Why does every V6 minivan sound good lmao
I prefer the 3.5 v6 in the Sienna as it is noticeably faster. Same with the Highlander.
Would a Highlander be faster than Sienna?
Sounds like the V6 had a Cold air intake or something, definitely not the stock air filter
7.9 seconds is not bad at all esp with all that weight AND it gets 35mpg
I'm not racing in my van. The hybrid engine on a loaded Sienna is plenty adequate for passing or merging into a highway. Good enough for me.
1st clip 2gr sounds soooooooooo good with an Intake.
I have a 2017 Sienna AWD with the V-6, it is awesome. Very quick for a large vehicle. Sounds great and the shifts stay in the power band. Launches hard!
lol why is the turbo, more torq highlander also slower than the 3.5 v6 sienna? Also moddified the air intake, did that actually help anything or just make nicer engine sounds?
Yes it helped with MPG and acceleration, I also found that it gives the van noticeable low end torque in city driving.
oh sheet, can you please share the details? I have a 2020 sienna, xle awd, that 3.5 v6 sounds so good. I want to change the intake and the exhaust. And put new wheels, wider tires. I want this thing to be better than stock, short of turboing it.@@tallboydr2
@@rmat9023 I have lightweight wheels, about 17.5 lbs each. really helps with handling and braking. i kept the stock air box and replaced the filter with K&N and removed the carbon filter on the stock box, the engine bay gets really hot on these so i think a cone filter wont help. i tried tuning it with D3 but their tune wasn't ready and was giving me issues. im still trying to find more ways to mod it without going crazy lol
That Sienna is decently quick. Does it have the 2GR-FKS or 2GR-FE?
Yep its mine lol, this one has the 2GR-FKS
@@tallboydr2 You use 91/93 octane on this? Could gain some horses with premium fuel.
@@Highlander63 i used regular 87, but i want to try 93 and see how it does, i did two runs and got identical results
@@tallboydr2 Could also try the D3 Performance tune. Around 20whp if I'm not mistaken.
@@Highlander63 i did and didnt have a great experience with them, their tune wasnt ready at all.. id love a tune to get it to shift around 7000 to 7200 rpm, the engine still makes power up there, just like the other 2GR's
Is the first sienna equipped with torque vectoring? 0:03
My family was going to buy the Sienna 2024, which replaces our 2017 one, but we realised that it is electric and slower.
Thank you!!
You dont buy minivans for racing stop light to stop light. You buy it to haul kids and strollers around and getting the most comfort and efficiency as possible.
Yep, but when i dont have it with kids or strollers or seats, it still hauls a**!
The Odyssey is quite sporty with its double wishbone suspension
Does the 2019 have a custom exhaust/air filter?
Im using K&N filter and i modified the stock intake box
@@tallboydr2now take off all the seats and put 2 bucket racing seats !
