Oh God... How can someone can make a song like this? A FUCKING MASTER PIECE! Only Metal Gods can! What a powerful riff, accompanied with the perfect beat on drums by Scott Travis! And minute 3:27... Again... Oh God... They know the perfect way of making me cry... Epic... Simply EPIC! Surely one of the greatest in the album!

This song is positively intoxicating. Some of the fans are always looking for Priest songs to absolutely bash their heads in with brutality, like Painkiller ( the song ), or All guns blazing, and I've been admittedly guilty of that too. But if you sit back, relax, and just feel how heavy yet melodic this song is, not to mention the sheer artistry going on with all aspects of the song, it is truly mind blowing, at least to my ears. This isn't just a song, it's a piece of art....
the album goes easy at first, pretty good, you could have it in the background while doing something else. But then comes a point where you have to leave everything on hold and apreciate the brilliance of it.
Judas Priest my #1 Heavy Metal Band since 1982 - | I hear you loud and clear - the Priest rule forever and ever and ever forever and ever and ever & forever + + +
Maybe people thought it'd be crap because KK left the band. Ritchie Faulkner is a great fill in but noone can replace KK Downing. It has some great songs on it though imho.
The shifting sands conceal the truth Revealing only lies A crescent moon casts ghostly shapes As somewhere some thing flies We let ourselves be bled Secrets of the dead Deserted by the ghosts that knew Man's triumphs had no bounds Left starving by our own mistakes The sands reclaimed their ground We let ourselves be bled Secrets of the dead Time takes us down so deep Is this the place we seek? Secrets of the dead Secrets of the dead We never learn form our mistakes Imperfect till the end You can't pick up the pieces And the hearts we break can't mend As if they knew the gift they brought Was wasted on this earth They searched out for a better race On whom to bring rebirth We let ourselves be bled Secrets of the dead We let ourselves be bled Secrets of the dead Where angels fear to tread The secrets of the dead
This song is killer. Richie definitely proved himself. Metal God. No disrespect to KK by any means. KK is a goddamn legend. I am happy they found the Falcon.
and not gonna lie I don't like Faulkner's soloing style it sounds the same throughout 2 albums he's been with with same Zakk worship, doesn't fit with Priest
anytime Priest has a song that is almost 6 minutes long and great like secrets of the damned, i am very impressed but not surprised. 40 years of music at this point and still showing why they have been my favorite band since 1982.
best album they made imo all the songs are amazing and sound different in their own unique way and I've listen to all the previous albums and I think this is the best composed album and with not one bad song, a Masterpiece!
***** I love this album, but I think it would have been even better if there were only 10 songs. I could live without Metalizer (I think it's very weak), Redeemer of Souls and March of the Damned.
Am I the only one who enjoys Redeemer of Souls (album) more than Firepower? Okay, the production on Redeemer could have been better, I admit. But that doesn't detract from the high quality songs. While Firepower has not one bad song, there are at least three tracks on Redeemer that I enjoy much more than any on Firepower: Dragonaut, Battle Cry, and Secrets of the Dead. And, as for me, the three I just named are among the top dozen songs Priest has ever done. That's just me, but I'm sold on ROS!
Fucking Best song on the Album, gave me chills! Cant wait to see them on Tour, got my ticket for Glendale, Arizona on 11/12. Priest are the metal gods forever.....
this, to me, is the genius of this band in a nutshell. A simple, well-crafted song that creates a mood so tangible and captivating that it's just thrilling!
This kinda reminds me of a Fight song like Laid to Rest or maybe even Halford off of Crucible. The follow-ups to each weren't really up to expectations. No doubt that's been weighing on Rob for years and we finally see what would happen if JP did one of those songs. The answer; pure awesomeness
This whole album is epic, a "tribute" of sorts to many, many great sounds/riffs/solos by not just Priest but other Metal Gods; I hear undeniable Maiden/Murray influence, some Deep Purple, Kirk Hammet and many others that no doubt will emerge as I digest this monstrous work...
Que se le puede reprochar al maestro! Alguien que tenga la experiencia, la historia, la altura de estos tremendos músicos, que arroje la primera piedra jaja!!
***** Sweet. I am so excited because "Battle Cry" came in the mail today! I have not heard it yet. It looks amazing in the way that it was filmed from what I saw online.

Stef Hammer WOW Man! I really love Gamma Ray! They are my second favorite band just after Judas. Avalon is a very good song, one of my favorites!

Dragonaut
Judas Priest
Welcome to my world of steel
Master of my domain
Cower as the pain's unsealed
Disasters where I'll reign
Father of Sin
I'll drag you all in
Bow down as I petrify
Fire in the sky
Paralyzed with fear
You know you're gonna die
Dragonaut is near
Icon to the fall of man
Worshipped like a king
Fearless as I now condemn
Every living thing
Father of Sin
I'll drag you all in
Bow down as I petrify
Fire in the sky
Paralyzed with fear
You know you're gonna die
Dragonaut is near
Father of Sin
I'll drag you all in
Bow down as I petrify
Relish the blaze
Left all in a daze
He came and consumed and let fly
Fire in the sky
Paralyzed with fear
You know you're gonna die
Dragonaut is near
Fire in the sky
Paralyzed with fear
You know you're gonna die
Dragonaut is near

Exactly the creativity is mind blowing ❓🤯
such mysterious this track is! the whole Redeemer of Souls album is too good!
+kazi riasat mysterious is the word to describe it!
@@Eliskoopa: Redeemer of Priest!
Thank you . And underrated
the album goes easy at first, pretty good, you could have it in the background while doing something else. But then comes a point where you have to leave everything on hold and apreciate the brilliance of it.
+Mario V. Salazar : an exact description
It has pretty good songs, but they aren't the majority, unfortunately.
I've been a priest fan for over 30 years and this is by far the best album and they were brilliant at barcelona
Judas Priest my #1 Heavy Metal Band since 1982 - | I hear you loud and clear - the Priest rule forever and ever and ever forever and ever and ever & forever + + +
I agree. Redeemer is as good or better as any album they've ever done!
I'm honestly surprised this album is not more popular, wtf? it's definitely good enough to be way more popular
***** IT sold well.
+Flopus that's what I don't understand. its so fluent and reaks of experience
@@sakhilemthembu8438 One of my favorite Priest albums!
Amen to that.
Maybe people thought it'd be crap because KK left the band. Ritchie Faulkner is a great fill in but noone can replace KK Downing. It has some great songs on it though imho.
one of the best songs of this century. priest did it again.
This song absolutely floored me. Haven't heard a song that hit me so hard in ages…
It's incredible
This is easily the best track on the album.
***** THis and Halls of Valhalla are the heart and soul of this album for me
Beginning Of The End
@@channel5980 Good ballad
The shifting sands conceal the truth
Revealing only lies
A crescent moon casts ghostly shapes
As somewhere some thing flies
We let ourselves be bled
Secrets of the dead
Deserted by the ghosts that knew
Man's triumphs had no bounds
Left starving by our own mistakes
The sands reclaimed their ground
We let ourselves be bled
Secrets of the dead
Time takes us down so deep
Is this the place we seek?
Secrets of the dead
Secrets of the dead
We never learn form our mistakes
Imperfect till the end
You can't pick up the pieces
And the hearts we break can't mend
As if they knew the gift they brought
Was wasted on this earth
They searched out for a better race
On whom to bring rebirth
We let ourselves be bled
Secrets of the dead
We let ourselves be bled
Secrets of the dead
Where angels fear to tread
The secrets of the dead
@@BlakeMaxwellHart thats what I ghought too. But it could be worse, this could be written by Accept.
Agreed. Thus album is so underrated.
The brilliance of the band is on full display on this one.
This song is killer. Richie definitely proved himself. Metal God. No disrespect to KK by any means. KK is a goddamn legend. I am happy they found the Falcon.
this riff's probably Glenn's idea, too heavy for Richie's style
and not gonna lie I don't like Faulkner's soloing style it sounds the same throughout 2 albums he's been with with same Zakk worship, doesn't fit with Priest
This song sounds so out- of- this- world. It takes me to another realm of existence. Epic.
Is the best album of the history of metal...!! Great Judas Priest /,,/

This song gives me mad Crucible vibes! Sounds like something Halford would have put on his second Halford record. That said, I LOVE it.
anytime Priest has a song that is almost 6 minutes long and great like secrets of the damned, i am very impressed but not surprised. 40 years of music at this point and still showing why they have been my favorite band since 1982.
Although the members of judas priest are 50 + years old ,they still rocking hard
+spiros p 3 of them are 60+ :)
It's a tie between this song and March of the Damned as my fav.... love the whole album
i think that so many people have different favorite songs on this album is a testament to its greatness. I love this, Dragonaut and Battle Cry!
Favorite Song of this album!🤘🤘🤘
This is one of my very favorite of all Priest songs. It has a regal tone to it--a real presence!
Beginning of the End brings me back to Dreamer Deceiver days! Brilliant! \m/
Judas Priest forever!!!
I love the guitar solo to the album
Such a greatest song the guitars are precious
Clássica, uma das minhas preferidas que vive em meu coração... Judas never die

+Eliskoopa can only agree with ya, man
+Eliskoopa Only metalizer felt forced, redeemer and march are great songs.
Man March of the Damned is one of my favorites form the album, and I quite like Metalizer. The title track is kinda bland, though.

It's no Secret of the Dead that I'm crazy about Judas Priest--and I think "Redeemer" is one of their best albums!
Love this album. It is brilliant from start to finish.
Fucking Best song on the Album, gave me chills! Cant wait to see them on Tour, got my ticket for Glendale, Arizona on 11/12. Priest are the metal gods forever.....

This song is SICK!
typical '70ies old skool bluesy hard&heavy that reminds😀 me on *beck, bogart and appice* e.g.
Judas priest is very good band
That's an understatement. They ROCK \m/

Great composition this!

Why didn't they play this live.Classic Priest structure.
+HARPO1ME It's a brilliant song, but wouldn't work too well live. It's too slow and atmospheric

Wicked priest song 🤘😍🤘
Priest has no peer.
very good
Those palm mutes... wow! Makes the hairs on my arms stand up lol
3:17 solo....That is Glenn, not Ritchie, right? In any event....one of the best solo parts on the whole CD.
TheCorrectViews, the whole solo is by Richie I'm sure. Only the presolo guitar melody is by Glenn. The style of playing is obvious after some time.
Bozhidar Yordanov I have been a fan since "Screaming" and I don't think that you are right I really feel that it is both.

Considering the U.S. current and future state of affairs, the lyric " we let ourselves be bled " seems entirely fitting.

secrets of the dead, i might have had Iron Maidens Children of the Damned song on my mind, but that is isnt a bad thing.
There's a definite Maiden-like riff in there
