If only this is a normal romantic comedy Korean drama. It would started with Sunny fell in love with the Emperor first, but his heart belongs to another woman, maybe the former Empress? The Emperor is aware of how dysfunctional his family is, but he was never apart of any terrible things done by them. He marries Sunny because as an Emperor he needs an Empress. Sunny is the only woman he knows quite well ever since they met during Sunny's performance in the theatre. He decided to marry her even though it's not out of love. Then eventually, the Emperor started to fall in love with her. He doesn't go along well with Sunny's family because of how he hurt Sunny by ignoring her feelings despite of being his wife. He tries his best to win over Sunny's family since he has fallen deeply in love with her. Eventually, they accept him and all of them would have a meal together as one happy and normal family. The Emperor and Empress would both work together to put an end to the Imperial Family's wrong doings. But..........this isn't that kind of drama.
It's more complicated so could make you confused and curios in one time. I always feel like this after watche it. "I dont want watch it again," but in next week, I watch it because of my curiousity. If you watch all episode in one time, without interval, you would throw this film. But, if you watch it with interval, you can feel my feeling. Sometime we hate and sometime we love all character in this film.

His personality is typical of chaebol male leads. Now if he didn't help cover up the murders or even tried to murder his women, this would have been quite the romcom.
