    I watched your videos about the graffiti yellow sonic stratocaster because I was getting one for Christmas. My beautiful wife got it for $149.00 dollars and after playing for a full day I'm totally blown away how beautiful and excellent it plays. The set up out of the box is perfect as well as the intonation. I own several guitars and I can see this one becoming a new favorite. I own the Red Special and I love what you did with your stratocaster. Thank you for making such a great video.

    Wow! What a cool little axe! Love that guitar, & what you did with it. I've always loved Squier Bullets and Affinities. Strats and Teles. And I haven't tried the new Sonics yet, but hearing good things. These guitars have always been great mod platforms. Good - as is. But even better to tinker with, hot-rod, and make your own. And you did a heck of a job with this one. Great playing too!

    I like it. It's very reminiscent of the West Creek yellow racer I got recently it's an SG copy, offset horns. That looks like an interesting upgrade of components I might do to one of my strats

    I bought a fender fixed bridge and converted mine to a string thru body design and added the steel saddles.

      @@TheTapeFarm never too late! Mounting holes are different. But you can utilize the center hole left over from the squier bridge. Filled the old holes and drilled the two outer holes from the fender bridge.

    I've been looking for a video that shows one of these under the pickguard, very happy I found this. Does anyone know if the body routing is consistent across all Squier Sonics? I'm looking for a cheap ST frame to play around with, and want to keep my options open regarding pickups.. considering doing HSH, but I don't have any carpentry skills or tools really.

    Bilateral replacement? Fun, huh? Great job on the Strat. I have GFS pickups on 3 guitars and one Squire JB, and I think they match almost any but the really exotics, like Fishman, Lace, or the SD P-Rails, but I suspect that GFS won't be too far behind.

    • @TheTapeFarm
      @TheTapeFarm  10 місяців тому +1

      Yup. Big fan of most of the GFS stuff. Not a fan of the Active pickups.

      @@TheTapeFarm Truth be told, I've never played through an active pickup (other than acoustic bridge-saddle). And I got my first guitar in 1966 (a spankin' new '66 Gretsch Corvette ). WISH I still had that one!)

    Hi, I have a stupid question 🙂.
    How do you know which size saddle blocks to get to replace the originals ? Do they have gaps between them, or do they butt closely together ? How about the overall width across the saddle ?

    • @TheTapeFarm
      @TheTapeFarm  Місяць тому +1

      @@rodsimmons9337 you can measure the distance between the center of the saddles to be sure. But the string spacing on Strats style guitars is pretty standard. Here’s a link to the ones I’ve used on a couple of guitars. a.co/d/8PnhV12
