Winter Greetings! Will you join our cozy winter bucket list and invite a friend? ❄️ P.S. This is the first of 4 advent videos we'll be putting out every Sunday leading up until Christmas🕯️
As always, a lovely video with two of my most favorite people on social media. It's a beautiful reminder for mindful living and I'm enjoying watching with a cup of chai and a gingerbread cookie. Thank you for sharing! ❤️
Just found you! ( and subscribed) . My way of giving back is to make homemade items. Felted landscape art, canning Christmas Jam, tomte ornaments, canned soups for long winter nights, herbal teas from my garden. These gifts I share with friends, family and older clients ( I'm a massage therapist) who may not have someone near by and appreciate a cup of tea and homemade scones with Christmas Jam. ♥️
A lovely video with great ideas. Decorating, reading, crafting and watching movies are my favorite. As far as giving, I used to be a school nurse and just retired last year. I organized giving gifts to the needier familes in our school and would fill a basket for each family with food for a Christmas dinner. My husband always asks us to buy something for a child, donate it, take a picture of it and give him the picture in a small box for him to open. My daughter will pay off one or two layaways for families each year anonymously. We have been very blessed.
My Mother was Austrian, so I grew up with Jause, like your Fika ❤️ We usually had tea, coffee and home baked goodies, sometimes from a bakery. Mom made apple or poppyseed strudel, gugelhupf, pies and cookies. This is a lovely tradition and it warms my heart to remember our jausen with Mom. All great suggestions for a bucket list. I enjoy your videos, thank you so much ❤️
I reread Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol every year, Dickens' books are great to read in winter. I like to watch Little Women, any version will do, the old one with Elizabeth Taylor and the 90s one with Winona Ryder are my favorites though. My daughter was a preemie born 10 days before Christmas nearly 7 years ago. So to give, I like to take my fabric scraps and make little quilts for the babies in the NICU. Happy cozy winter to you, Lindsay and Jonas!❄☃️🦌🎄🌟
@@itsacharminglife the doctors and nurses were so kind to us at such a scary time. They even had a Santa come in and hold the babies and take photos. I feel like it's the least I can do. Bless you both too💖
@@elizabethp4064 yes! It is so nice to know others read the same old books that I enjoy. I love Jane Eyre as well. It is also a long cozy reading in winter too. Happy Holidays Elizabeth!🌨🌲❄
Fall and winter are my favorite time. The signal a change to be viewed in a positive way, to move forward and enjoy the experience and seek the good, not the bad. This will reap peace of mind. This is something that can not be found anywhere but in our hearts, the simplest things are at our fingertips. Inside us.
If you can taste it, you can bake it…great advice😂. I turned 70 this year and I find it’s important to challenge myself. I’m teaching myself to make hands stitched button holes. I volunteer at a food pantry and love helping others.
So nice of you both to take time to address this important issue of what the Winter can do to people. We are away from family and love staying inside too, if I can as do not like it too cold and we are in our early 70's and do not feel so wonderful. Love our cozy home too. You are so right with your list of what can be done. I am a big reader. TY! * very important issue you are addressing for people*
Thank you Carol, that is nice to hear you enjoyed the list! Hope you are having a good winter so far. Hope you have a tall stack of good books :) Merry Christmas when the day arrive!
I love your philosophy on enjoying the simple pleasures of life that not only enrich your life but someone else’s. I often write letters, even to neighbors on my street because it’s so nice to receive a handwritten note among bills. And I feed the wild animals year round because I’m an animal rescuer who loves animals beyond belief.
Tea Spectral has become our absolute favorite! Chin Chin is so delicious. Well, all their teas are delicious. Thank you so much for bringing this company to our attention. They are lovely people!
I just love your cozy cottage bucket list, I have done the decorating, will soon do some holiday baking and I have started to do hot teas with honey and home made soups. I agree self care.
My husband just bought me the whole Road to Avonlea series for Christmas! You are quickly becoming one of my favorite UA-cam "show". It is so sweet and wholesome. Jonas, you have such a surprisingly cute sense of humor. 😁 ~ Heather ~
A wonderful list that all can enjoy! When I learned about Hygge about four years ago it really changed my experience with winter! Now I look forward to the art of wintering!!! Thank you for bringing beauty and gentleness into a world in need of your lovely spirits!
Beautiful video ❤ I always love your content. The cottage looks like a Christmas card, or dreams of Christmas' past. You have both done a splendid job.I hope you guys have a lovely, warm and cozy holiday season.
Aww that's so kind, as you can probably tell we have am obsession with postcards (especially vintage ones) and sometimes we really do feel like we're living in a Christmas card ❄️
I love all the things to do on your list. Winter walks are magical plus I love the sounds that you don’t get to hear any other times. The crunching of the snow under my boots & when the snow falls. Afterwards some Fika near a fire or watching a show or movie is the best. I think a new one for me is to try to make homemade ornaments & maybe some edible ones for the animals too.🤍
.....Can we just say how AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL Jonas ' Artwork is ...??!! I am just enthralled with his Artwork, it has an Ethereal quality that draws you in, you want to take in the detail and study it.( Being a Creative Soul, I have a great appreciation of his work. I do draw, etc , my favourite medium is charcoal. ) I definitely am interested in the postcards, Bambi print, and the tea. Yes, Shopping Small is something that was basically " the normal. Your Bucket List incorporates things that are quite " do- able " and I would add two more .. : A indoor " picnic " with Cosy Food and a Fire in the Fireplace, in one Lounge ( living room) . No Fireplace? Use candles set on surfaces and where you are dining. , to create that mood. And,, the next thing to add is to watch Lindsay and Jonas ! I adore your Channel, and love how you include the wildlife, the birds, and such gorgeous scenery in your Posts. May your Winter hold lovely memories, sweet surprises and the things that are important to you both. Cheers and Blessings~ S.
Here in Cape Town Christmas is quite warm, but I would be very charmed to experience a magical snowy Christmas. I really love these self care tips as I'm exhausted and need to just slow down and rest. Thanks you for your wonderful videos, you're both so wholesome and soothing. Take care.
Since I’m new here it’s a treat to watch the old video’s which are timeless anyway. January is my month. I self care-read-write cards-craft -forage and dream. Pumpkin pie and cookies are next as I was sick across Christmas. Never too late to get cozy and festive 🪵🐾🍄🌙
What a treat to find this on a cold and dreary pre-winter afternoon, because your videos always warm my heart and lift my spirits. May you have a holiday season filled with peace, joy, and love.
I’m a new subscriber and I had to pause the video to comment on how absolutely entrancing and relaxing this is, and how wholesome it is that you two are celebrating the season together in this way, incorporating cultures and nature and coziness ✨🍪🎄 these are amazing ideas to romanticize the winter season, I’m so glad I found this channel! Now back to watching 🥰
Great list! My hubby is now joining me in watching your videos. He's a hygge lover also. Since you like Road to Avonlea, I think you would also like Lark Rise to Candleford. Wonderful series! Thanks for all the cozy videos! Y'all are such a blessing!
Wish you guys could put together a little cookbook of your baking favorites! BTW Road to Avonlea series is our absolute favorite and my husband and I always enjoy watching a couple episodes every night. ❤️
I stumbled upon this youtube and I absolutely ❤️ love it. So heartwarming 💖 💕 💓 and cozy. Reminded me of my childhood days with family. Thank you for sharing. I will be following you.
Your cottage is so beautiful! So pretty. I love to watch" It's a Wonderful Life" for Christmas and "A Christmas Carol". Also love to make Christmas decorations and make Christmas treats- cookies, cakes. Your life at the cottage is so peaceful and l decorate for Christmas and make Christmas floral arrangements!!
I've been catching up on videos that I haven't watched and they comfort me when I'm feeling anxious. I haven't made or followed a bucket List yet, but I'm working on the getting out and getting fresh air with my son. It's so hard being a stay at home mom with social anxiety, I just want to be a shut in some times, but I know I have to be better for myself and my sin. Today we are going to feed the ducks.
What a great Cozy Cottage Winter Bucket List. I have never thought of doing a bucket list but after your video, which I totally loved, I want to do one. I do love the Self Care one, I live in California and it get very hectic and we sometimes forget about our own health. Reading a book, also something I have struggled with but something I would love to start and finish. I really want to sit and relax and truly think about this bucket list. Thank you for bringing this to mind.
So glad you liked the list! I'm from California originally and I understand how life doesn't slow down there as much in the winter as in other places so you have to be more conscious for slowing down during the holidays! ❄️
Love all your videos and your cute little cottage. Sorry I missed getting the Chin Chin tea tin. I have the other one and just love it. Have you considered making matching mugs/ cups, I'm sure they would be a hit.
Winter was my 2nd least favorite season but now I've learned to enjoy it in many more new ways thanks to the bucket list which I do lots of those things
Always wonderful to visit with you. I have managed a few from the list. Fika time of course, holiday movies, walks and giving back in the form of donations to local thrift stores ...I donated a lot of my wardrobe, some home decor and most recently nearly all my Christmas decorations as I downsized our tree and then Impy knocked it down so for now only a small spot on the kitchen counter is decorated but that too also counts on your list. Not up to doing cards at least right now. We will see. Anywho my dear charming friends always nice to see you.Much love to you both.
@@itsacharminglife Haven't had the heart to put the tree up since Impy knocked it down 😕 Kind of took the steam out of my holiday sails. Not sure it will go back up.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful idea living in Miami we don't necessarily have a winter but I volunteer for the Christmas season every year at the Deering Estate it's a home that was built in the 1800's and I get to dress up in costume and learn about the history of the home and the area at that time the state is decorated absolutely beautifully and we have evening strolls this year we are dressing in Regency fashion
This was so calming I could watch it over and over. This time of year I like to make cinnamon ornaments to hang on the tree. It's so easy - cinnamon, cloves and ginger mixed in with hot applesauce, roll it out and use your favorite cookie cutters. Let dry for a couple of days remembering to flip them every so often so they don't curl up. The whole house smells incredible and the ornaments last for years!
This was lovely - thank you so much for sharing. I have just discovered seasonal reading and like the idea of reading a book during the season I am currently experiencing. I also heard about watching lots of winter/festive films on the lead-up to Christmas - yet to try this. Best wishes from Lottie in England
I am here and listening! This is the first time I have decided to embrace winter, Thanks to you guys, im usually miserable this time of year but decided im going to make the best of it. Chicago weather can be tough in the winter but you guys are seriously helping me get through it!
Awww we're so glad our list can help! since Jonas is from Sweden so he's really taught me how to not only handle but enjoy the winter (since I'm from CA!) We hope you have a very cozy winter time ❄️
@@itsacharminglife that's so awesome that he has showed you different ways to embrace the winter. I've binge watched a lot of your videos so I bought a book on fikka and a book on hygge. You all have got me ready to face the winter in a different manner!!! I'm 100% Greek but I'm totally going to incorporate some of the things he was saying into our home life that are native to where he is from! Keep rocking on! You guys are awesome!!
Such a perfect list! I decorated and watched the first holiday movie of the year (Christmas Vacation, I watch it and Christmas Story every year) over the weekend. Looking forward to making/crafting Christmas gifts this year, I usually do handmade soaps and one of the soaps I have planned this time has an Earl Grey-inspired fragrance!
Okay, I've never ever heard anyone else say that they like Road to Avonlea!!! I grew up on that show and absolutely and LOVE it! And now I live on PEI! haha :D Happy Winter you two, cheers!
@@itsacharminglife We had lived here previously when my husband was in culinary school, then moved back West, but just HAD to move back. There is no place like it!
I just came across your channel. It is so sweet and cozy! ❤ My brother just gave me a Kitchenaid stand mixer because a few weeks ago I saw a video about Swedish kardamummabullar. I am a wonderful cook but not a baker but I want to make these so badly I am going to learn!!! Then I will have my own fika!! You two are a darling couple!
Welcome to Charming Life, Laura! Mmm, we love Swedish cinnamon (or cardamom) buns and even have a recipe on our blog. What a wonderful gift right before winter. Many cozy fika times await you!
So charming! Your bucket list is delightful. I enjoy all of those things. We are slowly putting up decorations. It is fun to pull out our box of Christmas books each year, and read favorite stories, especially ones we read to our boys, and now read to our grandchildren. I also use a diffuser with oils, that bring some of those lovely scents, as well as healthful benefits. We watch PBS online, and I was excited to see a nice winter line up with All creatures great and small, Little Women, and Around the World in 80 days. Each episode airs free online for a week or 2 , so it is easy to watch as they are shown, as long as you have intetnet.
I just ❤️ your heart warming and calming videos so I definitely am going to try some things on ur wintertime bucket list to help keep my stress level down…thank you for your inspiration to do so😊🙏
Blessings to you all and happy holidays. All the things on your bucket list for winter are things we try to do. We also have a large wood burning stove that just about heats the whole house and it's so warming and lovely to see the fire burning through the glass door.
@@itsacharminglife It's a lot of work but it's the cheapest way to heat and very warm. Also creates a mess carrying wood in, disposing of ash from the stove.
Oooh!!! All the charming, cozy feelings! I love your winter bucket list, Lindsay and Jonas! Thank you for sharing! Happy Cozy Holidays to you both!🎄✨☃️
I have been busy making gnomes for my Christmas gifts. I currently have in my gnome home made up to 36 of these little guys out of the thrifted items needed for such a big undertaking. Merry Christmas 🎄🦌❤❄🎄🦌❤❄
Bonjour! I love the idea of orange bird feeders. I stick wooden skewers (2) across the orange half to provide a perch for our little feathery friends. Something to try?
I’m looking forward to making the saffron buns again this winter! They are one of my favorite from when I first found your channel during the beginning of the pandemic. I always have favorite vintage movies and books for this time of year, starting with Miracle on 42nd Street that I watch on Thanksgiving day and Little women(book & movies), Jane Eyre(book & movies), Emma which follows the seasons, It’s a wonderful life, white Christmas. Etc… I also love to get out the Christmas vinyl records from my vintage record collection to listen to! They were playing as I decorated my house and Christmas trees. I hope you plan a live Fika time event this winter!!! I’ll bring the saffron buns! 🥰
Aww having Christmas records playing while decorating sounds so cozy! We love that the saffron buns are becoming apart of your winter traditions ❄️ we hoping to do a Christmas or new years live stream, it's been so long since we got to chat with the fika friends! 💙
You guys, I wasn't feeling it this yr, decided not to do much decorating at all. I kept 5 kittens last yr, they're still a curious bunch this yr. I thought about just dressing up the mantle, china cabinet and pie safe, after watching this, I'm back in the mood. THANKS 😊🎄
Wonderful vlog you both have such a delightful way of decorating for holidays or changing seasons through out the year. I have yet to start decorating but will start this week. My great granddaughter reminded me yesterday that Thanksgiving is over and I still have fall decorations LOL I promised as soon as it was the first I will put them away 💖
I have decorated my front door and tree. Yes. Very early but I love the season. I love watching you bake. My baking is not very good unless it is bread or cinnamon rolls. I can do these. I love fika. I usually have fika when it is super cold in the afternoon. I am enjoying your videos very much. I forgot to ask! Where did you find the adorable owl candle flame dispenser? I love owls. Thank you.

I’m excited for winter because of this video. I didn’t feel festive which normally I always do but you got me the feeling. Love it❤️
Aww we're so glad this video could help you get into the spirit of the season ❄️
I really needed this today. Thank you. This was cozy and warm and you two are so creative. I just love your cottage lifestyle!
Aww so glad we could be of help ❄️🕯️
Love all your videos and your cute little cottage. Sorry I missed getting the Chin Chin tea tin. I have the other one and just love it. Have you considered making matching mugs/ cups, I'm sure they would be a hit.
Aw, thanks for ordering our tea tins! Mugs is a fun idea we've considered just not sure the right direction to go with it yet.
Winter was my 2nd least favorite season but now I've learned to enjoy it in many more new ways thanks to the bucket list which I do lots of those things
Winter can be a hard time to love but once you learn ways to embrace it gets so much easier to enjoy ❄️
Lovely.....you both make me smile.
Aww your comment makes us smile too!
Awww Christmas with Impy and one little Christmas tree still sounds cozy 🎄😻
@@itsacharminglife Haven't had the heart to put the tree up since Impy knocked it down 😕 Kind of took the steam out of my holiday sails. Not sure it will go back up.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful idea living in Miami we don't necessarily have a winter but I volunteer for the Christmas season every year at the Deering Estate it's a home that was built in the 1800's and I get to dress up in costume and learn about the history of the home and the area at that time the state is decorated absolutely beautifully and we have evening strolls this year we are dressing in Regency fashion
That's so festive and fun to dress up and go back in time ✨
You guys are the cutest! Love your wholesome and genuine way. Great video as always ❤️🎄
Aw thanks Whitney! 🎄
Wow what a fun idea, would love to see how they look!
So lovely and cozy
Aw thanks ❄️
This was lovely - thank you so much for sharing. I have just discovered seasonal reading and like the idea of reading a book during the season I am currently experiencing. I also heard about watching lots of winter/festive films on the lead-up to Christmas - yet to try this. Best wishes from Lottie in England
It's so cozy to read/watch something wintery in the winter ❄️
Love your winter bucket list, hope you had a great weekend 😀
Happy first advent weekend! 🕯️
Love the bucket list.♥️❤️🌺
Thanks Linda!❄️✨
This made me so happy and excited for winter.
Aw thanks Gretchen! We're glad the video could bring some winter expectation❄️
I like the vibe of this video. Very inspiring and cosy, thanks for sharing ☺️ Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭I‘m Danish too by the way!
Thanks so much for watching!
Oh what a cozy and hyggelig Video! Your cottage looks so beautiful in the snow… I hope there will be snow in my area as well this winter ☃️
Oh yes, you know hyggelig! ✨🕯️
Photography and imagery in this video is amazing! Thanks for putting me in the holiday spirit!
It's our great pleasure ❄️✨
Awe, it was so nice to follow your bucket list....makes the christmas spirit coming soon 🧡🎄🧡🧡🧡
It's crazy that it's December tomorrow! ✨🎄
Just loved this! I love your bucket list I think I will do your list too!
We're so excited you'd like to participate! ❄️
Look forward to your videos
So glad! 🎄
It’s so lovely. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks Gina! 🕯️❄️
Oh your soaps sound like such lovely gifts! 🎁
Okay, I've never ever heard anyone else say that they like Road to Avonlea!!! I grew up on that show and absolutely and LOVE it! And now I live on PEI! haha :D Happy Winter you two, cheers!
Ohmygoodness, you live on PEI?! How magical that must be ✨ we didn't grow up watching Road to Avonlea but it's one of our favorite shows anyways! ❄️
@@itsacharminglife We had lived here previously when my husband was in culinary school, then moved back West, but just HAD to move back. There is no place like it!
@@AM-bm2xw we dream of visiting PEI all the time, seems like a slice of heaven ✨
Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching! 🎄
Thank you for this lovely Vlogmas!
Glad you like them!
I really enjoyed watching your upload!!
Keep up the excellent work!!
I'm looking forward to another awesome video!
Take care and stay in touch! 🌷🙏🌷🙏🌷
Thanks! ✨
Your videos always make me smile😊
Aw we're so glad! ✨❄️
I love your list very much. It shows us to slow down, not stress and enjoying winter and the holiday. Wishing you very Merry Christmas. 🎄
Aw that's precisely what we hoped, because we need the reminder too! ✨
Thanks for sharing about your charming Christmas traditions ❄️ We loved All Creatures Great and Small and almost everything else on PBS Masterpiece ✨
Thank you.
❄️✨🎄
I just ❤️ your heart warming and calming videos so I definitely am going to try some things on ur wintertime bucket list to help keep my stress level down…thank you for your inspiration to do so😊🙏
Aww we designed the list to help us with out stress too, so we hope it helps you too! ✨
Blessings to you all and happy holidays. All the things on your bucket list for winter are things we try to do. We also have a large wood burning stove that just about heats the whole house and it's so warming and lovely to see the fire burning through the glass door.
Oh we're a bit envious of your stove, how cozy! 🔥
@@itsacharminglife It's a lot of work but it's the cheapest way to heat and very warm. Also creates a mess carrying wood in, disposing of ash from the stove.
Love this - I’m having a horrible day... this was very cozy and relaxing and much needed-as usual ❤️🙏🏼🎄❄️🦌
Aww hope your day gets better! ❄️💙✨
@@itsacharminglife 💚❤️ thank you 😊
Y’all are the warmest couple that makes my heart just melt. Thank you for your inspiration ❤even though I’m a year behind ❤
Aww thank you 🥰❄️
Thank you so much for this very charming video! It makes me feel all warm and cozy and happy watching it. 💗
Aww so glad you liked the cozy video ❄️
Oooh!!! All the charming, cozy feelings! I love your winter bucket list, Lindsay and Jonas! Thank you for sharing! Happy Cozy Holidays to you both!🎄✨☃️
Thanks Tonia, so glad you liked the video! Happy Holidays! ❄️🎄
I have been busy making gnomes for my Christmas gifts. I currently have in my gnome home made up to 36 of these little guys out of the thrifted items needed for such a big undertaking. Merry Christmas 🎄🦌❤❄🎄🦌❤❄
Oh wow that sounds lovely!
Bonjour! I love the idea of orange bird feeders. I stick wooden skewers (2) across the orange half to provide a perch for our little feathery friends. Something to try?
That sounds like it would certainly help! A squirrel came and chewed the strings to our bird feeders last year 😹
You are both so cute! I love the activities on the bucket list. “Slow down and enjoy life” is excellent advice!
The cozy simple life ✨❄️
I’m looking forward to making the saffron buns again this winter!
@@itsacharminglife 🥰
You guys, I wasn't feeling it this yr, decided not to do much decorating at all. I kept 5 kittens last yr, they're still a curious bunch this yr. I thought about just dressing up the mantle, china cabinet and pie safe, after watching this, I'm back in the mood. THANKS 😊🎄
Aww glad we could help you get into the mood 🎄 we can imagine it'd be a challenge with kitties 😻

Some are still into everything
Wonderful vlog you both have such a delightful way of decorating for holidays or changing seasons through out the year. I have yet to start decorating but will start this week. My great granddaughter reminded me yesterday that Thanksgiving is over and I still have fall decorations LOL I promised as soon as it was the first I will put them away 💖
Aww we always hang onto the last of autumn too 🍁
Happy 1st Advent. And a charming winter!❄🧸💛🍯💜🔮💜🧚♀️
Happy 1st advent, excited for this charming winter! ❄️️
@@itsacharminglife So am I.🧸🍯
You both are so much fun to watch! Have a wonderful, warm holiday! 🎄🙏💕
Aw thanks, happy holidays to you too Diane!
You guys are so warming people and so kind 💖
Thanks Maria! So very sweet of you to say that! :)
Thank you for a delightful video. I enjoyed this with coffee. I smile more watching your UA-cam videos than many others. Happy holidays!
Aww that's the sweetest thing and we love that you enjoyed a cup of coffee with us! ✨❄️
Thank you.
Thanks fika friend! ✨ The owl candle holder is a thrift find from Sweden many moons ago🦉
