2016 Hyundai veloster turbo DCT transmission problem

Was driving down the freeway when the transmission failed. Tried to accelerate but it was slushish and would not shift. Pulled over to see what was wrong and the transmission wont shift or move the car at all except in reverse.

Just replace the clutch actuator is one in the top and is another one in the bottom you can replace it your self is the way I fixed

This was a common issue on older versions of DCT. Their crankshaft position sensor was faulty. It's quite easily accessible and visible from underneath the car, next to the gearbox fluid plug. No mechanical fault here, more of electric issue.

i have had 2 DCT transmissions replaced & 3 flywheels on my 2016 VT

How many miles did your first transmission have on it before it went out and after all that how is your car running now, or did you get rid of it.

@@MrBigbowser11 first one replaced at 37k miles. the second one replaced at 68k miles & I currently have 92k miles now. no issues yet, but it seems every 30k miles or so with my car the tranny has gone. I kinda feel like its gonna happen soon again.

Too Gq For You im starting to have the same problem the transmission vibrates when i put it on reverse and brake slowly did it that with you guys? Does the ten year warranty covers it?

Take it to the dealer. You may have warranty on the transmission

The DCT is a automatic transmission even tho technically a DCT is two manuals being used as an automatic so they tend to have problems
