its honestly one of the best shows ive watched in a while, its just so beautiful and it makes you actually care for the characters and become so invested in their lives, and the way they portray male vulnerabilty and emotion is real and refreshing, i reccomend it to everyone
Olivia Amson-Orth then you gotta read the book if you haven’t already. It’s great
Still hitting up the Tinder chads?
This was good agreed. But he was a jerk to her, and it was painful to watch.
@@Skysdalimit247 Yes I totally agree with you. For me it was too painful to watch, so I baled out after about 3 epiodes!
This was so good, everything about it was incredible
My gf said I should watch this with her but the trailers look really boring (to me). Does anything actually happen or is it just a love story? I don’t need car chases & explosions, but I need more than will they/won’t they
@@neargrog685 It's definitely a love story, but it's told in a VERY unconventional way. It doesn't dwell on the 'will they / won't they', it fast forwards through time with little to no warning, and just assumes you'll catch up on where they are in their lives and relationship. It's beautifully shot and acted and the music is mesmerising. You should absolutely watch it.

Normal people really hit home for me. I suppose after years together and children you lose touch with eachother a bit. I'm nearly on verge of a divorce but this made me remember why I love my husband reminded me of when we were younger we were childhood sweethearts and now we remember I suppose it iginated a spark again we can start to find r way back to eachother were we were always meant to be ♥
Thats amazing
SMH the BBC with public money has more drama shows about Irish people than British Black people. I think it is Black people in the UK stop paying the license fee because BBC has no glossy dramas with lead by black characters.
Beautiful words...don’t give up, it’s so worth it! 🤗
Oh that's brilliant?
That’s lovely, I wish you well 😊
this left a hole in my heart and I do not know what to do about it. Its magnificent.
I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS. THE ACCENTS. THE DIALOGUE. THE RELATIONSHIP. GIVE ME ALL THE FEELS, SALLY ROONEY.
@realworldtalking DO YOU NOT AGREE!?
Sabrina S I agree
What an empty life you have.
LITERALLY SCREAMED WHEN ORLAS MUSIC CAME ON
anyone who wants to know the song: Orla Gartland- Heavy
Yes! It was the reason I first watched the trailer, so happy for her!!
SAME
I just heard it on the TV and was like I KNOW THIS SONG ALREADY THATS ORLA WHAT
THIS IS THE ONLY REASON IM WATCHING THIS TRAILERRRR
ORLAAAAAA
the best series i have watched in a loooong long time.
Watch extracurricular, it's amazing
yess!!!!
I agree
The short episode when she's in Sweden is soo sad and lonely.
I was very impressed with this. I thought it was going to be another dull romantic drama (but I tried it anyway to see what the buzz was about), and was pleasantly surprised. Brilliantly acted and directed, stunning cinematography, and amazing music.
Really hope a sequel is made.
The best series I’ve ever watched, so so perfect.
it just feels so complete . just amazing the way both of them portrayed their characters so intense and engaging . one of the best series i have watched.just feel so content after watching this.
Blown away by this series
In its realism and intimacy of showing a love that is so intense and only ever comes along once if you’re lucky.
This is probably the best thing I've seen in 2020. So pure emotion... 10/10
This is one of the best pieces of television I have ever seen. I've seem allot of television
I just finished binge watching the full series, I think I've just felt every emotion possible watching this, incredible acting as I believed every word.
Just watch this trust me when I say it’s worth it because it’s an absolute masterpiece.
“It was different with you. I didnt have to play any games or anything. It was just real. I would have done anything if you wanted me to” - real dialogue i had few days back 🥺
Emotionally wrecked!!! They did an absolutely incredible job! One of the best book adaptations! And the soundtrack is class!! 🙌 Marianne and Connell forever! 💗💗💗💗💗
im so excited to see this book come to life! i hope the tv show does it justice :) the style and tone of this already looks spot on
Sally Rooney helped write the scripts! I think it will be close and in interviews the producers said they didn’t really change anything!
UPDATE EVERYONE. IT WAS PERFECT.
Orla’s music getting recognition. Love that!!
So I watched all 12 episodes in a row and oh my god
WE WANNA A SEASON 2 AND FINALLY THEM TOGETHER FOR GOOD !!!
Amazing ! Sat up now 1 in the morning ! Spellbound watching this 👌 incredible acting by two main actors bravo 👏
Good example of a dysfunctional relationship where two people who are in love and a good match.. but struggle to communicate and end up hurting each other and other people.. I felt sorry for Helen tbh.. and if Marriane is so in love with him why not go to NY for a year.. it very much felt like ‘can’t live with them, can’t live without them’ kinda relationship
They were frustrating. Even though they both could communicate they felt like they were perfect for each other in aex and when hanging out they still didnt become official. Despite their issues I dont think thats 'normal' to not just say it. He was lead on by her
AWhileHanlin I don’t think he was lead on by her, I think they both had serious insecurities in the relationship that made it hard for them to communicate. It is frustrating to watch, you want nothing more than for them to talk to each other, but something is stopping them. They can be their most vulnerable with each other, but they seem to constantly be afraid that the other is going to reject them which makes them both cagey. I wouldn’t describe it as normal, but then again, what is normal?
I found the most despairing part of the story was when Connell couldn’t for whatever physiological reason bring himself to ask Marianne to stay at her Dublin flat when he loses his restaurant job. It leads to an avoidable break up and sees Marianne enter into two abusive relationships.
Psychological that should say. Or maybe it was physiological 🥴.
I feel the same. They only ever got each other and when the dust finally settled, they decided to split up. I mean I thought it was fantastic, but incredibly frustrating. I wish they would've gone into how Marriane was more satisfied with living in Dublin because it didn't seem like too much had changed other than dropping Peggy and the abusive boyfriends.
I‘M CRYING THIS LOOKS SO HOT AND SAD
Woah this reminded me of my end-of-school relationship : (
I’m not binge watching as I don’t want this to end 🥰😢
One of the best shows ever ❤
I’ve just finished it, really liked it! the two lead actors were exceptional... brought back a lot of painful memories of being bullied in school & by my Sisters (not physically) I’ve not read the book but, one of the things I loved was, Marianne grows up privileged, Connell not & yet, they both suffer mental health problems. He’s Mum adores him, Marianne’s doesn’t & yet... a poignant reminders that mental health issues don’t discriminate. I can relate to Marianne, never really had any friends, just a lonely loner who not many like & to Connell a bit - I’ve had many panic attacks, anxiety was well handled here. Didn’t think I’d enjoy it, I was wrong, be well all.
Amazing . Multi layered , delicate and superbly acted .
I usually am not a fan of any shows thr BBC produces, but this was amazing. The trailer doesn't promote it the best but this show is so good! Go and watch it!!
This book moved me
I just finished book and I want to watch this show so much
Really enjoyed this show. Great acting, great story and photography too.
orlas music finally getting the respect it deserves 🙌🙌🙌
Well that for some reason just gave me Fifty Shades of Grey vibes
Hahaha🤣
I think it’s the girls fringe 😂

Yeah lol
I literally was this too. Fifty shades vibes cause of her hair
Episode 10 was amazing.
Did this take anyone back to their adolescence?
Faaaaabbbbb! It’s happy, sad, and happy it’s a rollercoaster 🎢 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
It’s on tomorrow!
This was brilliant
Highly recommend
Amazing acting, dialogue and photography
Very very good. Excellent indeed!!!
Can somebody recommend me a series which is like this?( I can't come over watching this series again again)
Normal People is basically Blue is the Warmest colour done from an emotionally Irish perspective in its portrayal of intimacy its heart breaking
It’s compellingly beautiful to watch on screen, horrifically agonizing to live through in real life :(
1:24 She looks like Anne Hathaway
It's the bangs.
And Dakota Johnson
50 Shades of Guinness
OMG! There's always one!! 🤣🤣
What has 50 shades of anything got to do with Normal People or 50 shades of Guinness for that matter?
It may not of been intentional but it thought there was some foreshadowing of the dead bug in the pool in Italy whilst he is on the phone to Helen? Thought it was interesting considering the next few episodes
ijc Ijc I noticed the bug, I wondered if there was any significance.
My friend Chiara recommended this to me!
He does a great county sligo accent.though he is from ireland he comes from kildare and even then its a posher kildare accent he has in real life.
Im a Dub and i just about get what you are saying....not sure about outsiders though!
Una joya universal
Are there going to be more episodes?.. I really hope so cause this show is amazing... please tell me there are more episodes
I am so excited
I've just started ep 6 and I thought this was a five part series, I'm getting really worried now !
maybe your watching the wrong version. there's a bbc version and a hulu version
@@zoyah1538 Binged all 12 it was amazing
It's 12 episodes .. I binge watched it twice
I thought it’s Anne Hathaway on the thumbnail 😂
Please tell me there are more
What's the name of the song?
Nearly all of Mariannes relationships with others, besides Connell, are portrayed as poor, cold and even abusive, such as that with her brother, her mother, her teachers and every other man she hooks up with. However this is all to make her relationship with Connel stand out and look special and purposeful.
Can anyone upload all the eps on here or dailymotion??? especially 2 and 3
I don't understand how they're 22 and 24, they literally look about 30?
It's deleted here! I didn't see anything like the the full episode. Hope it come back
fifty shades of three

@@2100s94er love this song so much :'))) honestly orla's music is what made me discover the series in the first place
its available in uk? its not working here
What is the name of the song on the trailer? Such a great soundtrack.
Heavy - Orla Gartland. Such a beautiful piece of music!
An absolutely brilliant video. Very well done!
You see Daisy, you should drop that utterly inept and amateurish Varey. The Daily Mail headline of 27 Jan 2021, says it all.
It reads: Paul Mescal insists 'there wasn't a huge amount of acting going on' in his realistic sex scenes with Normal People co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones because he 'liked her very much' The ‘chemistry wasn’t just superb acting, it was real! He continues: You know when you have "it",' of having chemistry with his scene partner. 'I knew when I was with Daisy that it felt natural, that there wasn't a huge amount of "acting" going on.
'Gushing about his co-star, Paul added: 'When you have that chemistry it makes it so much fun! Daisy and I liked each other very much' So that's probably the root of it: having a similar sense of humour, thinking about the world in a relatively similar way and being able to communicate all that.'
ive watched normal people once on iplayer when it first came out but im wondering wether to watch it for a second time or not
You shouldn’t... sometimes it ruins it
Madd 💯 💯
Hello. How can i watch this show outside the UK? Thanks.
I wonder too
You can use vpn

Koi bta skta yeh serial urdu mai dekhna ho to ksay dekh skty?
I Honestly
What's the name of the song please?
It is "Heavy" by Orla Gartland
This was filmed in my SCHOOL! 0:36 ... #notyouraverageday
Es muy parecida a Anne Hathaway
Anastasia Steel and Christian Grey
I cried a lot 😭 on this program u should get married awesome chemistry looks like made for each other
Great News. Normal People star Daisy Edgar-Jones ‘splits from boyfriend Tom Varey’:
About time too! Well done Daisy. The best decision of your life apart, that is, from becoming a superb actress. You have more talent in your little finger than the drip has in whole of his pathetic frame. You're just too beautiful. He's not even in your class. You'll never regret dropping that drip! The world is now your oyster.
I love this congrats to the duo they should marry each other on sn2
Any one know the name of the song
Maya Martinez heavy - orla gartland
Megan E thank you love xx
How about those of us outside the UK or the US? T_T
orla :')))
song?
Heavy by Orla Gartland!
EEE why passed away
thought i was gay - now i'm not so sure anymore...
I thought she was Dakota Johnson from fifty shades of grey
Lol ya poor man’s Dakota
💔
She resembles Winona Ryder
Dakota Johnson vibes in Fifty shades
What do heck does he say at 1:20 ?
"I did use to think that I could read your mind at times"
@@liabilityfoley thank you x
Why is this filmed in my school bye
Lol...
