame, he wasn't a true believer apperantly, you know they're lying, he was born and raised as a holy man, he would always clean the church, you eat your breakfast and you go to a massive church located at the center of every village and city, those who refuse to pray are dragged into churches, baptized, and then shot after the prayer is done, you go to work as an engineer and you are constantly being observed by watchtowers, the watchtowers are covered in banners depicting the Icon of Saint George, slaying a dragon/demon, you have a strict 8 hour mandatory work time, the few breaks you have are specifically so you can pray for Alexei to return.
After an exhaustive day, you finally go home, you must pray, that's the only thing you can do anyways, tomorrow a bunch of priests come over to your home, they sprinkle you with holy water and then they say "Go forth servant of Christ, your country calls" before you know it you're on a truck full of soldiers, you are terrified, but also relieved to know that this once great nation is in a war, the germans aren't THIS bad, turns out you aren't in a war, you are left in a village in the middle of Siberia alongside some other young men, your duty? To "cleanse" the village, the screams of men, women, children fill your ears, you are the only one not shooting, you notice a man wearing a special uniform, decorated with various icons from shoulder to shoulder, before you realize his gun is pointed at your head, "Blessed are the meek" he whispers, he isn't a believer, but he has a job to do in order to survive, you look eachother in the eye and a silent bond is formed not a single word is spoken but his soul is screaming "I'm sorry"

I am actually running a roleplaying game of Mage the Ascension for my Friday game group, they are playing as Mercs under Werbell and eventually The Holy Russian Empire is going to invade the East and they have no idea about this mod and its insane lore.
Crazy to think how a few paradox mods put to shame the settings of some books, like Man in the High Castle just feel kinda cringe to me now that i played TNO.
Also, lookup "Bob Denard" on wikipedia. The guy was a french merc during the 60's and 70's, really worth a read. Might be usefull in your game.

I wouldn't know how to tbh, since for this one i had a clear idea of what to do when i started (using the quotes from the clock). It just happend that i was watching the chernobyl show when playing the clock run for the first time.
I could try, but not soon since i started editing timelapses. Not ruling it out tho, osmk was my first TNO run and i kinda want to play it again. Maybe when i come back at playing TNO i could make another one if i get an idea in my mind.

The song combined with strong imagery of War-Settings, Chernobyl-HBO cuts and the lmage of what I assume most be Jesus Christ at almost the end there really brings something new thought on TNO lore & the whole setting of it.

Obviously, heavy spoilers below: for anyone just passing by the vid. Do not read this comment unless you want to be spoiled about Taboritsky.
The Clockworks is Taboritsky's key mechanic.
Fundamentally, it's a metaphorical clock that represents Taboritsky's growing awareness that something is not right: that things are not working out, that there's holes in his self-constructed narrative of divine purpose. Things that reassure Taboritsky of his purity of purpose, where his plans work as expected, or things seem working properly, slow down the clock, as he grows more reassured and more sure about his madness. On the opposite, things going wrong, unintended consequences, his plans not working(and given who he is, they often don't), and his enraged, increasingly extreme decisions speed it up, as the dissociation between what his madness expects should happen and what happens in reality starts giving rise to a subtle, horrifying awareness.
The clock can be slowed down, but it cannot be stopped. And when it strikes midnight, as it inevitably will, it represents Taboritsky's fundamental realization that Tsarevich Alexei, the exiled prince who Taboritsky dedicated his entire life to find and restore, is long dead- that everything he did was for a lie, and his work was an ultimate and total failure. The shock and horror of the realization kills him on the spot, and with the Regent gone silent, his empire of nightmares fall apart.

As Technic said it's from The Eight Hundred, a chinese movie. The first half of this movie amazing, later on the film become the basic war stuff but it's still really cool if you are interested in the asian side of ww2
