We hope you enjoy this narrated walking tour of Funchal's local Levada - Levada Dos Piornais, on Madeira Island, Portugal. This narrated walk shows you how to get to Levada Dos Piornais from Funchal Forum shopping centre.
Levada's are narrow waterways in Madeira that you can walk along - and there are over 2100Km of them. So take a walk along this local levada with us above the Lido area. This levada twists and turns around the the side of the hill overlooking Funchal Lido with Cabo Girao in the distance.
We turn off part way and guide you to Camara de Lobos, so this Levada is a perfect walk from Funchal to Camara de Lobos.

I didn't know that route exist'cos from down there when you taking bus or car from Funchal it's quite different view and thinking ,that there's no levada to Camara.You showing great landscapes,thanks a lot.😀

Definitely correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that the cement factory rather than "liquid" natural gas at the Funchal / Câmara de Lobos border?

Well, there is the cement factory behind it but there was "liquid" natural gas in that area, maybe it supplies the cement works, or the power station behind it?
