I like watching the clips of the Emperor and Princess Ari. The bodyguard + Sunny couple is boring to me when I tried to watch their scene, and knowing how kdramas rarely ever choose the 2nd lead as end game, I'm mostly sticking to clips lmao

Lol I understand But when you watch the drama in a marathon like I did you won't be this confused since everything he has done would be fresh in your mind. To be honest i think he is a psycho one ep he hates sunnys gut the next he has feelings for her out of nowhere... I think the writer did not introduce his feelings development well. Its pretty weird when you watch everything in one day, you will feel something is missing. My op
elisabeth balde isnt that why dramas just play 1 or 2 episodes per week? so that the audiences have the time to understand the characters' feeling. we human can feel something the writer wanted us to feel without the need to put it on all to the screen. i mean, they allow us to think, to feel sympathy in the period of time while waiting for the new episodes realease.

I pointed out the fact that the writer never gave us a single hint about his feelings for sunny like i said he literally hated her trying to get rid of her at all cost and literally the next ep he starts to care about her and stuff its a big big jump you will feel like what the heck happened.

Widya I’m also a huuuge fan of sageuks but I have to admit that lately I haven’t seen anything exceptional among Korean ones... If you haven’t tried, I highly recommend Chinese historical dramas❤️ they usually really long but a lot of them have an amazing cinematography and music, same goes for script and acting😊🔥

If only this is a normal romantic comedy Korean drama. It would started with Sunny fell in love with the Emperor first, but his heart belongs to another woman, maybe the former Empress? The Emperor is aware of how dysfunctional his family is, but he was never apart of any terrible things done by them. He marries Sunny because as an Emperor he needs an Empress. Sunny is the only woman he knows quite well ever since they met during Sunny's performance in the theatre. He decided to marry her even though it's not out of love. Then eventually, the Emperor started to fall in love with her. He doesn't go along well with Sunny's family because of how he hurt Sunny by ignoring her feelings despite of being his wife. He tries his best to win over Sunny's family since he has fallen deeply in love with her. Eventually, they accept him and all of them would have a meal together as one happy and normal family. The Emperor and Empress would both work together to put an end to the Imperial Family's wrong doings. But..........this isn't that kind of drama.

Now that it's shown thay he didn't actually kill Empress Sohyun (despite he did contribute to her murder), I feel less awful for rooting him at moments like this. 😅😅
he didn't actually kill his late wife nor WooBin's omma, but he during both time he still didn't do what was right.
He may not of killed, but he was part of the cover up. Plus had an affair with several women. Then tried to kill one of them. Attempting Murder is still a big crime.
His life went to shit when he started going out with Min Yura. He was still an enormous jerk prior to that tho but that could be blamed to his upbringing. His personality is typical of chaebol male leads. Now if he didn't help cover up the murders or even tried to murder his women, this would have been quite the romcom.
Why do they play with our heart like this??? Why dont they just give us enough reason to hate him??? Why do they have to make us pity him??? Why why why??? 😑😑😑
