I've been looking for this series for some years as I watched it as a teenager back in the day, this is just great and brings back the memories, Geof Hinsliff went on to play Don Brennan in Coronation Street for many years , also Kevin Moreton was in Corrie for a few episodes

Hi,@leedsguy41 Hi, I'm hoping you might be able to help me again. I've been searching for early 1980s episode of Play for tomorrow, entitled PUNTERS. It featued a very young Sean Bean, who played the part of Lurch. Another series I would love to watch again is THE BOY WHO WON THE POOLS, from the early 80s. To me, the only chance I've got for unearthing the Two series I've just mentioned is that someone out there has old video copies. I would truly appreciate any help you can provide. Many thanks Dave

This looks like it would have been a good series. Sad that so many good kids shows were lost from Britain and Canada. US has a lot of theirs but the studios refuse to release them.
Wow! I haven't seen this since the 70s. Been looking for it for years and assumed they had all been wiped but its great to see them. I still have the books of the series but this is even better.

Thanks for the upload, I remember this as a kid. I was going to write that his dad in real life was one of the leaders in our Boy's Brigade, but looked on imdb and that was the other boy in Nobody's House. Sorry for the useless information!!!

The actor who plays Ben (kevin sargent)was a well known child actor. I think he appeared in coronation street as a young hooligan terrorizing ken barlow. Also he was in the film version of All creatures great and small(or its sequel "It shouldn't happen to a vet") I know this cos I've watched both those films in the last week. I'm sure he was in another 70's series set in 1930's or similar. Don't recall him in anything as an adult though, I don't know if he died tragically young. He certainly was a talented young actor.
