- She graced our television screens for many years playing the formidable Karabo Moroka on the popular soapie Generations, a character that many still call her by. After leaving the soapie in 2007, Connie Ferguson and her husband Shona Ferguson went on to start their own television company. The actors and executive producers dominated the television industry, with many deeming them the television power couple. Making and starring in their own hit shows. With a blissful marriage, close-knit family and soaring careers their lives were turned upside down when Shona Ferguson unfortunately passed away in 2021. She sat down with Duduzile Ramela to talk about loss, getting back to work and future projects.

Ahh my heart breaks for her 💔 Praying for her and her family for comfort. It feels like i know her, she's one of my favourite actresses. So happy to hear Connie obviously also loves the Lord. What a lovely interviewer.
The scary thing is that when you think you have won but only to loose😢☹️..she is battling so hard to hold tears back..the interview was done well.
Wow, may we all experience this type of true love. Thank you Mme Connnie for opening up.
The struggle of referring to your loved one in a past tense, as if you are "killing them" and yet in retrospect, they are late ... I felt that. So sorry Mme Ferguson, and thank you for shearing, yhooo
Karabo! Decades later, she looks as radiant and gorgeous as ever. 😍Sending love and light to Connie as she navigates these times of loss. May her faith remain strengthened. Praying for peace and healing. Love from Ghana 🇬🇭 ❤️

😅❤️
Me too. Pretty awesome perspective to have because many consider people over 50 to be old; which is not true at all.
My sister, my❤ aches, with and for you. This is my first encounter with you. I must commend you for drawing from your faith in JESUS. He will sustain you and carry you as He is the GOD that is a covenant keeping GOD. He promised to take care of the widow and the orphans. He will carry you through. Give the girls a long hug for me, from the LORD ❤❤ The LORD had need of your Sho, so see it as your ultimate sacrifice. Now! You can see and feel the pain YHWH/JEHOVAH felt when He lost His ONLY begotten son.🤗🤗😘😘

That zoom to her eyes when she started crying was soo off. I felt soo uncomfortable. What was the point of that? 😕
That was so wrong indeed, some camera man are insensitive
I was looking for this comment.
Ja it was really off!
Dudu Ramela is an amazing interviewer
I'm listening to this after my bf passed away in December, Its still a struggle for me to accept he is gone, gone with his love and kindness. Gone with our plans, hopes and dreams...but listening to you and looking at you living makes me feel its possible even though it is not easy. And I am taking that I will not finish grieving for Sandile even though people have different expectations when you were not married to that partner you lost.
I'm sorry for your loss 😢 Its not easy to loose a soulmate

I’m I the US and was binge watching The Queen season 1 on. Tubi. It was so great I started looking up the actors. When I saw Sho had passed in 2021 I was stunned. This lady is just that, a lady. Blessings to her and her family.

Deepest condolences 💐 ❤ really.
I remember Uncle Sho’s funeral was a few days after my mum’s funeral and let me tell you losing a loved one to Covid 💔broke me. And having to relate mam Connie when she mentioned that she saw him fade away from just that night when he got discharged touched me 😭. It simply triggered the image I had of my mum in bed and she was struggling to breathe but hey. Honestly where I got my strength from? Is truly God.
Been two years and I still can’t believe he’s gone 😢
One beautiful woman.. and I love how Thabile handled the interview.. I love you both ladies❤😢
Mmmmmh when I see you and Lynn Forbes I just can’t imagine how you go through each day. Your loss is beyond words, the circumstances around your loss may not be the same but you both lost tremendously people that were so close to you in different ways. Sending you light and love.
She's a woman of God and that's where her strength comes from, she's also on another level spiritually and understands that she will see him again ❤️

Connie you are a strong women of faith and an inspiration to us as women. When you spoke about your hubby when he was in hospital it brought me to tears. Stay strong Connie. We love you😘😘
Mam Connie's story reminds me so much of the passing of my uncle. I burst into tears every time she talks about Sho; I think of the pain my aunt & cousins experienced when their husband/father passed away - also c0v![d] related. It was terrible; we're still struggling with the grief to this day (almost 2 years later) & I cry when I think about him. Lost my grandmother first, & my uncle a few weeks later. Ahh, I love Connie & Sho's love; it was beautiful to witness. At least they have the videos to cherish forever. May he rest in peace.
I really admire this lady, she's so humble, strong and very talented. I wish God Almighty can bless her and give her courage all the time. Guys I really miss Mathapelo and Brutus Shakespeare Khoza so much. Looking forward to another of her mesmerizing stories.
Shes an inspiration to so many ♥️💐
