I love how KCM has been trying to compare it to Light Rail in terms of frequency... but yet it stops at so many red lights making it not be a quick ride.
@@aandersen93 They for some reason decided to time Madison’s lights so if you miss one you miss ALL of them. Back in the day you could fly down Madison on the 12 without hitting a single light.
@@buckleytransit Yes it appears to be unfinished but I am glad , it is a departure from the other rapid ride routes, which are more like skip stop service.
Washington and California are the only two states with 2 or more systems operating with 5-door buses Seattle joins Spokane and Eugene being the only cities in the Northwest to operate them.
The low ground clearance has been causing suspension bottoming out issues with these, but it’s definitely a nice little fun line to ride with center stations.
I rode this last week when I went to the Central library. I don't hate it as much as y'all did apparently. But they do need to fix the signal priority. The trip I took heading downhill was actually almost full. The one going uphill not so much. It was also on Sunday so I think it was only running every 12-15 minutes or so.
@@rws91942 Westbound G Line is normally reliable, but since eastbound has to make those tight turns downtown, it can sometimes be up to 25 minutes late.
On my bus, 6400, it stayed on kneeling at 1st and Spring and got stuck and 6406, the other coach, also had some troubles, but succesfully rerouted, but my mate, 6402, was literally waiting for me at 4th Avenue.
1:24 listen how loud it is when it says g line to downtown Seattle via East Madison Street

I’d argue this is more “streetcar” than it is “Link”. That said, the G still is an overall departure from what I see RapidRide as - C, D, H, etc etc
@@jmstransitAbsolutely, the G Line to me feels extremely unfinished
