Awwwwww…one of the things I’ve started doing once in a while with one of my cats, who is now hard of hearing due to age. I want to make sure she knows that even now, when from her perspective I’m getting a lot stealthier, that she’s still safe and there will only be good surprises. ❤
Literally breakfast in bed. I love how you put the food near them and you can see their tiny snouts twitching as the smell of food wafts over to them before they even open their eyes.
How do they manage to open a can without the cat waking in the first place, or have hot, cooked food, or the sound of the bag of rations…. That’s the part surprises me.
Well, there are three options. 1: most cat food containers don’t require a can opener. For those that do, most food has some sort of can opener requirement. So like if you are sleeping in and someone runs the vacuum cleaner, you wait out the noise and may go back to sleep if it’s early enough. There are also manual can openers that make much less noise. 2: heating food up is common. If you rarely give cats scraps of food that they might want to eat, then they will learn to ignore the sounds of cooking on the stove or oven, or ignore the microwave or toaster. Same for the can opener in the last scenario, if it’s electric. 3: the bag is tricker, but like the others, plenty of things can make the sound. I actually (sort of) trained my cat to only respond to the food bag being opened if she hears the clanking of food in her dish. And even then she would sometimes choose to ignore the sound and wait until she was hungry to eat. So it is possible to sneak food out for a cat while they are asleep by using a manual can opener, or train them not to think anything of what’s going on. It actually works. There was a time when I would give my pets cheese scraps so my cat would run over when she heard the door being opened. After a while (since I had learned that constant cheese was destroying my cat’s digestive system) I decided that I couldn’t give my pets cheese any more and stopped. My cat stopped responding to the cheese drawer being opened and slept it out. (Technically I did the same thing with my dog, but I felt like it was unfair to give the dog cheese and not the cat.)
I’m not in this video, but one of my cats is hard of hearing now due to age. I’ve done the sneak up with a treat trick a few times now, because I want her to know that even if she doesn’t always hear me approach, that she’s safe and only good things will happen when I “sneak up.” ❤
I had a roommate in college we woke up the same way. Usually cheetos.....by senior year, the whole couch smelled like cheetos, & Sammy made class long enough to GRADUATE! (Good times)
If I wanted to call my cats from the yard I just had to tap a spoon against the can and the cat came sprinting from anywhere. It´s like magic teleportation
1:31 (calico cat fast asleep on the couch until her owner puts some food in front of her nose to get her to sniff it out) 1:37 (calico cat wakes up to a Kitty treat and she’s hungry) calico cat: hey, that wasn’t expected of you, human 1:38 (meows)
The quickest way for me to call my cats is to run the can opener.
This is one way to wake me up instantly in a good mood. Such cute little furbabies 💕💕💕
Shut up

Cat knows the sound of that can... yep it's food time.
Cat: *cryosleep*
Hooman: *opens can in kitchen 50 ft away*
Cat: *takes less than 5 seconds to appear behind human*
So cute, look at all the babys

You probably will not remember about it as you get reincarnated.

You must really love calicoes, so do I 😻 🐈
Unfortunately i can't do this. I can't get a treat out of a bag without my cat noticing. And if it's already out of the bag she smells it miles away.
Works with humans too. If I make breakfast and bacon is a component, my wife always wakes up.
If you are ever worried when you see your cat unmoving in a deep sleep just wave a treat in front of their nose
Touching their moustache wake them up befor smelling food 🐱
It’s like hard starting your car
The white cat running out of bed looked scared
From =w= to OwO
I shake the cat food bag.
The instant awake with the can
have you ever had a dream kitty that you were so sure was real...
how would know the difference between the dream world, and the real world..
most of these cats wake up from touching their whiskers around the face
I love that Turkish van at 0:16! 😻
idk if this is a turkish van, i have an adopted former stray kitty and she looks the same
Cat loves food yea yea yeaaaaahh!
A bacon sandwich works every time - on me!

Omg so cute
When cat wakes u-
Cat: ME EAT!
Lol! Some cats eat aggressively some taste it first. Used to have the kinda of cats that would hook your hands to get the food out of them. 😜
My cat wakes up before I get close
2:28 and 2:35 are my favorite ones 😂
I love this video !
Cute kittys
2:38 how does that happen? How does someone eat and their cat sleep during so?
Always ready for a knack!
