Fermented Asian Slaw

  • This is a great salad made from whole fermented cabbage, you can substitute fresh cabbage instead of fermented cabbage but you'll need to add salt to the salad.
    Whole head fermented cabbage shredded fine
    1/2 Red onion
    5 Radish
    1/2 Bunch scallions, give or take
    3 Grated carrots
    1 Jalapeno deseeded
    1 Red jalapeno
    1 Red bell pepper
    1-2 Pieces of ginger
    1 Bunch of cilantro
    1 Tablespoon white sesame seed
    1 Tablespoon black sesame seed
    1/4 Cup + Olive oil to taste
    1 Tablespoon sesame seed oil
    1/4 Seasoned rice wine vinegar
    4 Tablespoons honey

    I know some chooch who took off to tip of his finger with that mandolin...nananana nevermind using that contraption.

      Seriously dangerous, my old one is German and has a V blade so it's harder to cut yourself. This new one is razor sharp with a straight blade, took some getting used to, still prefer the German model.

      @@daneboro6847 citrus, lime juice would work, it doesn't need much acid
