paimon being the original god would be SO satisfying. it makes sense if you look at what happened to Rukkhadevata when she used all her power to defeat the effects of forbidden knowledge. She SHRUNK! It could explain why Paimon is now child sized and doesn’t recall what happened to her. She has a crown, she clearly is meant to rule something

thematically it would be fitting if Paimon was all we were lookign for all along, but I think shes the catalyst we needed instead to get to the heavens.
You may have noticed that self sacrifice disturbs her. When someones trying to sacrifice themselves for the greater good she always some how argues along the side of "there's gotta be another way". Perhaps she has connections to the 3rd descender then?
to my understanding, the first and second who came actually came to an agreement to co rule, but presumably with the primogod having been weakened and with new terms (never returned to enkanomiya).
I wanna assume that this is because their cycle came to an end prematurely bc of the 2nd who came, and to bring them back up could spell something detrimental to the new cycle after them.
anyway i rambled too far off the mark. in conclusion, Paimon might have direct relations with the 2nd or 3rd who came. Her clothes have little harmony with the Unknown God
I also believe that there was some kind of 'data corruption' on Irminsul regarding Lumine wasn't labeled as the descender by the Fatui. Consider: What if they inquire about Rukkhadevata existence past act 5 Sumeru? The Irminsul will say "There's no such entry", but that wasn't the truth as far as we, as traveller, had experienced.

Off topic but In enkanomiya, the quest of the dragons and the snakes room that you go to talk to the afterimage for the quest is similar to the room where you find caterpillar in through the looking glass if not exactly the same. That looking glass quest was really interesting especially at the end with the talking dog that asks us to leave, I wish that quest went on a little longer. Also In that place from through the looking glass, is that the abyss? Im a little confused about that because caterpillar was losing his memory

@GenshinGamer999 I just randomly went to the book in Fontaine after the Looking Glass quest and the Melusine was still missing, we go on to find her and she’s losing her memory. She said that the Traveler is a huge monster that can swallow the world and there’s multiple of her. I’m not down a rabbit hole and looking all over this game for clues 😅

I think what Venti and the Traveler stated near the beginning of the game still holds true. This isn't a matter of right and wrong.
So far all the major events are self inflicted, ghosts of a past. There may not be a grand villain, just a very hurt world, because they are either dead or have taken themselves out.
Theory on Gnosis:
When Skirk asked Neuvilette about the remains on the 3rd descender which then was explained that it was a gnosis, I suspect the 3rd descender is still alive. I believe that the gnoses are tools that seal the 3rd descender. Since the 3rd descender was very powerful, sealing him was the only way. To make the 3rd descender never rise again, Celestia created an archon war to find the strongest 7 elemental entities to protect the gnoses and have it spread out across nations. They made the archons believe that the gnosis was a reward of power for having a seat of the seven. During the Sumeru archon quest, Nahida threatened Dottore of breaking the gnosis and awaken the Heavenly Principles, which could be a hint that breaking a gnosis would mean releasing a part of the 3rd descender into Teyvat and make the Heavenly Principles take action. The Tsaritsa’s goals of collecting the gnosis might be a way to defeat Celestia or the Heavenly Principles. Breaking a gnosis would give attention to Celestia and might disrupt the plans of the Tsaritsa. Taking the gnosis in each nation must be done as quietly as possible. In the future, with the advancements of the Fatuis Machinations and Technology, the 3rd descender might return OR maybe the Tsaritsa will fuse herself with all the gnosis and make her as powerful as the 3rd descender. The Tsaritsa might do what Scaramouche did on Sumeru, but now with 7 gnosis. Who knows? That’s my little theory.

Only in Inazuma the Gnosis went to the weaker and more pacifistic of the twins. Barbatos wasn't more powerful than Boreas, Boreas yielded for the sake of humans. Egeria also doesn't sound like some warlord. What the archons have in common is love for humanity.
There's a popular theory that Teyvat is project "Arc" from Honkai Impact 3rd. Could be a sort of simulation or something. Teyvat means boat, specifically an "Arc" type of boat like Arc Noah. So I think the connection between Teyvat and project "Arc" from Honkai Impact 3rd is no coincidence. The Fatui is like human trying to break free from the matrix.
HI3 arc right now is going around Project Ark, and so far there are zero references in it toward Teyvat.

I think that Lumine is the 3rd descender, and the Lumine we meet in game isnt the actual Lumine. Now I'm not sure that that copy Lumine knows this but this is my theory until proven other wise. Either this or that Tevat is in a time loop and when Tevat looped Lumine got implemented into the system of Tevat, and the loop we woke up for the first time with Lumine, that was actually the previous loop of Tevat
Edit: I forgot to state that the fight between the twins and the Unknown god took place in an area outside the realm of Tevat. After the fight was done, Lumine was cast down to tevat where she made her journey and when the world looped her actions were recorded in Irminsul. This is where a clone might have taken her place and the Unknown god took her powers and stuff for the gnosis. The clone being from tevat would be affected by changes to Irminsul. I hope this clears up any confusion and remember

after you finish the world quest: narzissenkreutz, go back to the ordo via the book theres 2 texts left by rene himself from before he transformed that are interesting, one on the nature of what a descender is, and what he believed visions do when you acquire them.
I firmly believed that collecting all these gnosis has something to do with the sky. Perhaps what's lie beyond the sky is an actual sky that contains heavenly principle's residual. And tell me if I'm wrong but Nahida did mention that destroying gnosis will awaken the heavenly principles, which is kinda funny because they don't even try to intervene when Fatui need only 1 gnosis left to rebel against them but somehow will take matter into hands when 1 of it was destroyed. Perhaps each gnosis represents law, rather 'law' that the heavenly principles rule over, and destroying it causes them to lose authority of one of the law (that is destroyed). They did say Teyvat has it's own 'laws'.
Let's not forget that khaenriah still exists is just in ruins and sealed.

Is it possible that one if not our biggest enemy, the Fatui, are actually our biggest ally? Celestia recognized the threat of the third descender (likely our sibling) and sacrificed them to create the wardens and the abyss are an external force just like the Fatui who assuming that the third descender is our sibling, revived them to help them regain their strength for when the day comes to fight back? Then, who is Skirk and her master? Are the shades on celestias side but Columbina only became a fallen angel for disobeying celestia, thus joining the Fatui?
Something tells me that, the moment we meet the Tsaritsa, the traveler and Paimon will believe her to be some evil corrupt leader, but she actually turns out to be someone pure, one of the strongest beings who slipped past the cracks and desires to bring back Teyvat to the way it used to be before the heavenly principle arrived. She may be powerful, but maybe she isn't evil after all.
What if... they are trying to revive the third descender? Do they know who it is? Perhaps they believe that the third descender and ultimately the forth descender, are destined to save Teyvat. That is how we always believe it would end, but perhaps, they are misguided. They do not know who the third one is, but they intend to do something different and it's a race for time for the traveler to reach the Tsaritsa, figure out on their own who the third one is and thus revive them.
I always love your videos, very interesting and enlightening. There's just one part that always throws me off for a few seconds: when you say Lumine when you in fact mean the abyss twin. I play as Lumine so I always start interpreting it as the traveler and when if finally clicks in my head I need to rewind back a few seconds to follow your train of thoughts again. I can't be the only one. Could you consider saying the abyss twin instead (or any other appropriate term in context really)? I know it can get ingrained in your mind and it's not easy to change the way you address someone or something so no biggie if you don't. I'll still enjoy watching your analyses and theories anyway, keep 'em coming!

Hmm your theory is very reasonable and worth pondering but about the traveler i think his/her role into this is a bit deeper since we know in Neuvillettes ascension it stated that he would regain back his dragonhood or original power and authority we should also consider the travelers which says something like the creator has not yet come the sustainer is passing away but the world shall burn no more for you shall ascend based on this alone it feela like the travelers role overthrowing or defeating the sustainer Will be significant or key

What if paimon is the vessel for resurrection or the physical remains from the 3rd Descender that lost her power because all of her power turned into gnosis?
But I do think that the both twin that fall into the abyss and fall into teyvat is like the two key that should be turned together to activate a nuke. Which means, they're the key needed for that to be engaged.

Relating all the gnosis as keys that unlock another dimension makes it seem like the princess' gems for the Enchiridion from AT.
So there is proof that the archons know what Paimon really is, they take precautions to shield Paimon in many cutscenes. Watch again and you will see it it is very intentional, to make sure that she is not hurt by accident in any way. This bolster the idea that the Archons KNOW what Paimon was once upon a time, and that she travels with possible the strongest force in Theyvat right now, is the best security she can get. There is a slight possiblity that The Sustainer is Lumines fate, and that She is stopping her younger self from committing the mistake that corrupts her. The Melusines call Paimon Big-Sis this is almost certainly a clue to her real identity. See if the Melusines were created by experimenting with Primordial water, they are sentient beings of Primordial water thus they would recognize Paimons true origin or her "token". Tokens work very similar to visions and might even be the idea behind them. It is also stated that the Melusines see fate very different, they in fact refer to the traveller as a devouring monster. This could ultimately lead to a real split between Paimon and the Traveller at the end. See if the traveller is Lucifer, he was famous of seducing divinity into making immoral actions once Paimon understands her role in the story she might feel betrayed at the end.
Phanes and the 2nd who came worked together to make the Gnoses. So IDK if they fought to begin with, but they definitely didn't kill each other.

I personally dont think the prison is ruled by Second who came. We have several hints already pointing that Primordial one actually won the war but was severely injured. If you sheck Neuvillette character stories it says also that after the war of vengence the usurper (PM) lost the ability to control the world and them and the one who came after (this is the name of 3rd descender since it goes like this. PM- the second who came- the one who came after (after the second ig) -then us) united to create gnosis to regain the control. This fits sonce we know that the gnosises were created from the remains of 3rd descender who mosy likely sacrificed themself in order to do so. This makes me think that the second who came has to be of same origin or at least from same place as Primordial one since it is called the war of vengence.. (and i dont really think they talk about the dragon war because that war was war of conquering over teyvat and dragons never rebelled or sought vengence they just lost and in the process the PM gained the original control over the world that was later shook by second who came) 🤔🤔

The thing is that we don't know how much time before us the abyss twin woke up. And in my opinion they didn't know we where sommoned with them in the first place. And when they found us that's where they understood there was a plot of some kind... but that's just me and my brain....

I don't think original god refers to The Primordial One. We have to remember the Primordial One was an alien invader who came down and defeated all of the dragon sovereigns that lived there before. They took over Teyvat and established Celestia. There has to be another god, beyond the fake sky that is not The Primordial One, but the original creator of Teyvat.
This. Phanes is not an original god, so it makes no sense. Especially considering the gnosis’ were made by the usurper and the one who followed- that fits Phanes description seeing as the archons who have the gnosis’ are under him.
What if that blow the traveler did behind her back really took the wind out of her but she just didn’t show it.

For now, the better candidate to be the abyssal God and the SINNER points out to be Nibelung. He is the first one we see going out for darkness power, and we know the battle against him almost destroyed the world. He lost, making it plausible to be chained and buried in the deepest part of the world.

Yesterday I saw it between Fontain (more closer to Fontain) and Liyue. Maybe it's near Qiaoying Village of Liyue, who shares border with Fontain.
Or it's heading towards Mondstat

I think this lumine we meet in the quests is a fake, probably a clone made in khaenri'ah, because the abyss mage says to her "your homeland will return to this world", if its true then most likely the 3rd descender was the original lumine and they are no more alive.
It has been sort of confirmed by a melusine that Paimon is connected to something "above the sky itself."

My guess is that they're trying to liberate teyvat When the time comes with lumine's war with destiny and abyss herald Trying to rebel and bring back khaenri'ah but will have a major consequence will put teyvat in danager and fatui harbingers is trying to prevent that from happening
Sibling can't be a clone because we have that whole "I can mystically sense that my Sibling was here / I can mystically pick up on their memories" thing going on several time in game. Having a mystic connection between Twins is a popular meme and it means no cloning is possible as an explanation. Because that would mean a scientific path to reproduce that mystical connection. Of course the fact they are Twins also means the Sibling would have qualified as a descender too. because they're the same. But to my mind that implies that you can do something (voluntarily) that makes you sacrifice this "descender" status and become in effect a Teyvat local subject to the laws of Teyvat, and that for some reason, the Sibling figured this was a good idea at some point. it's not clear when or why, but I think it's highly likely it has to be voluntary, and was done for the best intentions.
As for Teyvat as a prison the problem is it feels like the boundaries in place are there to stop things getting in, not getting out. Now, sure, that fact makes Teyvat a little insular feeling. But not a prison. If anyone wanted to "escape" via portal they are not hard to make. Just hitch a lift with a Rifthound or figure it out like René did. Or just fight through the Spiral Abyss until the 12th floor because that's outside Teyvat. We're even told that Tengu warriors can take trips to other places and return (because Miko or Ei ask if Traveler is a Tengu?). Well Sara's too young, but the older ones. And even the boundaries stopping people come to Teyvat are constantly failing to stop everything.
As for the fake sky. Ask yourself this: what is the purpose of making a fake sky that looks exactly like what the real sky would look like? Because when we get outside on the 12th floor it looks more or less the same. Stars, galaxies, Milky Way and a moon. The fake-ness is so you don't notice that there's a barrier up there. So it feels more like Teyvat is hidden from the outsiders and the fake-ness is the illusion of a "normal" planet for the benefit of insiders not freaking out. Taking it further, why did the insiders (humans) ever come to think that seeing a moon, stars, galaxies and Milky Way were things to be expected of a night sky to begin with? It feels as if the education of humans from the earliest days under the Primordial One has been accurate science, hence why Mona talks about "light years" and knows stars ought to be much too far away to drop on Teyvat a mere couple of thousands years after Leonard's death. She didn't learn that from Teyvat developing it's own science by examining it's own environment. It's old knowledge preserved from the Ancient Civilization. So Teyvat isn't a medieval re-enactment. it's not a society started from nothing. They were taught modern science originally.

I think that the twins (Aether & Lumine) are both likely considered to be the 4th descender. The Fatui and Cryo Archon are likely collecting the gnosis because it is the only way to defeat the heavenly principles. It also can be speculated that the Archons don't give out visions. Celestial (or the heavenly principles) give out visions. This theory comes from the fact the Furina received her vision after the hydro archon died, and Neuvellette had nothing to do with Furina receiving her vision after that time. I think that celestial does this so that one of these vision holders can potentially become a replacement candidate for a current or previous archon should the need arise (or the current archon betrays the heavenly principles). Venti hinted that all vision holders can potentially ascend to celestia and become archons themselves. Maybe this is the point of it all.

For one thing, I hope this isn't the route the story is going because it completely ignores a million characteristics about the Fatui you encounter in the story, but for another thing everyone's conjecture on the matter makes no sense. The idea that Snezhnaya isn't trying to gather the gnosis for purely selfish reasons cannot be concluded on the basis of "Well, they aren't just going around indiscriminately killing people", the Fatui are representatives of their country Snezhnaya and *_they have to maintain diplomatic relations with the other countries of Tyvat._* If they just went around causing chaos everywhere they went (out in the open, because they always seem to be responsible for a lot of criminal activities behind the scenes) they would just be painting a giant target on their country. "Well, sometimes they're helpful", YES, because they're getting something out of it! I mean, come on, the very first story important Fatui you meet ambushes an Archon, the second one you meet tried to nuke Liyue with an ancient evil monster, not to mention every Fatui Skirmisher you meet on the map attacks you on sight unless they're part of a side quest and even in those instances they're usually desperate and team up with the Traveler out of necessity. If the Fatui were good guys all along, I am calling bullshit!
Joke about Paimon are possibilities to be a "Last Boss" are much more likely become true every time and maybe Paimon are the 'real god above all god of Teyvat' who's needs that her real power back 🤔

I don't think celestia has control over all of teyvat because there is a region right next to inazuma trusumi island called the dark sea and it is mentioned in the trusumi quest that it is beyond the protection of the archons now I believe that if the gnosis are given by celestia that means that this place which has no gnosis and no archon ruling it is beyond the rule of celestia now the archons obviously aren't workers for celestia because as we know the tsaritsa is trying to overthrow celestia and the original hydro archon commited a sin then focalors decieves celestia. if the prison analogy isn't flawed then there is a big problem with that because if the archons were wardens then why would the fatui be mostly gentle with them when taking the gnosis using agressive diplomacy instead of force( except for singora who might hold a grudge against venti for not saving her lover during the cataclysm) and why would one warden (the tsaritsa) be trying to actively break out her prisoners by stealing the keys of other wardens and why does celestia not do anything about it if they did own the prison why don't they just send a nail to destroy that nation like they did with dragonspine thats why i think the prison analogy is flawed.

8:30 i know i may be in the minority here but i think it would be helpful to refere to lumine as the abyss/evil twin. A lot of people do it cause literally 50% of the people main lumine and therefore aether is the one who they are looking for. It honestly just causes a lot of confusion cause you always have to reverse the roles in your head😊

Her name in gnosticism is at around the same level as Barbatos, Morax, Baal, Buer, and Focalors. So she is around Archon level of importance but no one knows her. She can't be anything bigger bc her mind can be wiped with Irminsul.

Not everyone who came from another world is called a descender.
According to narcizzencrux ordo notes, to be a descender you need to have a will to create, destroy, sustain or protect (the world)

Archons seem to only use powers from Teyvat. Paimon has an "archon" name. My best guess is she can only use powers from Teyvat

So all archons names are derived of names of demons like:

Morax
Barbatos
Buer
Focalor.
I think they are all named after demons for a reason. If the upside down world of teyvat theory is true that would make celestia the Hell. And all the gods and archons are actually demons. The teyvat is the humanly realm which worships celestia because everybody believes celestia is heaven. Then havenly principals would be the primordial demon. Source of all evil and defier of heavens. Then the Abyys would be the actualy heaven. All the herald's from the abbys and the princess of abyss working with them being angels. Irminsul tree is located in the heaven which roots come down to teyvat. All the statues of seven are upside down that's why abyss turned one of the statues the right way up that looks at the abyss. I think abyss is trying to destroy celestia and the heavens so they get their rightful worshipping back.
What if the fatui revive the third descender then the third descender gains the trust of the fatui and kills the sustainer. Then the third betrays everyone making the "fools" title come true 🤔

I always have suspicion about the gnosis since the first time I play the game in 2020.
I have a theory that came out from my mind when playing defcon while waiting the download for Genshin to finish. Its about 7 digit code and two key needed to activate a nukes.
What if those 7 gnosis was the confirmation code needed to give the call for the nuke and the twins is the keys that should be turned together to grant access for the big red button, which in this case waking up the silos (returning the power) and it's launched (paimon returned as the original god).
If the fatui already got the key, all they need is the code and the nuke to be in the silo before the launch. And where does that silo would be? Snezhnaya?
