      Stop bullshitting without applying brains. 10 yrs back Indian best 400m quartet finished at 3.07 min. Now they finish at 3:01 on an avg and would have made it to the Tokyo games had it not been for the Covid ban.
      FYKI, India is already qualified for the 4×400m mixed and in fact, had made it to the finals in 2019 athletics championship finishing 8th. And women's 4×400m has been an Asian champion since 1998.
      Indian sports has grown by leaps and bounds in these 10 years due to some meticulous planning by the govt. It is a slow process, and will take time to make it to the podium. That said, India cannot even think of beating US, Jamaica and other African nations in track events, as we simply don't have it in us. But at Asian level, we can be champs and already are in many events, if you bother to notice.

    If India wants to rise up and become a force in Track and Field, consider sending athletes to countries that have superior coaches. Caribbean and African nations sent athletes to the US in the 70s and 80s and they have become powerhouse track teams on the international scene. Athletes get their training under great coaches, then as they age beyond their competitive years, they can coach the younger athletes coming up. At some point, you won't need to send young athletes abroad anymore because the coaches are at home. I think it's in the coaching. I have no doubt India has talented athletes. It will take coaching to elevate them to more elite status. First develop the athletes, then develop the coaches.

      Sir, do watch the same comonwealth 4*400m Women race too. You will definately amaze to see the result of the winning Team also The level of Coaching they got from Indian coaches👍What you are suggesting to us can easily be applied to your country athletes too. It's 2021 and things have changed a lot. DO WATCH THE 4*400m Women's comonwealth 2010 and celebrate the winning moment with the Gold medal country too.👍😀

    • @JohnHoulgate
      @JohnHoulgate 3 роки тому +1

      @@sahadola I'm from the United States, the most dominant country in the world in the 4x4, both men and women. We may not win every 4x4 relay on the world stage, but we win most of them and over many decades. We don't need to send our 400m runners to other countries for coaching, we're already very deep in that event. I saw the Indian women's team win that 4x4 race in the Commonwealth games. Believe me, I was extremely happy for India, because I love the Indian people and want to see them succeed. However, winning the Commonwealth Games once doesn't mean India has become an elite power in World level Track and Field. In this race India's men's team finished last, well behind the next to last finisher. They have a lot more work to do to compete at the same level as the Bahamas, Australia or the UK. I am suggesting a pathway to that level as other countries like the African and Carribean countries have done.

    It was a bit rude of the Australian commentators to not properly introduce the Kenyans, Welsh & Botswana athletes. Even in UK we do it properly. The Jamaican on 3rd leg blew it by going so fast early. For those in UK, I thought Brendon Cole was a British dancer that used to be is Strictly!

    • @ianraper4304
      @ianraper4304 Рік тому

      It was not the duty of the Australian commentators to 'introduce'' each and every team participant/member. Not a rudeness simply an acknowledgement of the commentators. Besides, the names for the athletes was displayed on the screen so they were acknowledged in that fashion. 'Even in the UK we do it properly'? Please get real - I have seen and heard British telecasts of commonwealth games etc - it is not mandatory and is not always the case. Time is another factor. Incidently the Jamaican on the 3rd leg did blow it but it was understandable that he was trying to make up for lost ground - pity he wasn't fitter because it would have made for a great finish.

    This was the Commonwealth Games. USA not invited. Tor the record, they had four failed doping tests announced: Nigerian Oludamola Osayomi was stripped of the women's 100 m title, and her compatriot Samuel Okon, a 110 m hurdler, was also disqualified. Both athletes tested positive for methylhexanamine. Rani Yadav, India's representative in the women's 20 km walk, was the third athlete to fail a test as 19-Norandrosterone was detected in her sample.[5] Osayomi's 100 m stripped gold initially went to Sally Pearson of Australia but a delay in the appeals process saw Pearson disqualified for a false start some time after the race.[6] Folashade Abugan of Nigeria tested positive for Testosterone prohormone following the final of the women's 400 metres. She was disqualified from the 400 metres and the Nigerian team, of which she was a member, were disqualified from the women's 4 x 400 metres relay where they had originally placed second.

    The Kenyan runner who ran the 3rd lap made bad tactical misjudgement because he locked himself inside when he should have ran from the outside like the second runner for Kenya and he lost a couple of seconds that you cannot afford to lose in a relay. Kenya could have won gold had the 3rd leg runner be aware and more tactical since he has the speed in the final 100 meters.

    I did eventually get decent leg speed just not stamina 11s 100m 23s 200m in late teen without training properly and living bad lifestyle. But stamina I couldn't find as before in my training I had don pyramid sets 4 x100 2x200 1x400 and some crazy 4x400 2x800 1x1500 and back down all with warm up laps. A good coach diet and determination is a must to succeed. I am v impressed with the south Africans record.

      @@LaughLoveLifestyle he is helping though...appointed Rathore as the Sports minister. I have been seeing real Indian sports (not cricket bullshit) suffer and the government do nothing.
      For the first time, I feel the tides change. In the next 10 years, there will be enough progress and we will see double digit Olympic medal tallies frequently.

    If you blindly select athletes from a single state playing politics, this will the result. Selections are based on politics and region. Most of the trainees in SAI training centers are from Delhi Punjab and Haryana. Many talented sports persons from Southern states, Northeast and states like Bihar, Jharkhand are ignored and discouraged at lower levels. States should be given opportunity to send athletes directly to international sports events.
