    Saved March 2019.
To be clear, I wasn't raised in a church I am the first to believe in our Savior and Messiah Jesus for generations. I was merely searching for truth and Jesus came to me in a dream and told me I AM coming.
It was roughly November when the Holy Spirit took me through house to get rid of certain items.
He led me to wardrobe in daughters room where I had the Xmas items. Now I was the leader in my family for Xmas, I loved it absolutely loved it. Holy Spirit said that meaning Xmas tree. I'm like but Lord everyone knows Christmas is all about you. He said that. Well I wouldn't have it, I felt sorry for myself sat down picked up the Bible. Be you Holy for I am Holy, for you were not redeemed by the traditions of your forefathers.
I got up from couch, still sulking and feeling sorry for myself. I asked the Lord the third time. Are you sure Lord? ( I giggle now, is the Lord sure? 🙄) I'll do it if you want me to but I need to know for sure.
Well this feeling in the pit of my stomach over whelmed me it bubbled up like boiling water, hard to explain, it was full of anger and it was nauseous. I felt like I was gonna vomit I was a new born baby in Christ and I never experienced this side of Him. He hates Xmas it makes Him wanna vomit. So I am thrilled to hear David's experience with the Lord about this. I immediately picked up the Xmas stuff and put them on the burn pile and I'm like you win Lord. It really displeases Him and it's not a popular topic in the community of believers.
My convictions stand and I do not celebrate it.
Just ask the Lord Jesus directly.

I went through something similar. And I wasn't happy with what He was telling me either. But, when I realized just how disloyal and insulting Christmas is to Jesus, I too wanted to vomit it out of my soul. Thankfully, I have never returned to that vomit. My family doesn't understand. When asked, I once told my grandchildren "Imagine if someone threw you a birthday party and, yet, they basically ignored you, other than a quick song, and then all your guests spent all the rest of the day eating, drinking and partying without giving you (the birthday person) a second thought". To their credit, they looked a bit glum and admitted they wouldn't like it. Well, their parents weren't too happy, but, what could they say? And don't get me talking about birthdays, one of the most important celebrations of Satanists. I don't look for trouble, I don't like saying things that make families upset, but, I can't stand by and pretend Christmas is about God. Haven't done so now for 16 years. Anyhow, it's always good to share our experiences and to know we're not alone on this journey. Thanks for sharing yours.

@@markdonnaabbott3977 oh my, so glad I said something helpful to someone who helped me feel less alone in my own family situation. I can't say things get better, but, the worst of the pain does ease and I try to always remember that Jesus was a man acquainted with sorrows. Then again, in a particularly sorrowful moment and self pitying frame of mind, I reminded Jesus He'd lived only 33 years as a human while I've had to live 65 years...and more! Yes, I was instantly ashamed of myself, but, I share my shame with you in case you ever have sorrowful times that could lead to feeling defeated. Needless to say, Jesus took my confusion and resentment and turned it into tears, which actually washed away some pain and gave me a much better start to my day. Isn't it amazing how gracious and merciful is our Savior 😁
Donna, if you're interested, I have written out some of my thoughts, sorrows and lessons at MyChainsAreGone.net. There are 2 poems about Christmas...an early one as a new Christian and a later one as a more mature Christian. And other stuff 😏
May all of us who worship the Uncreated Jesus continually avail ourselves of God's grace so that the burden of sorrow doesn't make us stumble too often or fall too heavily...like I do sometimes 😐

@@catherinecastle8576 Hi Catherine forgive my late reply. I was sitting in a car line up of 5 hours waiting for our son, the one who's giving me stick about Xmas, to be covid tested.
I read your message and burst into tears, in the car. It's like the Lord wrote that because I am a woman of many sorrows and grief at the present. And hearing you say those words of your own trials, it's like how I feel at the moment. And you've reminded me despite my sorrows our Savior had suffered way more and I need to focus on Him more and not myself. And these sorrows are but a fleeting moment in light of what's in store for us.
Then I read the poem you linked and I was not just weeping but bawling and howling in the car, my poor son didn't know what to do.
But I know it was God's perfect timing with a perfect word.
Thank you so much for your encouragement your compassion and your time. Thank you Lord for this loving sister who when you tugged on her heart she was faithful. Thank you Lord that we can share our griefs and sorrows as part of one body. Thank you Lord when one rejoices we all rejoice and when we weep, we weep together. Bless my sister and minister to her needs, protect her lead her guide her in all that she does, may your love continue to shine so brightly in her life that her family will come to know exactly who you are. @@markdonnaabbott3977 Donna, you encourage me SO much! You're honest and humble, it's rare, refreshing and much needed these days. I pray you too can bear up and still find moments of joy and even happiness. I'm confident Jesus returns soon, mainly because this current Evil has gone global, so there are no new lands for "the persecuted" to immigrate to, as was the case of Christians first immigrating to and pioneering North America. All Hell is now breaking loose, and our Holy God is allowing a great deception to come upon the Worldly & Fleshly, even within Christendom, and the resulting spiritual chaos is going to devalue science, rational thought, goodness, decency, justice, compassion, service to others, charity etc and replace it with the exact opposite, because that's exactly how Satan rolls, so to speak. Well, as Churchill said "If you're going through Hell keep going". I now expect the worse and hope for the best. I would very much like to live free and die in my sleep and wake up to see Jesus, but, while I know I'll wake up to Jesus, I can't be sure anymore I'll live free (physically speaking) or I'll die quietly in my sleep...but, I leave all that to Holy God. He knows best who I am and how much I can take, and trusting in that gives me a deep peace that nothing else and no one else can give me. Bless you, Donna, for all your sharing, caring and prayers...may God strengthen and enable you to run your race to a victorious end. Just knowing that you and I share some similar challenges and yet both of us are standing up for Jesus, well, it does my soul such good, you can't imagine! Take care...may Almighty God protect you and all whom you love and watch over with prayer until we're standing in the actual presence of the Uncreated Jesus. I now tend to add "uncreated" when I mention Jesus because the more I dig, the more obvious it's becoming that too many people value Jesus, yet, deny His Divine and Uncreated status! Well, Jesus is not merely supernatural..Jesus is God! Sorry 🙄 I can get a bit carried away when I start talking about our Savior 😊

The church today is polluted to their core by paganism; they have made the word of God invalid by their traditions; tickling the ears of its followers; teaching what the people wish to hear rather than teaching them the Truth. You cannot sit at the table of the Lord and at the table of demons. The foretold apostasy has diluted Christs Christianity to the point that many people 'run' when approached with the good news. I am from a Believing church in India. We always use this occasion to celebrate in a Christ centres way. No baby Jesus for us. We however, decorate our homes, make special Christmas sweets and focus on inviting friends n neighbours ( not believers in Jesus) to come n share our joy. We take this opportunity to talk about Jesus, giving them a NT or some relevant reading material etc etc. We have given out sweets wrapped in Johns gospel to the traffic wardens we meet as we drive. They indulge us as it is Christmas and happily take the small prettily wrapped gift. Other times there would be some hostility. We focus on the poor n the underprivileged- giving money gifts or food items. We send out special gifts to missionaries and to various organisations engaged in praise worthy work. So for years now we greatly enjoy this season, let the k fwd to it n use it to be a good testimony! In my country it’s a great open time.

+Naught ΟΔΙΟ I mean that the hymen is like a seal that is broken. The hymen is not a closed seal (well, very very rarely). Some women don't even have one. Most importantly, it is not any indication of virginity.

+sonnssning David never used the word seal and he made no suggestion about a broken or absent hymen indicating the absence of virginity. However, he did make an assumption about Mary's physicality, which may or may not be accurate and perhaps to be partciularly careful he might have said, "assuming she was born with one and it hadn't been compromised by natural processes, it will have been broken by a male from the inside, whereas in every case where a hymen is present during heterosexual intercourse, they are broken by a male from the outside." Arguably a bit long-winded simply to be entirely politically correct but I suppose that's the world we live in currently.

@@waltdog123Jesus's birthday is most likely at the end of September/early October (7th month on Hebrew Calender which is on the feast of tabernacles known as Sukkot in Hebrew). David Pawsom, explains it and there's bible verse that gives us clues. I started researching it too. The article I found didnt say when Jesus birthday was, but it gave great insight to when Shepperds watched over sheep.
      www.ucg.org/the-good-news/why-some-christians-dont-celebrate-christmas
Luke tells us that the shepherds were keeping their sheep in the fields at night when Jesus was born. "And she [Mary] brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night" (Luke 2:7-8, emphasis added throughout).
late December is Judea's cold and rainy season.
from December to February, is very piercing, and it was not the custom for the shepherds of Judea to watch their flocks in the open fields later than about the end of October.
      Regarding the Feast of Tabbernacles:
      www.chosenpeople.com/site/yeshua-the-messiah-and-the-feasts-of-tabernacles/
Jesus is the fulfillment of all the Jewish festivals, and this includes Sukkot. First of all, we understand that Jesus Himself is the fulfillment of the festival in that He is God in the flesh who “tabernacled” among us. As John writes,
“And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14).
The Greek term used for “dwelt” is σκηνόω skenoo, a word that refers to pitching a tent. The image is easy to grasp - God pitched a tent, which was His flesh, veiling His pure glory through the incarnation. Jesus pitched His tabernacle and dwelt among us for a short sojourn until the day of His reign. In that day, the Messiah King will pitch a far larger tent that will include both Israel and the nations under His sovereign leadership and Lordship.

It’s not mentioned in the Bible except HE would come during the feast of Tabernacles, a feast held every year in Sept/Oct Jesus said very little about his birth but He does say a lot about his death David teaches this was because the whole purpose and focus of Jesus coming was to fulfill Gods promise - to give His only Son to die in our place as the punishment of sin. ….. and it’s not just the cross - it’s the Resurrection and overcoming death that is the key event

I get where he’s coming from, however what comes to mind is Isaiah 9 and also Luke 2 in particular. Did not the angel and a heavenly host announce His birth to the shepherds and praising God? How wonderful they were the first to know and celebrate by telling others. There is always celebration of the birth of a child. For me personally every day is a celebration of His birth, death and resurrection. I have grandchildren in the USA who all attended a Christian school. One year I was visiting near to Christmas and they put on a performance called The Gift, which was all about Jesus. At the end they asked if anyone wanted to receive this Gift (which was Jesus) to come and have a word with any of the staff. It’s a wonderful opportunity to introduce Jesus, starting with the wonderful good news, that He CAME. Ignore the pagan stuff and concentrate on Jesus

David Pawson is in error here
Asking for Jesus Christ's feelings is ONLY asking for His opinion.
What Christians should ask is what the Lord wants!!!.... And HIS will must be DONE!!

Asking GOD about these will only result in TRUTH ...HIS TRUTH ....HE can't answer outside of HIS TRUTH...David is point on when asking the LORD what HE says about any particular matter....BTW GOD doesn't have opinions...opinions are open to conjecture....GOD is always TRUTH ♡

Mr Pawson, or to whomever posts these videos. I just wanted to clear up something. Mr Pawson mentioned Colossians chapter 3 as a reference, yet there is nothing in that chapter that even touches on this subject. I've also read chapter 2, which is what some say you might of been referring to. In which I still don't see the correlation. I mean I do see it says don't let others judge you in festivals, but the context is legalism. And it mentions a few things, but it's about not being judged by these things, ie, if you don't do these things. Ie. subjecting yourself to regulations. I don't see where this can be directly teaching that Christmas is a bad idea. Don't get wrong, I myself have really questioned Christmas, and have come to the conclusion Jesus was not born then. but one thing I do want to say, there being many faithful brothers in the faith who do celebrate Christmas, in its entirety of the Worship of Jesus Christ without the other stuff., is it just to say that they are doing an unholy act in this matter. You see I'm indecisive on the matter, and I read these verses in Romans 14 which I think really relate to this issue, Romans 14:5-10
[5]One person regards one day above another, another regards every day alike. Each person must be fully convinced in his own mind.
[6]He who observes the day, observes it for the Lord, and he who eats, does so for the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who eats not, for the Lord he does not eat, and gives thanks to God.
    [7]For not one of us lives for himself, and not one dies for himself;
[8]for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord's.
[9]For to this end Christ died and lived again, that He might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.
[10]But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you regard your brother with contempt? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.
You see my point, if a true believer wants to celebrate and give genuine praise to the Lord on a certain day, with a sincere heart, on whatever day it is, a another believer does not, like the verse says let them be convinced in their own mind. If one is convicted it's wrong, though another isn't, unless it's directly a sin in which no one can really say it is. I mean read the whole chapter 14 of Romans and tell me this dosnt fall into this category. Another thing, I just find it hard to understand, if our Lord Jesus gave you a special revelation to not celebrate this day unto him, why no other, I mean why has no other had this strong conviction from the Holy Spirit? Anyway I just wanted to ask that, because Mr Pawson for me has been a great teacher, I have read many of his books, and it was Mr Pawson himself who said, dont believe everything he teaches without checking it out for yourself, and to hear him teach something without scripture backing it up, or having him mis quote a text is not common. Anyway beside that, I just had to ask, I'm not here to cause disagreements or arguments, I just have to speak up and ask, when a statement is made that Jesus specifically told you he dosnt like Christmas. Thank you and God bless

this verse is speaking of Gods festivals not pagan festivals... and Gods Word tells us not to worship Him the way the pagans worship their gods that it is an abomination to Him. Deut.12:

Thank you for this insight. It is true that why the Holy Spirit did not convict others that celebrate, could it be that they did not listen properly or even rejected it firmly the moment they heard about others opposing Christmas? Like sometimes we just ignore the Holy Spirit, which grieved the Holy Spirit. (do you think that is possible?)
But for me, Christmas is amazing, because I used to received a lot of gifts especially I was young. But when I found out the history and how it changed from pagan worship to Christians observance, I had to stop and think why are we allowing this. I agreed with you that we are allowed to observe the day if we want to. But let's ask a question, will we pray to God and ask for forgiveness if we did not celebrate Christmas? I'm afraid most of us will and might even question why the church did not celebrate it. And if this is true, then the problems had arise. We had make them into something that we must follow. (refer to Galatians 4:10)
I am definitely be proud of telling people about the birth of Jesus. But why should we limit it to a specific date that is not even close to the actual birth of Jesus. Another thing we should ask when we allow this kind of celebration (besides of it's pagan origin) is: Will it slowly leads to corruption of church? For me, I am from Asia, people are mainly celebrating Christmas with Jesus as the center, but yet, as I grow up, Santa Claus whom is supposed to only appear in the shopping center, started to have his position in the church. I asked them why should we allow Santa Claus to be in the church. The reason that I got is: To attract people. To be honest, the intention seems good, but I'm not sure if it truly leads people to Christ or to Santa Claus. As in Europe and America, I noticed people started to have themselves dressed up as elf, and giving Santa cookies, or even letting their kids to make wishes to Santa Claus or expecting Santa Claus to bring good lucks.
Don't get me wrong, I do not stop people from sharing the joy about Jesus' birth. The intention might be good, to just plainly celebrate Jesus' birth, but can they do it on different day other than 25 December? and have they done it? (action speaks louder than words) If yes, then that's great, because they are not being tied to this celebration system. (it shows that they clearly know that it is okay not to celebrate it as it is not the teaching of the Bible). After all, the origin was from Winter Father, not even from the Torah, yet we are trying so hard to convince people about this birthdate, this is suspicious.
(Anyway, if this is just mainly revolving about the Birth of Jesus, I might just let it be, but it is not. In fact, it is closely connected to the corruption of churches. That is why I think we should really reconsider when making it an annual festival to be celebrated among the people of God. Can we really stand firm when we say we fix the center to Jesus in Christmas without mixing any other 'ingredients' that is not biblical?)

2:30 I’m sorry Brother, but Colossians 3 says ZERO about doing away with the feasts of God. It does however say you should put off the “old things” that is the sins of your past and sinful behaviors of your past before you came to Christ in faith and obedience. God has His feasts which are to be observed “for all your generations”. Passover, Shavuot, Yom Teruah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot. Jesus kept these feasts and so did the apostles after the resurrection. Understand this brothers and sisters, Jesus did not abolish the law, the law was not “nailed to the cross” OUR LAWLESSNESS was nailed to the cross, Christ became sin, He who knew no sin… and took the wrath of God that we deserve and which will be meted out to those who reject Christ and possess no obedience or allegiance to God and Christ. The law remains brothers and sisters, if it were not true then God WOULD NOT punish anyone or judge anyone at the end of time. Don’t you understand this? Haven’t you ever questioned this understanding and simply read exactly what God has to say about the things? It’s only logical that if the law were abolished that none should be cast into the lake of fire? But, we do know that unbelievers and those who are “workers of lawlessness/iniquity” are cast into the lake of fire prepared for the adversary and his angels. Do you not know that those laws given at Sinai are Christ’s commandments also. You have already read that Messiah said, “from now on if you see me you have seen the Father, for I and the Father are One.” John is quite clear that Messiah is preexistant, from God, is God… If this is true then you know that Jesus kept these instructions. The word torah means instruction in Hebrew, not law. The problem today is that what we call “legalism” today is not the Biblical definition of legalism. The Biblical definition defined by God himself is the belief that your law keeping will save you and that this is all you need, much like some amongst the Pharisees who kept their traditional (Halakah) laws above and sometimes forsaking the Torah of God. Christ told the disciples, “If you love me you will keep my commandments…” What liberal American theology describes as “legalism” today is having anything to do with the “Law of Moses” which in itself is a severe misnomer. It is not the law of Moses, these were the instructions from God’s own mouth, this is how God’s kingdom children are to behave. There is hardly anything in the Tanak which you would disagree with, you’re already doing much of it as a disciple of Messiah simply because you are not aware of the Jewish foundation of your own faith.

I hear what he's saying, but in my gut I still consider Christmas as a festival to celebrate Christ's birth as desirable - if celebrated appropriately for a Bible-obedient Christian. In luke the angels celebrated with the shepherds. Yes it can be a disgusting pagan thing, but it doesn't have to be. Familes get together at Christmas and it can be a time of thanksgiving and witness, a precious time where old relatives are no longer ignored or forgotton, where relationships can be healed, where we are forced to stop chasing the dollar and sit and eat with families we would otherwise neglect to connect with: old granny is visited in her nursing home etc. One of my most cherished memories is being a young boy celebrating Christmas dinner with all of my family: the love we had for one another, it was a time where teasing and bullying was understood not to be meted to each other as usual. We did something weird and wonderful in goi9ng out and buying cards and presents for each other. We gave each other special love at Christmas. We celebrated each other and enjoyed toys and games and photos and singing and dancing and people at the door sang carols. It was a time, unlike today perhaps, when you would see people at their best. And yes for many at their worst. But generally people put on their best behaviours. In itself it is nothing, just what we make of it, something good or something evil. In my spirit I feel that God wants us to commit to seasonal festivals that remember and honour him. Like everything, it needs to be reformed into a holy time and that's up to each individual Christian. All those passages in Luke and Matthew imply God's foreknowledge of the festival of Christmas. The food and celebrating seems very much like what God's ancient people did, to remember their God, not to indulge in greed and licentiousness. Is doesn't have to be that I think. I think it is good to have three festivals to God a year based on old testament patterns: Christmas, Easter and Pentecost. I think that despite their pagan origins there were Jewish festivals prior to these. Satan always counterfeits, so that tells me that there are Christian seasonal festivals meant to be had, otherwise what is being counterfeited? I remember when going to church was a time of worshiping and glorifying God, but these days all I see in many church services is laodician carnality. It's what you make it. But what would I know?

The Bible says nothing about the date of Christs conception -and the early Christinas, who were Jews did not celebrate his birth nor his conception. The only references in the Bible are to when the Messiah would appear and that was during the Feast of Tabernacles - October
The very 1st celebration of Christmas was not until 336AD - at that time The Roman Empire had not adopted Christianity as its main religion so Emperor Constantine decreed that the Roman pagan festival 'Saturnalia' ( feasting and giving of gifts) held on 25th December would be replaced with a celebration of Christs birth to stop paganism. Christmas has been celebrated ever since - nothing to do with the Jews nor celebrating Jesus conception nor his Birth
