HMS 4 being -13 is absolutely amazing lol, he looks better than ever besides his slide but with this video Im starting to understand that decision, he is all about the just frames now and I love it, those of us that practiced for years are going to be very dangerous lol
I see a lot of people struggle or wonder how it's done but Lee can cancel out of his sway with his WS attacks. Your basically doing a double neutral input its f,n,b,n, WS move. In particular its useful with WS 2,3 for monster damage output or WS 1,2 which links easier into b2,4,3. I find the f2 loops to be way to hard to do so I learned everyone else but that

@5:00 Let me get this straight. So HMS 4 is the same speed as jin D+2, but HMS 4 is slow while D+2 is unseeable and busted by your own reporting? Interesting.
HMS 4 is seeable tho. The main difference is it's locked in a stance. Being in a stance vastly reduces the options your opponent has to look out for. Not to mention it's the only low profile move out of HMS so it's basically a snake edge that can be blocked consistently even online. I'm saying this as a Jin main BTW
@@BoyOnBike4 HMS 4 has been sped up from previous Tekken games, it comes out i22 frames, just like Jins D+2, which are both faster than i22. Tip here for everyone struggling to fight hwoarang. I joined a room and after one game the host kicked me out simply because he hated fighting hwoarang. The best thing you can do is to keep fighting a hwoarang player instead of running away. That’s the only way to learn and it goes for every character. The ones who shy away from matches tend to be the ones stuck in lower ranks. As a hwo main I actually suck at fighting hwo as well.
Am I the only one bummed about Lee's heat design? You do just-frame attacks to get more heat, and heat allows you to do just-frames imperfectly...But if you can already do the just frames, then who cares if you get heat back or not? It seems like if you can consistently get more heat (by doing consistent just-frames), then you are entirely defeating the purpose of having heat (easier just-frames). Kinda lame TBH. I mean I understand the 50/50 TMM brings up with the chip on FF2, FF3, and the unbreakable throw--but IDK, with FF2 being 20 frames (and potentially side-steppable as well), it doesn't seem that oppressive. I get we will have to see how it all plays out when the game drops.
1. All of your attack chips while on heat. Just being in heat without using it is already beneficial. 2. You're telling me you can do mist trap throw just frame consistently? Even veterans can't. I think he's pretty strong tho but we'll see.
@@BoyOnBike4 I just think conceptually it's a little lame. Extend heat with just-frame moves so that you don't need to do just-frame anymore. Other characters seem to have cooler changes in heat--new moves etc. I think he will be pretty strong, the changes to his strings seem really good, and I think the new slide is still good. Regardless, I just think Lee's heat gimmick is a little self defeating.
@@booleann___ Then I guess I see it differently. I thought the mechanic was excellently designed especially on how it benefits new and veteran Lee players in completely different way. For new players, being in heat allows them to do cool moves without the execution. The reward is the just frame move itself. For veteran players, the mechanics becomes a minigame. You win by consistently doing just-frames and your reward is gaining heat. You lose by failing the timings and your punishment is losing heat. As far as I know, Lee is the only character who has a reliable way of extending his heat time. You theoretically have infinite heat as long as your execution is on point. And being on heat is very scary especially for Lee. You gain the mental advantage of a low heat smash, even if you don't use it. The chip damage also as I already mentioned.
